I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. I specialize in teaching both children and adults. I am primarily interested in adults, though, as I have an acting program that is based on a nine-personality profile called the Enneagram (this may be "too much" for children to grasp). That said, I am open to both children and adults, and I have appeared in various stage productions in Austin, Texas, as an actor. My last role was Iago in OTHELLO for which I received a National Falstaff Acting Award nomination for Best Supporting Male. I am also experienced in directing and playwriting for the theatre.

About Timothy

I am a very compassionate and empathic person. I am very dedicated to teaching acting and believe in positive reinforcement with constructive criticism. I would never aim to shame a student. My sole purpose is to make anyone interested in acting an effective actor. I would never push a student

In my vocal, audition, and performance coaching sessions, I focus on more specific topics. I can help you prepare for a specific performance or audition, including finding and labeling sheet
music, picking appropriate pieces and cuts, and working on your performance of selected pieces. I like to focus on physical communication and stage presence as these are essential tools in your arsenal for any type of performance. I will teach you how and what to research for character and story integrity in each performance, so that you can best connect with your audience.
Coaching sessions are booked as single sessions.

I found the instructor to be very patient and experienced. I am a beginner and have no experience with playing the piano and hopefully will learn from her experience.
Matthew
What can I say about Kalyse because there are not enough words to do so, however I will try and sum it up. Kalyse is truly gifted in many areas from acting to musical. Her acting skills are phenomenal and her voice is simply amazing on all levels. She is multitalented, innovative, assertive, and very caring. I would recommend anything on the spectrum for her.
Thandiwe Thomas
I’ve hired Kalyse as an actor multiple times. She’s also a great pianist and guitarist. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their instructor.

My son Merak just had his first class with David. At first we had to reschedule due to technical difficulties and David was extremely easy to work with when accommodating a new time. Today during the class David was professional and very knowledgeable. So far he is well worth the investment and I look forward to having him teach my son more.
