I teach every student the technical skills and applied theory necessary to work in any contemporary style on guitar. I use the "Be better than you have to be" approach. Want to be the best on a bad day? Be better than your chosen style requires. I studied classical and jazz in order to excel at rock, folk and blues.
You will learn to read music and charts for guitar, as well as movable scale patterns, movable chord forms, and how to apply it all to master the fretboard.
Have you hit a road block? I can help. Are you brand new and want to be sure you understand the instrument completely? I can help.

I specialize in flamenco guitar, one of the richest styles of guitar playing. The techniques and fundamentals of flamenco are valuable resources for any guitarist, regardless of genre or style. While everything is taught through the filter of flamenco, students will gain a wealth of knowledge applicable to the guitar in general.
One can expect to start by developing a full technical routine aimed at developing stamina, strength, precision, and speed. All fundamental techniques will be introduced. Rhythm will be emphasized throughout. Harmony studies will be introduced where appropriate. Repertoire is given according to each student's capabilities and tastes, including resources for accompanying dance and singing.
About Gustavo Alonso
PERSONAL BIO I am a North American flamenco guitarist currently living in Austin, Texas. My music is grounded in traditional flamenco and incorporates elements of jazz, classical, and world music. My fascination with music and the guitar began early, and I picked up the instrument in earnest at

Over the last decade of teaching guitar full time to hundreds of students, my passion remains the same - teaching my students how to play the guitar, not just the songs. My own journey as a heavy metal lead guitarist and songwriter who's transitioned to classical music, folk and the blues has prepared me to teach how to play the guitar in almost every single style of music.
About Greg
For the last thirty years, from the day that I got my first electric as a teenager, to my work today as an acoustic guitarist for the band, Timberwood, and currently as a teacher of more than forty students a week, my life has been devoted to the guitar. I'm an experienced veteran of the meta

He lets you pick the genre and even songs that you'd like to play. His classical training means that you get experience in sight reading music and musical theory. I'm a bit of weird bird that I like blues and punk rock. He taught me the basics in both so I can have a great time just jamming out with him or with some of my talented friends.
Overall, if you're looking to invest some money in lessons, Ahmad is the place to go."

This guy is a pretty amazing teacher, knows his theory and can easily help you learn the fundamentals of the instrument through the upper levels. Edwin's style is especially suited to anyone trying to learn to improv from either an intuitive or theoretical viewpoint."

I have had a handful of guitar instructors before I came to Kyle. I have been playing guitar for probably 6 years on and off. I had a hard time sticking with it because my other instructors bored me to death and I just couldn't learn the way they taught. With Kyle though it is totally different. I have been taking lessons from him for I think over a year now and have made tons of progress. Given I already knew basics, I relearned pretty fast, but Kyle has a unique way of teaching that just works great. He teaches everyone different and does whatever he can to keep his students excited about music. Kyle has a very chilled personality and is a fun guy to be around. I would very highly recommend Kyle to anyone who is trying to learn Guitar or bass guitar."

It may not always be center stage, but the bass is arguably the most important instrument on the bandstand. The bass guitar serves as the glue that holds all of the other instruments together, and a solid bass line can make all the difference between a hit song and an average one. If you’re interested in learning how to play bass, it won’t be long until you can hold down a steady groove and unlock a world of musical collaboration. It’s easy to get down the basics of bass, but make no …
