In this class I will be teaching how to incorporate the song with the acting, the performing the part along with the music. Singing a song by itself is not entertaining, it's not something you want to watch. I'm going to show you and teach you how to perform a piece so it mean something. How to find depth in your song!

Sarah took my completely overwhelmed daughter, who is struggling with her college ASL class vocabulary, and calmed her, reassured her, and helped her more thoroughly understand her signs. That was just after one 45-minute session. I’m excited to see where this leads, as she has already helped so much!

My name is Justin, and I've been tutored by Paul since October 2018. I came to him without any prior music experience and unsure if I could ever learn to play the guitar. I'm glad that I chose him as my tutor. He knows how to explain different concepts in a way that I can understand. That coupled with his eagerness for me to get better makes him an excellent teacher. Every time I attend his class I'm always motivated to improve. I would definitely recommend him to anyone trying to play an instrument.
Braylen W.
My son's first lesson with Paul went well. My son has ADHD and keeping his attention takes work. Even though my son had a meltdown during his lesson, Paul showed patience and continued to encourage him. After my son's first lesson, he was excited and told us how much he enjoyed drums.

I am an adult beginner violinist. When I first met Stephanie, I had barely touched a violin, but I was determined to learn how to play it. With her help and patience, I am progressing through the Suzuki method as well as doing ear training and music theory. Stephanie is an excellent musician as well as instructor! Her method of teaching keeps the students engaged, encouraged and excited about learning music from all sides of it.

I strongly recommend Ms. Quinn. She is amazing. I love a teacher who is passionate about what she does and Ms. Quinn has motivated me to love the violin and work harder to improve. She is slightly strict but very patience and kind, always pushing you to work hard and do your best. I learned to play violin a few years ago as a beginner and stopped playing for a few years. I was nervous to begin online violin lessons considering that I learn better face to face. However, Ms. Quinn has done an amazing job at teaching me, I have been taking lessons with her for a year now and have learned so much I didn’t know before which has also grown my love for violin.

Stephanie helped my younger one prepare for competition. She was highly skillful, supportive yet strict. Initially, my girl was a bit nervous to work with Stephanie because of her high reputation. Stephanie was very kind and fun, using metaphors to help my 10-year old understand the music. She not only helped my child overcome barriers to master the music piece but also shared much practical advice for competition. We did not expect this but my 10-year old won the first prize and was invited to perform in Carnegie Hall New York. Highly recommend Stephanie!!!

"I have worked with Ms. Christine for over six years, and she has been an invaluable member of our school. Christine is an excellent music teacher. She is aware of a variety of approaches to teaching music, and is constantly broadening her musical talents. She has worked to create interdisciplinary experiences as well, by integrating song, instrumentals, and dance with literature, through performances for the school.

She enjoys children and brings wonderful excitement to their music experience. She creates relevant lesson plans and incorporates movement and other modalities into her music lessons. If you walk into a music lesson, students are moving and making music! They are engaged!

I highly recommend Ms. Christine."

"Bill is a thoughtful teacher, an amazing musician, and a really caring guy

I would highly recommend Bill! He is such a great player and teacher! He has helped enormously with my saxophone playing, clarinet playing, and improvising.

Since my saxophone playing is already fairly advanced. In our lessons on saxophone focus heavily on advanced jazz improvisation topics, like standard tunes, and transcription. He is so knowledgeable on these advanced topics but is really great at showing me the basics so that I can learn at my own level and pace.

On clarinet Bill and I work on more classical studies and instrument technique to get my clarinet playing more on track.

Bill is such a patient and motivating teacher. It is clear that he cares deeply about MY SUCCESS in music. He has helped me feel good about my musical progress and inspired me to work harder!

He has even given me lots of great music business advice, and helped me think about what I want out of music in my life.

Bill is so easy to get along with and is really careful to explain things in a way that I can understand them.

Its been really awesome getting to know and work with him!"

"Rick is a fantastic improv and just overall music teacher. As a professional guitar player I have found Rick's deep understanding of both music and the art of teaching to prove most valuable. His methodical approach taught me not only what kind of notes to choose from, but how to use my ear to decide how I want to play. I would highly recommend Rick's method for any instrument at any level!"

"Tom is an amazing music instructor! My review won’t even scratch the surface of explaining what a fantastic teacher he is! Tom has taught our 4 children since 2008 when they started at School of Rock (SOR). When Tom left SOR and started giving private lessons, we left SOR because we saw the value Tom gave our children. He does a great job of challenging his students, yet keeping it interesting for them. (He's still teaching our kids after 6 years; they never get bored with his lessons and look forward to them every week!) Tom also does a fantastic job of blending music theory into everything he teaches. Our oldest child has a passion for music, and is now studying music at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Tom played a huge part in our son getting into Berklee and giving him the skills he needs to succeed while there. I recommend Tom to any level of student. He is simply the best!"

"Eric B. was the music instructor for both my children at the middle and high school they attended. Additionally, I taught with Eric for seven years.

My children received excellent music instruction in both trombone and flute. I was pleased with the rigor of the practice that was expected from Eric, which enabled dramatic growth in their musical ability. I was also pleased that they were both able to read music due to the instruction they were given under Eric's tutelage.

As I said earlier, I have worked with Eric as a colleague. I found him to be highly organized, student centered with regard to growth and performance, and a man of high character.

Eric created a Jazz band curriculum at the school corporation we taught at, where he developed several Jazz sections that would perform regularly in the community. Eric would invite notable guest musicians to work with the students and participate with them in these performances.

I would recommend Eric, without reservations, to anyone who desires a quality music instructor."

Jordan D. has a big passion for music, and a big heart for equipping people for the musical endeavors ahead of them. He is always encouraging and always positive. Even if I feel like I could have done better, he celebrates me where I am, which has taught me to have more confidence while singing, playing guitar or charango, and even glockenspiel.
