About Jane
I am a graduate of Lawrence University with a BA in Music (Piano) and German. I've played piano for more than 20 years, but in college performed more with voice. In college as a BA candidate I was able to take a variety of lessons, including classical piano (my major), jazz piano, classical voice, and jazz voice. One of my favorite projects in college included a recital comprised of all the types of music I love playing and learning about such as a solo piano piece, a few piano duets, a piece where I sang and accompanied myself, a vocal jazz small group, and a few others.

Taking lessons with me I can teach you specifics on classical voice or piano and jazz voice or piano, but we can also work on combining them!

*** Lesson Details ***
Lessons with me will be laid-back but focused. Each student will receive an individualized curric
ulum based upon their needs/wants from their lessons. Believe me, I've had some bone-dry teachers in the past, and if you're not having fun and liking what you're doing, you're most likely going to forget the lesson you just had. We're going to learn by having fun and doing what I love most!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Music room, full-sized live-action keyboard, two chairs and bench, mirror, room for parents wait

*** Travel Equipment ***
Students need to have a piano or a full-sized keyboard on which to practice or have lessons.

*** Specialties ***
Personally I am interested in many different genres of music (classical voice, jazz voice, classical piano, jazz piano, accompanying), and in college I was able to take many different kinds of lessons to fulfill my needs. As a result, I feel very comfortable teaching others about all sorts of different genres of music.

Jane is VERY patient and super fun! Our daughter is a tough cookie, but she absolutely adores Miss Jane and has done her best piano work since starting with her. I highly recommend her! And the ability for lessons to be in the home is just beyond convenient.

We had our first lesson with Jane last night. Lily is a tough cookie, but Jane handled her REALLY well. Also LOVE having the lesson in our home. With our busy schedules, it's nice being able to keep my daughter in lessons but not have to trek her to a school.

We're looking forward to a long relationship with Jane (hopefully)!

In Los Angeles, Fawn is the music and entertainment industry's coach known as the one who "gets the job done." Clients have included Grammy and Oscar winners as well as vocalists and actors from The Voice, American Idol, Disney, America's Got Talent, Nickelodeon, X-Factor an
d many others. She was operatically trained by Juilliard instructor Sylvia Bagley, trained as a jazz singer at world re-known Berklee College of Music, where she won several songwriting awards, and was R & B/Pop trained by Vocal Coach To The Stars, Seth Riggs. In 2010 she had a #6 Billboard hit dance song, which she wrote and sang and 2 top 10 hits in 2016. She has written, recorded and performed songs in several different languages for a variety of films, television shows, and commercials such as Nickelodeon's Hollywood Heights, The Natalee Holloway Story, Spike Lee Productions, Barbie, Ponds, Target, Ford, Mazda, Pontiac, The Guiding Light, The Young and The Restless. Fawn is a very fun, yet honest and straight-forward coach. She loves working with adults and children, and considers lessons a 'team effort to reach her students' goals. Being that music and the entertainment business are her career and life, she is current and relevant, yet has plenty of old school training to be well rounded and help students build a strong foundation. I was surprised that a coach with Fawn's background, successful track record and expertise was/is so reasonably priced! I was paying twice as much for my other vocal coach, without the massive improvements! Fawn is worth every penny. I am THRILLED to be working with Fawn this past year and can't wait to see what my future holds. I'm singing better now than I ever have, after 5 years with other coaches. Fawn is TOP NOTCH.

If your are looking to be the Best. Be trained by the BEST TEACHER! Frank Thomas has been my best vocal trainer for years. I couldn’t be the singer I am with out frank. I wouldn’t be in operas, solos and many musicals journeys with out his ways of training me. DON’T look anywhere else. This is the best and also he is fun!!! I remember when I first started with him. In 3 days. Yes 3 days with me working on my voice with him I heard a big dramatic operatic voice come out of me!!!! I’m telling you look no further. Trust me.
