In Music performance, whether you are in a band, in a musical or have solo ambitions you need to know the "tricks" of stage performance. There are several techniques that a performer can use to enhance that performance.
Looking to get the lead in a school musical? I can help you not only enhance your audition but more importantly make it to where people will remember you after the show.

About Gabriel
My name is Gabriel. I have been playing and teaching for over 25 years both piano and Voice. As a Music Major and Christian Education major at Johnson Bible College I not only learned the skills needed to be a musician but also how to teach what I had learned.

As a Student you will find that learning to play and sing can be fun and easy. I always make my lessons enjoyable and I add humor, games and other instruments to enhance your learning experience.

I am both a musician and song writer. I have a great time teaching and work great with both Children and adults. I love it when working with people and that "Light" comes on when they realize "I really learned something." I live for those moments.

I have worked with students of all levels. I even work with children with special needs. So no matter what you would like to
do with your music, play for enjoyment, compose music, sing, for church or professionally I can help you get there.

*** Lesson Details ***
The lessons I teach are fun and educational. No matter who you are I am able to teach you.
I do not teach traditional piano. Why? Because most people are unable to play this style due to issues with eye hand coordination. The Method I teach "Chord Percussion Style" teaches a strong foundation in piano basics backed by a Strong Music Theory base. I have yet to find anyone who has not been able to learn with this method.
For voice I teach natural voice as opposed to Head Voice. This allows the student to learn to sing in a solo or group setting. You will be amazed at the difference a few adjustments can make in your voice. So as you continue your lessons with us you will see constant improvement.
On top of Voice and Piano I can help you learn to write your own music. Using the theory that you use you will learn to start to piece music together.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Keyboard - Roland Weighted Keys
Amplifier
Bongos
Guitar

*** Specialties ***
I teach Chord Percussion Style which is based on the use of chords and strong piano fundamentals and mixed with in-depth Music Theory and percussion technique. Super Fun for all ages!

What can I say about Gabriel as I am sure there are no words to say how awesome he is.Gabriel is my first piano teacher I have had since childhood piano lessons.
I was very nervous to try to play in front of him or anyone. Gabriel is very kind and gentile in his instructions. His method of teaching brought out of me what I thouht I had long forgotten.
Gabriel works well with adults and children as well.

Jan is a fun and dynamic instructor whose patience and attention to the needs of her students has been instrumental in helping my daughter enjoy and thrive in her voice and piano lessons. While some instructors, in our experience, have been excellent musicians but poor teachers, Jan's style and flexibility make her an ideal person for passing on her knowledge to students, so that they in turn develop their own musical talents and shine. Many thanks, Jan, for your gifts!

Learn to rock the stage!!

About Russell
I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and hopefully for a lot longer! I began as a blues player in the south and over time studied jazz, classical and of course rock n roll. I have over 11 years experience as a guitar instructor in music schools and private lessons. I have taught over 200 students from ages 6-65. I consider myself a guitar instructor not a teacher. I instruct you on how to teach yourself the guitar. A mere guide so that you can keep learning this great instrument long after the last lesson ends.  I graduated from Atlanta Institute Of Music in 2002 and have toured around the country as well as scored for film and studio session work. Lets ROCK!

*** Lesson Details ***
I am like a musical Yoda. :) I have an innovative teaching style that I have honed over 11 years of working with students of all ages, backgrounds and
most importantly learning methods. Everyone receives information differently. Some audibly. Some visually and some strictly by hands on doing. My methods are based upon your learning style so that I can optimally convey the lesson information.  I can guarantee with your dedication you will progress farther with my lessons in just a few months than you have in years! I teach Rock, Blues, Pop, Jazz from scales, reading, theory, and ear training to straight up rocking your favorite songs. Whether you are a beginner or a advanced player looking to get out of that rut. Lets begin your journey!

*** Travel Equipment ***

I enjoyed it!

I took lessons with Russ in Atlanta GA and really enjoyed myself! His professionalism was awesome and also was a very friendly and accessable instructor. We became great friends and to this day, I credit him with helping me develop the passion I now have for the instrument. Russ was never late and always encouraged me to become not only a better player, but all around performer and person. I would highly recommend him as a teacher for any age and any gender!

All my students have multiple opportunities to perform throughout the year. I generally put on a Christmas student recital and a student recital just before summer break. In addition to these 'concerts', I offer performance classes once every other month where students get together and do a variety of activities which may include playing for each other, jamming, performing as duos and trios, or taking a lesson in front of the group. We have fun and all learn a lot at the same time!

About Phillip
I teach music. The guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele just happen to be the particular instruments I choose. Music as a language, discipline, and art, is the goal. I've been teaching, performing, studying, composing, for some thirty years. I've studied and gigged in the classical, jazz, rock, blues, R & B, and country idioms. I've taught composition and improvisation to instruments other than guitar, (vocalists, fiddle, sax, piano, trumpet) I've taught all ages and levels. I currently pursue a doctorate of music in guitar at university. Students learn many things when studying with me. They learn physically how to play a particular instrument while learning music as its own language. Students learn how to learn, learn self-discipline, and access their musical expression, all potential life changing experiences. I am happy and
excited to announce I am available for on-line lessons, and will now be able to work with students from all over the world, regardless of distance or location!

*** Lesson Details ***
I am laid back, but at the same time very goal directed. I like to do technique and/or vocabulary, note reading, and songs every lesson. After six months students are able to to 'jam', (improvise over chord changes such as the blues). They are well on their way to becoming literate, probably a third way through the first book. They probably can play a half dozen songs well, and are starting to strum (comp) chord progressions in a musically rhythmic way. They may even have played in a couple concerts by then.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Office studio w/ guitar, bass, amps, and seating for parents, computer with skype capability.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I bring my guitar and writing tools, extra picks, extra paper etc. Students provide their own instrument, method book, staff paper, notebook paper. Hopefully they have a music stand and their own guitar picks and other items relevant for the study of their instrument.

*** Specialties ***
Classical, jazz, rock, blues, country, bluegrass, theory/composition, improvisation

We were thrilled with Josh! Our son really enjoyed his lessons and improved significantly working with him for the last year. Josh is a motivational teacher - our son WANTED to practice each day and that is because of Josh's inspiration and modeling what it takes to be a great drummer. Our son gained both the confidence and ability to audition for an make it into 3 high school bands this year. He couldn't have done it without Josh. He's a terrific percussion teacher and a great guy!

Josh is the absolute most attentive music teacher any of my kids have ever had. He spoke with my son in a manner that was welcoming, understandable and patient! No temperament at all. He praised at the right times to encourage my son and quickly corrected issues. The lesson continued without breaks for the whole hour plus, but seemed like 15 minutes. I was incredibly impressed and also had a very entertaining time as I learned about drums in the process. Also, my son has ADHD. I thought my son would have trouble focusing. But with Josh's innate ability to work with him, the ADHD never was an issue. I would totally recommend Josh to anyone wanting to learn drums. Absolutely great session. Also, getting a sampling of his drumming skills was so very cool to see.
