I just had my third lesson today and I've loved the lessons so far. Heather has already helped me become a lot more confident with my upper register by helping me with my breathing techniques. The stretching and breathing at the beginning of the lessons made me a lot more comfortable from the start. I'd definitely recommend her :)

About Benjamin
I have extensively studied vocal performance for many years and continue to add to my own technique. I have a Master of Vocal Performance Degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. I currently work for a recording studio (Sound Summit Studios in Naperville IL) where I teach voice and help singers record their music in the studio. I have previously taught at The School of Rock in Indianapolis Indiana. I have administered vocal lessons to every voice type at all different levels. Several of my students have recored albums and are currently performing all over the U.S.

I have a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in art. After graduating college, I was a full-time high school biology teacher, volleyball coach, and director of the school musical. As a high school teacher, I learned first hand the kind of pressure and expectat
ions that are placed on students in order for them to succeed. In college, I was the head student researcher on a two-year lab project. I took several upper level science courses including: biochemistry, calculus, organic chemistry, calculus based physics, cell biology, anatomy, and physiology. I studied marine biology in the Virgin Islands and am CPR certified.

*** Lesson Details ***
Voice lessons with me are fun and effective. You can expect to hear improved technique from day one, eventually reaching your long term goals. I begin every lesson aligning the students voice through various vocal warm ups and exercises. We then work together to pick repertoire that will suit the singer'€™s voice and they will enjoy singing. During a lesson we will also cover performance presentation, acting, diction, rhythm, musicality, style, and interpretation.

During tutoring you can expect a personalized plan based on your goals and aspirations. Since every student is different you can be assured we will come up with a plan that is designed just for you. I am a laid back tutor but will be sure to get the most out of you after our time together. Most students see at least a one letter grade improvement. My main goal for every tutoring session is student learning and comprehension.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Piano, recording equipment, large collection of sheet music

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in helping students find their true singing voice.

Larry and his wife are so friendly and knowledgeable. I came away from my first lesson feeling much more confident in my ability and encouraged to develop it further. They critiqued my current ability without being mean or hurtful, and they gave me plenty of positive feedback on the things I'm doing right. Being self-taught will only get you so far. Having an actual instructor who can create a plan based on your specific needs is invaluable. I highly recommend.

About Morgan
Hello there! I'm excited to talk to you about my studio, and my personal journey through music to where I am today! I have been professionally studying music for the past 14 years! I started performing with the American Boychoir back in 2003. I then went on to study classical voice, primarily opera, at Walnut Hill School for the arts. I studied for 4 years there and learned so much about my own voice and how to teach others in masterclass settings and small lessons. I then obtained a degree in Vocal Performance major from Millikin University. I'm currently obtaining a M.M of Opera Performance at Wichita State University, and am loving every second of it. I now feel it is the right time to explore the teaching field. I've taken many seminar courses about the voice and how it progresses and am in the process of taking even more to expand my
knowledge base! I'm very open to new styles of singing, however my focus is classical training. I believe that with a good classical base you can explore many different types of singing, such as Jazz, and Musical Theater to name just a few. I'm very excited to be doing this and I can't wait to help you learn about your voice!

*** Lesson Details ***
Every lesson will be different because each student is different! I urge you to come explore your voice with me and learn what works best for you! I prefer to give hour voice lessons, because that gives me more time to work with you, however I will be just as happy to work in 30, or 45 minute slots as well!

*** Specialties ***
Classical! If you haven't seen it so far in my writing, I love opera. It's one of my favorite, all-encompassing, art forms and I am in a constant state of wonder when I watch it and perform it. My main specialty is just that classical base that every singer needs!

About Natalie
Hello, I'm Natalie, and I am a soprano. I enjoy performing as a soloist, chamber singer, and professional chorister in the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and Italy. I taught private voice lessons to middle school and high school students at an independent school, as well as free-lance lessons with adult singers, for my last three years in Chicago leading up to my move to Seattle recently. I also became a certified teacher in Illinois in music for K-12, including general music, band, orchestra, and chorus, which is what I used to do full time before deciding to balance my career more evenly between teaching and performing.

As a soloist, my recent performances include my Artist Diploma recital with Byron Shenkman (harpsichord) and Janet See (baroque flute), the Bach's Lunch concert series with Henry Lebedinsky (harpsichord, organ), and th
e Classical Music Nights at Cafe Racer concert series, all here in Seattle. Other significant solo performances include Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 (2015), Purcell’s Te Deum Laudamus (2014), Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer (2014), Fauré’s Requiem (2013), and Bach’s Magnificat (2012). As a chorister in 2013 I rocked it hard singing with the Rolling Stones. I received my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in 2010 and 2015, respectively. I am a recent graduate of the Artist Diploma in Early Music program at Cornish College of the Arts.

I am thankful I found this astrology teacher. She is amazing at showing a beginner student how planets, signs, and houses may interact and influence one another without using an overwhelming amount of words that you can't understand at beginner level. Her way of teaching is almost like a mini-reading where you can gain insight into both how astrology works and how your chart is influencing who you are/why you feel/do things. About Darren
If you are looking for lessons in the style of Breakin' or more commercially known as Breakdancing, then look no further! Darren will provide you with easy to follow, step by step lessons that allow ANYONE to learn how to dance whether you are just a beginner or an experienced dancer.

Darren R. Wong is a member of The Kinjaz from NBC's World of Dance and has been teaching, performing and choreographing in the Hip Hop community for 13 years. He has also been a part of world renowned Hip Hop organizations such as Culture Shock LA and Kaba Modern and spent 4 years on the faculty of the Claire Trevor School School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine as an adjunct lecturer of Breakin'. He has been sharing his experience and knowledge by teaching and training dancers of all skill levels, from college performing arts programs
, dance studios and online students from around the world, how to break with the knowledge that he has been fortunate enough to gain.

Darren's goal is to share what dance has given him in his life by providing in person or online dance courses for up and coming dancers who may be intimidated or self-conscious to start dancing or do not have access to experienced teachers or a dance studio with classes that interest them around them. His courses allow both new and experienced dancers from all over the world to have access to an experienced teacher who understands the ins and outs of how to break down movements to its simplest form, so a student can confidently learn a movement with correct technique, execute them to music and piece them together to create their own combinations whenever and wherever without having to step foot into a studio.

He aspires not only to help those in his local dance community, but also dance communities worldwide who may not have direct access to the techniques and knowledge that was shared with him.

Russ is a truly exceptional individual and very knowledgeable in all aspects of music theory, production and the industry. Not only is he an great at what he does, but he can also relate and impart that knowledge onto others - a skill that is surprisingly rare among high-caliber performers. The price per lesson seems higher than average at first glance, but I feel that the speed and amount of knowledge you acquire per dollar is actually lower than that of other instructors. Really.

He is also active in the industry, so the skills he teaches are current.

I take lessons with Russ online through Skype for EDM production in FL Studio. He is always punctual and promptly communicates if anything comes up. His teaching style carefully balances the need to provide guidance, while allowing freedom for individual artistic development. Every week, I start a composition or track analysis project that applies what I've learned in previous lessons, and I will submit it to Russ to discuss things that went well and things to work on in the future. In this way, you are not just being lectured, but you are actually learning to collaborate with an exceptional musician. I've personally experienced how constant application and feedback facilitates rapid learning.

He certainly is a serious musician, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a fun personality. He is engaging and inspirational.

I would, without reservation nor hesitation, highly recommend Russ to anyone who is interested in professional music production.

I really enjoy learning from Russ. He is good at relating things back to a way I can understand and improve. He is so versatile in his music knowledge that I can litterally throw anything his way that I'm curious about and he points me in the right direction. I've taken guitar, bass, vocal, and even production lessons from Russ. By far the most value I have ever got from an instructor. At first I was a little hesitant because of the higher price than others, but when you start noticing that you are learning stuff other teachers had no idea about, it makes sense to pay a little more for the quality you get out of his lessons. Thanks Russ for all the lessons over the last few years! Wouldn't be where I am today without ya!
