My beginning guitar lessons are formulated to not only teach the guitar and how to play, but also how to learn to hear music and the patterns of music. Much like my piano teaching I teach the student the "hows" and the "whys" or music and the guitar.
They will learn strumming techniques, chording, chord patterns, scales, Accompaniment and stage presence. The student will be required to provide his or her own guitar.

About Gabriel

My name is Gabriel. I have been playing and teaching for over 35 years both piano and Voice, Theater, Songwriting, Film, Stage Acting and so much more. As a Music Major and Christian Education major at Johnson Bible College. As a Student you will find that learning to play and sing can be fun a

Karen obviously loves the piano & guitar. She’s probably an excellent teacher for those instruments. Why do I say that? That’s what she talked about! She spent half my lesson trying to convince me to learn one of those instruments. Could work on listening skills! Not even sure if she owns a set of bongos herself. Didn’t start teaching me anything until last 10 min & then I had to leave early anyway. So 50 min out of 60 and about 5 I actually learned a few things I could have been practicing for at least 30 min of class. Use her if you want to learn something else other than bongos.

Ms. Karen did a pretty good job, she had ideas for the lesson and provided ideas for the next lesson. She went out of her way to help me with this new idea---------"music" and "reading music." If there was any short fall in the lesson it was on my side and my preparation failings. I have no problem recommending Ms. Karen to others. Regards, JC

Extremely knowledgeable! Karen is a superb guitar instructor. Honestly, I was struggling. Discouraged! She helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses, and moved me from beginner to intermediate in a matter of months. If you’re getting tired of learning from YouTube and smart phone apps, let Karen kick start your guitar playing. You’ll be glad you did. Thanks Karen!!

One of the subdivisions of Music Theory, Composition is a closer look at musical form and style. Counterpoint, melody and harmony along with rhythm and meter are discussed in great depth. Broadening the student’s knowledge of composers and their output is a key component as well.
Listening to music, start to finish, often times with a score in hand, is essential to understanding how music is composed. This can include early music or popular music of today.

I searched for an excellent upright bass teacher for a good while. Then I found David Lloyd. David is patient, humorous, friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Jason is always very open to our suggestions and feedback on our son's progress and makes any adjustments necessary to keep him engaged. Additionally, Jason is always on time and if we need to make scheduling changes he does his best to work with us to accommodate.

How to Play the Violin Like Lindsey Stirling

The inimitable Lindsey Stirling has shaken the world’s concept of classical music. From sold-out shows around the globe to her top-ranked YouTube video for "Crystallize," she’s come a long way since being eliminated in the quarter-finals of “America’s Got Talent” in 2010.
