My son had his first lesson today and has already learned so many things! When the lesson ended, he smiled and told me it was so much fun and the teacher was nice. My son is a beginner at clarinet and usually has a hard time with learning new things, but he was able to understand Jason very well.

Scale work and technical drills are made fun through games and other means to keep things interesting :)
Repertoire work will be chosen according to experience level after basic assessment, we can work together to find something you enjoy playing.

Angelina Yuan-Fen Ho, a native of Hsinchu, Taiwan, began playing the flute at ten. In 2010, she received her B.A. in music from UC Berkeley, where she studied with Isabelle Chapuis, Julie McKenzie, and Maria Tamburrino. As an M.M. candidate in Flute Performance at the University of Maryland, she was a student of William Montgomery from 2010 to late 2012. Before she could complete the degree, significant health issues arose that prevented Yuan-Fen from continuing her studies and necessitated a hiatus from playing the flute. In 2015, Yuan-Fen reached sufficient recovery and decided to play the flute again. She had been studying with Emily Skala since late 2015. Since Fall 2018, Yuan-Fen has been pursuing her M.M. degree at the San Francisco Conservatory as a student of Timothy Day.

"We have a kid that has major anxiety issues, quit piano after a couple of years of learning nothing, and didn't want to play a musical instrument for the rest of her life.
