After studying singing off and on for more than 30 years, i won't be surprised if anyone calls him the best singing teacher in Los Angeles. He has the best sets of vocal exercise which can relax your voice, build your resonance, and help you hit your notes accurately in your range. Very very happy to have him teaching me.

Students learn how to play rhythm and lead while applying the knowledge to songs by their favorite artists.

About Jon
I have been playing guitar since the age of 9. I have studied Classical, and Jazz at CCM's Prep Dept. in middle school and throughout high school as well as rock, folk, country etc. with other local teachers. I started teaching lessons at the age of 18 in local music stores and have never stopped. While doing this I attended The College of Mount St. Joseph where I studied Classical and Jazz guitar as well as Music Ed. In addition to my 22 years of private lesson experience, I have 2 years of classroom experience teaching general music in elementary schools. I believe it is my years as a student and instructor that enable me to be an effective teacher, having had learned what worked for me as a student, and what has shown to work as a teacher.

*** Lesson Details ***
I cater my lesson to the individual. I like for students to have
a structured practice routine and working knowledge of music and their instrument, but it has to be fun. I have students who learn Classical, rock, and Jazz. Each lesson is different. Some people just want to be able to play their favorite songs by a camp fire, and others want to go on to perform at Carnegie Hall. I enjoy teaching both lessons and put forth the same enthusiasm for each one. You get out of the guitar or bass what you put into it in terms of learning and practicing. The level of achievement is up to you, I will help guide you to meet your goals regardless of how large or small they are.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Spare music room: guitars, amps, bass; computer with recording software, ProTools seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have all the equipment necessary. I would like the student to have an instrument, but if not I can provide one for the lesson.

*** Specialties ***
I'm really pretty versatile. Over 18 years of teaching anywhere from 80 to 100 students a week will do that.

I started taking lessons with Patrick as a beginner and will forever be thankful for the knowledge and skills that he gave to me. Beyond being an amazing guitarist and teacher, Patrick is a great guy who will make sure you're not only learning and progressing but also enjoying the process. He also makes great music recommendations, I swear he showed me half the music I listen to today. I would recommend Patrick to anyone, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to guitar.

Pat is an awesome teacher- he's a true student of music. it was really cool to have a teacher with such a wide range of music interests. Pat helped me out with some folk stuff I was really interested in, but I was just so impressed by his music knowledge. Definitely appreciated his patience and willingness to give some helpful hints and tricks. Pat got me from the point where I could play, to now, I can play and have fun with it!

I started with Peter when I was 13 years old and continued taking weekly lessons until I was 19. In those 7 years Peter helped take my playing from an intermediate level to a near expert level. Our weekly meetings ranged from just learning new songs, music theory, or just jamming over backing tracks we would create. Peter is knowledgable in every form of music. In our years of lessons we enjoyed playing classic rock, blues, jazz, classical, and gypsy jazz. Peter was able to walk me teach me through the beginning levels of Music Theory.

Most importantly through our 7 years together, became was able to take me from a very shy musician to someone who was very confident on stage playing at different bars. Peter went from being a teacher to a very close friend as he helped me grow. Although I do not take lessons with him anymore due to being away at college, I keep in touch with Peter every time I am home.

I would highly recommend Peter to anyone at any level guitar playing. He has the patience someone needs if you're just starting out and the expertise to help take even some of the best players to the next level.

Experienced Guitarist welcoming all ages! 13 years playing Guitar with 2 years teaching. Your goals are my goals: jamming to your favorite songs, improvisation, music theory, or songwriting, we will focus on the skills you want to develop. Individually tailored curriculum, guided practice with thoughtful feedback, and a welcoming, safe environment are the key to fostering growth and confidence. Favorite artists include James Taylor, Led Zeppelin, Courtney Barnett, Hiatus Kaiyote, and many more! This instrument has brought me immeasurable joy and comfort over the years, and I hope to share the gift of Music with you.

About Tommy
If you have ever shredded a killer air-guitar solo, sung away a hard day to a smooth acoustic rhythm, or lost yourself in the impossibly catchy chorus of a great song, then you are in good company. You have the heart of a musician.

I have been playing guitar for 13 years, and I have been teaching for the last 2 years. I play in a band around the city of Chicago, frequenting various colorful venues and bringing people together with my music. There is no experience quite like it!

I accept all ages, and I specialize in Beginner/Intermediate students. I have a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Northwestern University, where I studied Theatre and Physics, practicing guitar regularly throughout my collegiate career. I am great with kids and adults alike, and I rarely meet a soul I don't get along with. I am an expert communicator and
an avid listener, investing myself in the goals of my students.

I have a unique music education. I was trained professionally in Voice and Guitar for 3 years in Charlotte, NC, after which I continued my music education independently. Because I taught myself for so many years, I developed an understanding of exactly what I needed to improve my skills, forging my own "curriculum" as I advanced, and always challenging myself to push outside of my comfort zone. This experience prepared me to give thoughtful, focused feedback to my students who are beginning or continuing their own musical adventures.

I teach both Acoustic and Electric Guitar, specializing in Blues, Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Country, Contemporary Rock, Acoustic styles, and many more. I am comfortable with all genres and can tailor lessons for individual tastes. Ask me about some of my favorite artists!

Fun Fact: I can learn many songs I encounter in minutes, if not seconds! This is because, when I was young, my parents would challenge me to play songs they loved but that I had never heard before. I became adept at learning music "by ear," having a grasp on most songs I tried to learn just by listening. I welcome the same challenge from you! Bring me a song on our first lesson and I will show you what I--and someday you, too--can do.

I would be honored to share this gift with you. It has made my life so full and been such a comfort in difficult times. I look forward to being a part of your musical career!

My personal teaching philosophy is that music is a beautiful transcendental art form, and it's my job to find the student's connection to music and help them enjoy it to its fullest capacity. Whether it's a young beginner, old hobbyist, or aspiring professional I understand that everyone's learning process is unique and it's my job to find and nurture that.

I predominantly play jazz and have an extensive theory and composition background, so I can educate on many subjects. Some of my primary focuses are: technique, fretboard knowledge, chord vocabulary, sound/tone, articulation styles and personal stylistic choices, and many more.
