I currently teach trumpet at the New School for Leadership and the Arts, but I have many years' experience teaching music to students of all ages. I teach to the abilities, passions, and ambitions of the student(s).
About Gio
I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is what I'm passionate about and it's what I enjoy. I want to inspire that same passion into the hearts and minds of others.
*** Lesson Details ***
I am a laid-back teacher, fun, and I focus on the needs, abilities, and ambitions of the student. In turn, students must realize that learning an instrument takes a lot of work and dedication. One can't expect to learn very much if s/he only practices or thinks about the instrument during the lesson. If the student is willing to put some time into practicing, then I will help them go far!
*** Studi
I have several guitars, a drum kit, djembe, mandolin, clarinet and full-size keyboard.
*** Specialties ***
Guitar: Classical, jazz, American or Irish folk, rock and pop; lead or rhythm.
Drums & Percussion: All genres
Piano: Classical (includes sight reading)

I have been teaching trumpet for 22 years. I have an earned Masters degree in music and enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am happily married with 5 children at home--4 of them are musicians as well (the youngest is 4).. Students will quickly learn not only the basics of music theory, but will be playing songs as early as their first lesson. It is extremely rewarding watching students have fun, excel, and fall in love with making music. I presently teach music at 3 schools (1 college) and only have a few lessons slots available. I look forward to working with you.

Hi! I have a Bachelors in Music Education and have experience teaching many beginning students! I have 3 children and decided to give up regular teaching to be with them. I believe that tone production is the most important area of study. It doesn’t matter what you can play if it doesn’t sound good. I can’t wait to help more students love to “play” on their instruments!
About Kim
I have worked with many different age groups and levels of ability. I am happy to help you learn to have fun and "play" your instrument!

I am a musician with expierence playing French Horn with professional orchestras and chamber groups. I have spent 5 years teaching privately and held positions teaching in the public schools. Through my public school experience I have had the opportunity to give many trumpet lessons. In my lessons we not only focus on having good sound, technique, and musicianship but also having fun while playing the instrument! It is my goal to bring the students personality out through their music.
About Chris
I started my career at Florida State University and majored in both Music Education and Horn Performance. During my four years at Florida State I performed at two international horn conferences, a regional and national College Band Directors Association convention, and competed at two southeastern horn workshops. While in Tallahassee, I won the 2nd horn position with the Tallahassee Symphony and section horn with the Sinfonia Gulf Coast. I also received numerous honors including the Big Arts Classical Music Scholarship and runner up for the Florida State Young Artist Concerto Competition. After graduating in 2017 I was awarded the graduate bras
During my performance career I spent my spare time teaching students! From 2014 to now I have taught many private students some of which have performed with honor ensembles. I also taught in the Florida Public School system in 2018 as a brass clinician and orchestra director. It is extremely important for a teacher to have both playing and instructional experience which is a quality I take pride in.
