Having studied classical piano myself for several years and having a very supportive teacher. I learnt that it is best to learn classical pieces by section. Either Right Hand, Left Hand or Hands Together depending on your level of sight reading. Listening to the piece itself is also extremely helpful!

I have been teaching classical piano for 8 years and depending on your goal, I either use ABRSM series or a selection of pieces from compilation series.

The aim here is to learn at a steady pace, have patience, be consistent. Remember that the amount of practice you put in makes a big difference in how you will play at your lesson :) Practicing the day of, does not work. It is counter productive as students don't retain the information when sitting at the piano 5 mins before the lesson starts. Set aside a time in your week before your next lesson to go through and review what we do in class. If you only have 10 mins once a week then that is better than nothing at all. The ideal ...

About Francisca
I am a very passionate and dedicated instructor. I love working with students at all levels from ages 9 and up, from beginners to experienced adults. It doesn't matter where you are in your musical development, I can help and encourage you to be your very best. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Sydney Australia with (High Class Honors) and Majored in Music Performance and Sub Majors in Composition and Theatre. I have had the opportunity to perform in the USA at various venues and overseas in Australia at the Sydney Opera House to name a few.

My teaching experience dates back to my University days. I was in my first year of my music degree when I applied for my first teaching position at a music school in Australia. I taught there throughout the Four years of my Bachelor's Degree and remained teaching
there after that. I also started teaching at another well respected music school and remained there until the end of 2010. During this time I was very fortunate to have a large database of students who were with me from the beginning of my teaching career up until I left both schools. The only reason I left was as I am also a performer; I was offered an opportunity to perform overseas and i took it. It was a very exciting part of my life as a performer and has helped me grow as an artist and teacher immensely.

In 2012, I relocated to Miami and have been teaching from my private home studio while I continue working on my music career. As a musician and educator, I am very passionate about my teaching and like to bring the best out in my students. Every lesson is tailored specifically to your individual learning needs. I will teach you a vocal technique based on the Seth Riggs Teaching method with my own methods implemented, performance skills, repertoire selection, and audition preparation amongst other skills. It doesn't matter what your desired goal is, I can help you achieve it. The most important part of it all is that you have fun!!

And for piano I like to teach through a series of books depending on your learning levels. We can start at book one, with scales from the book A Dozen a Day, or we can take the the more traditional route of scales, or learn popular songs. This decision can be made by you and I when we meet at our first lesson and discuss what your goals are as a musician.

*** Lesson Details ***
Every lesson is tailored to your individual learning levels. I normally asses this in the first lesson. Lets start with the Singers.

Most singers are looking for help with contemporary popular music so using specific texts are void here. I will teach you a method of singing technique based on the Seth Riggs singing method, implemented with a technique called "Emotion Centered Singing" which will help you understand music beyond melody and composition but also through text and individual interpretation through story telling customed to your needs. I also teach Musical Theatre Singing, pop, rock, jazz, so if these are routes you would like to take, I can help you on your way there. I will help you choose repertoire for auditions, performances, we will work on performance and audition technique and many more fun things!!!

For the Pianists. This also depends on what you want to get out of your lessons. Do you want to learn pop songs? arrangements? Or do you want to learn classical pieces? I ask you all these questions and more at our first lesson to make sure you and I are both happy with the direction we will take. I use either Scale Books or The Dozen a Day Series or the ABRSM Piano series, Alfred's Adult Piano book and many more. Once again the important factor here is Fun based learning!

*** Studio Equipment ***
I provide a full size digital weighted piano for all Lessons, it has various different sounds and a great grand piano sound for piano students. Printer for any homework given, and stationery

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide some books for learning and make copies accordingly. The student should have a working piano/keyboard in the home. If i request they purchase a book for their learning development, they are required to purchase it.

*** Specialties ***
For Singing- I teach a method called Speech Level Singing. Similar to the Seth Riggs Speech level singing as well as a technique called Emotion centered singing which deals with connecting with the song and feeling the connection through the core. This is useful for performance and interpretation. I specialize in teaching, Pop, RnB, Musical Theatre, Rock and Folk

For Piano, I use a variety a books. I particularly like the Alfred's series as well as the Bastien Series. I also like to encourage other learning materials for holidays which is lots of fun!! This depends on the students learning level. I asses learning levels in the first lesson and plan lessons accordingly after that in order to have the student progress each week. I teach classical piano and contemporary, pop

I have known Francisca since late 2015 and come to know pretty well. She is an outstanding singer, composer, song writer, actress and musician. I have had the honor to attend many of her performances, including one in Lake Worth, FL as part of the Core Ensemble. All I can say is that until I heard her performance in Lake Worth I had no idea the depth of her talent. She is a great teacher and sets a high, but achievable bar for students. That’s how students grow. If you are lucky enough to have her for your teacher you are in good hands.

I prefer the Suzuki piano system in books one through three for their ability to incorporate higher level musicality early on, but also use the Bastien system for learning chords and basic theory.

The first lesson was great. She explained some of the fiddle's background, how to hold it, and how to play it all in an interactive way. The time flew by. My daughter is very enthusiastic about the lessons & even more excited about the fiddle than before the lesson. Kathleen is awesome.

I have been a professional piano player for many years and I tend to teach my students all techniques and methods to the fullest.
Piano needs to be taught with absolute perfection so that students fall in love with the music.

About Ghazal
Music is a tool for spiritual progress of every human being.

I started Piano when I was 8 years old. My siblings were taking lessons at that time and hearing them play it made me fall in love with Piano, therefore, my parents had me get started in taking lessons as well. I have been playing Piano for about 15 years now and it started to become part of my everyday life. I have had four different teachers for piano and they were all amazing teachers. One of my private piano teachers was a student of Iran’s most popular pianist and composer, Emanuel Malek Aslanian. I also had an amazing Piano instructor back in Iran who made me become an expert in techniques as well as enjoying the melodies. I mainly play and teach Classical music. Beethoven and Mozart are my favorite composers and I enjoy playing their pieces very much.
I have been te
aching piano for about 4 years now and it is very joyful. I love communicating with my students and do my best to help them discover their talents and interest. I want the students to enjoy what they learn and play.

I also have a BS in Biological Sciences from University of California, Irvine. Biology also taught me how Music has such great influences on human body and soul. It relaxes people and help them get through difficulties. Being a Bio students and teaching Piano at the same time was the best thing that ever happened to me, that's why I really want everyone to experience music in their lives and get touched by it.

I also speak Two languages; English and Farsi. I am Persian and was born and raised in Iran. I moved to the USA when I was 15 years old.

I cannot wait to start working with you and teach you to my best ability what you desire to learn.

*** Lesson Details ***
One of the most important tools in my teaching is to get to know my students well. I try to maintain a really close friendship with my students. I want to know what type of music/style my students are interested in and make sure I bring out their talents and teach them the necessary techniques as well. Students need to enjoy what they play and I make sure that they do. I also talk to my students about their goals and what they want to achieve by learning Piano and motivate them to go for what they want to learn.
Piano should be joyful and exciting. I hope that my students learn the techniques as well as their style of music after being with me for a while and I do my best to discover that in them.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a Piano at home.

*** Travel Equipment ***
students should have a piano/keyboard available at their homes. They should be able to buy their own books as well once I choose a book based on their abilities for them.

*** Specialties ***

It was awful. She never showed up after almost $300.000. The first 2 weeks she made excuses. The third week she just didn't bother. We want our money back. This is a scam, and very disappointed. We got a keyboard for our daughter for Christmas to learn piano. She hasn't been able to use her nice Yamaha weighted piano keyboard yet. Shameful

In my lessons, we will cover technique, scales, and repertoire. I do emphasize basic theory to help students better understand the music and learn pieces more quickly. While working on these technicalities, I also try to make lessons fun and engaging so that the music has depth and a natural flow rather than mechanical approach that tends to make music dry and robotic.

About Christina
My name is Christina and I am very passionate about the vocal arts, specifically Opera. Opera was a surprise in my life that I discovered in college. I am now currently pursuing my MM degree in vocal arts at UCLA. The classical technique can provide a great foundation to healthy singing, ensuring a long and healthy vocal life.

Along side opera and other genres of singing, I believe basic knowledge in piano is extremely beneficial in improving musicality and an understanding of each piece. Piano greatly improves sight reading and ones ability to learn music quickly and efficiently. It can allow one to develop an understanding of harmony and context within each unique piece of music.

I would love to help and guide those interested in music, specifically classical voice, opera, musical theater, and piano. I would love to share the gre
at joy it brings me with others and pass down what I have learned over the years. I have completed courses in music pedagogy and education alongside my degree, and believe in shaping my lessons around each individual's learning style so that each student may continue to grow while having fun. Helping each student develop their own unique musical identity is one of the main goals with these lessons.

I strive to create an individualized experience for every student. I hope my students feel supported and able to express their creativity at every skill level. I work to create an effective balance of technique, repertoire, and fun so that students can look forward to their lessons and be excited about their progress.

In addition to improving technique and repertoire knowledge, I work on ear training and theory so that students can gain the most of their experience and continue to teach themselves throughout the week during practice sessions and listening to music in every-day life. I ask students to bring in their favorite popular songs so that we can get them playing and connecting with their favorite tunes.

About Sarah
I am a teacher, performer, composer, arranger, engineer, and so much more. My love of music began when I started taking lessons at age 5 and continued through a Bachelor's Degree in Piano and Music Technology. I have taken private lessons from incredible musicians, become proficient in many styles including jazz, rock, blues, soul, classical, and more. I have been teaching music for over 5 years and I love working with beginning and intermediate piano players and horn players of all levels. I realize that each student is unique and always approach individual lessons with my student's particular goals in mind. I have a basic curriculum that I use in order to build a solid musical foundation for my students, but I am open to working on whatever kind of music or repertoire that they may enjoy. It is always exciting to me when a student learns a new skill that helps them in their musical expression or achieves a goal (such as playing a song they really enjoy) that gives them a little extra fulfillment in life.

About Rachel
I am a freelance horn player with a passion for teaching both horn and piano. I have a Bachelor's of Music from The University of Arizona and a Master's of Music from California State University Long Beach.

I have been teaching privately and in group settings for over 5 years and really enjoy getting to pass on the knowledge and musicianship that I have received from my teachers on to the next generation.

Hi there! I have been teaching and playing piano for 11 years. I teach all levels but like to work with younger students aged 3-16. I want to instill a passion for piano and an appreciation for all types of music.

About Sabra
Hi there! My name is Sabra Charles and I am excited to work with you. I have been playing piano for 11 years and have been teaching for 3. I have 4 younger siblings who all play instruments so I have seen first hand how important it is to start music education at a young age.

With students I like to stress the importance of sight reading and pitch. I teach using John Brimhal, and Dog and Bird methods. Many of my lessons focus on chords, chord structures, and chord progressions.

I encourage students to start with classical music and then branch out into other genres. I myself enjoy jazz as well as classical and pop. Students will also learn about piano composition as that is a great way to express themselves.

In addition to piano I play guitar, ukulele, and drums. When I am not playing music or teaching I enjoy swimming and bowling. I
also help with the music program at Seton high school. I work full time at in Tri-Health radiology.

I look forward to working with you! Have a blessed day.
