Music theory is the beautiful system behind what we hear when we listen to our favorite pieces. Understanding it will unlock the tools to creating more advanced and more fully realized music for yourself. It will also allow you to understand and appreciate what's going on when you're listening.

Evan is patient, understanding and most of all an excellent teacher. He rolls with you at your pace. I feel I have learned more from him with my banjo in a very short period of time than I have learned in a couple of years of guitar. He is fantastic!!
He is very good teacher. I would recommended him to anyone.
I have had two lessons with Evan so far, and I always schedule my next lesson at the end of each session, as I'm so excited to go back and learn more. Not only are the lessons very informative, and helpful, but he sends me home with video of what we had gone over in the day. This is extremely helpful! When I practice, I have something to revert back to, to help me remember exactly everything he taught me.
