I have directed the following shows: Oklahoma, Godspell, Three Pennny Opera, Annie Get Your Gun, The Sound of Music and Two by Two.

About Thomas
From the time I began musical training at the age of 5, I knew that music making would always be an important part of my life. It became my muse and I followed it all around the world. I have performed in Japan, England, Scotland, Wales, Italy, France, Austria, and the United States. I know what makes a good musician and a good performer and I'm pleased to be able to share that with my students! MY STUDENTS WIN AUDITIONS! I taught in several of the States and in London. I am also a certified teacher in Missouri, Kansas and other States including England, Scotland and Wales. I hold a Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate from Ball State University, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Bridgeport. I have studied on fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival and University of London. While teaching in London I performed at many famous venues s
uch as Queen Elizabeth Hall, St. John’s Smith Square and Somerset House. I sing at Lyric Opera of Kansas City where I have appeared in over 90 productions. I am a laid back teacher with a great sense of humor. You will also learn a lot of music theory and music history from me! My lessons begin with some training in reading music (Music Theory) and I suggest that you purchase Alfred's Music Theory Volume One or Two depending on your level of understanding.

After refreshing your music reading and rhythm skills, we will listen to you sing and begin to vocalize. I will develop exercises just for you, to help you develop your voice, making it stronger and more flexible.

When you have warmed up your voice with vocal exercises, we will work together on the music you wish to learn. It could be a song, an aria, a Broadway or Opera aria, or a religious piece.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Large 30 foot living room with two pianos, music stands, keyboard, couches, seating area.
Mac computer, multiple cameras and great sound system.

*** Specialties ***

He may be good if you want to sing opera. I just didn't connect with him and his 'Style' of teaching. I was looking for more current music and that was where a very large disconnect was.

Right off the bat I could tell that my daughter will flourish with Dr. G. He is very encouraging while simultaneously effective at improving a weak nuance of her current skill set without making it feel like a negative critique. She is very excited to see what he can help her accomplish.

Just like a piano, flute or violin, your voice is an instrument.
The purpose of voice lessons is to help you develop a beautiful and dynamic singing voice and also to teach you to use your voice in a healthy age-appropriate way that will keep you singing for many years to come!
As your teacher, I want your lesson to be more than just singing through a few songs.
While what specifically happens during a voice lesson can vary greatly from student to student and from week to week, the overall structure of the lessons remains similar.
We will always start with some combination of warm-ups for your breath, body, and voice. Just as you wouldn't go running without first stretching and warming up your muscles, you don't want to start singing full songs without first getting your body and voice warmed up.
Warm-ups will also introduce you to new techniques for properly using your voice in a healthy and beautiful way.
After warm-ups, we will work on songs. Typically, you will sing through

About Denise
I hold a Master's in Voice Performance degree from University of New Orleans and Bachelor of Science degree in Voice Performance from State Music Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria.
In 2001, I toured with International European Opera Company which performed numerous times in Denmark, France, Italy and USA.
I currently perform and teach in the New Orleans area and love to share my knowledge and experience with my students. There is so much more to performance then just beautiful vocalizing.....

*** Lesson Details ***
My teaching is based on my own personal, classical training from Europe and North America. Whether it's opera, oratorio, musical theater or pop-style singing that is desired, I believe that classical technique is an essential source of proper singing that can be used to train singers of all genres.
Just like a piano, flute or vi
olin, your voice is an instrument.

During the lesson we will also work on expression and acting. A song isn't just pretty notes—it tells a story. If it's a song from a musical, there's a specific character that sings it. It's your job as a singer to tell the story and to make it fun and exciting for the audience.
While there's a lot of hard work that goes on during a lesson, voice lessons are lots of fun! As your teacher, I am here to encourage you, support you, and guide you in your vocal studies. I look forward to working with you soon!

I have studied this style of singing for over 20 years and I have taught Broadway and Musical singing as well as how to safely Belt for over 10 years. The technique is still from a classical background so all my students learn a variety of tools that will help them with this style as well as others. In all of my singing classes students learn technique, music theory, sight signing, and aural skills. They will also learn musicality and how to emotionally connect with their music.

I have been performing broadway style singing since I was 5 years old. Several of my students sing broadway.

About Cara

I am currently available to teach lessons at my studio and online.

My credentials and affiliations include a Bachelor's in Vocal Music from Lamar University, Hurrah Players, Governor's School for the Arts, Opera Breve, and VA Opera. I specialize in opera and musical theater. I also record and perform pop, roc
k, R&B, and jazz. Trained by some of the best artists and teachers in Virginia and Texas, I have gained extensive knowledge in vocal pedagogy that has allowed me to become versed in numerous styles and crossover genres. Contact me and we can discuss in more detail want you are looking for in a voice teacher, your vocal goals and experiences, as well as availability and location details. Cara is a very patient teacher and is great at making you feel comfortable singing. She has lots of experience as a both teacher and a performer and it shows. I'm a busy person and I don't always have time to practice as much as I should, many music teachers are agressively critical in such situations but Cara is very understanding and teaches at the pace you can manage.

She has the experience to recommend songs which really showcase your voice to the greatest degree but is also is willing to take input on what kind of music you prefer to sing, so you're never bored or out of your depth while practicing.

I'm very glad I found Cara and I can't recommend her services enough.

Broadway is a huge passion of mine, and being in NYC the resources are endless! However, good Broadway singing teachers have to have three things: a good understanding of the voice, a good understanding of the wide variety of musical theater styles of the past 60 years, and a good understanding of music! Come try out a lesson with me and learn what I have to share!

About Thomas
Hello, my name is T.J. and I'm currently finishing my bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance. I am a pianist and vocalist with a passion for music theory and vocal pedagogy. I've performed in a wide array of venues and styles and have experience as a music director and collaborative musician. I'm soon going to be pursuing my master's degree in choral conducting, but until then I have a desire to share the knowledge I have obtained in my years as a performer, musician, and director. I'm new to takelessons, though I'm not new to giving them, so say hi and ask some questions!

Hi guys! My name is Juan. I am a professional singer, musician, and music teacher.I have around 15 years of experience with various instruments from drums, guitar, voice, piano, and bass.

I spent three years as a touring and working musician in Argentina from 2012-2015, gigging 4-5 times per week, and that largely influenced my understanding of the necessary skills one must have in order to sing and perform comfortably!

I have studied private voice lessons on my own for nearly 10 years, and taught for around five years. When working with my students, I work through three things: breathing, technique, and range. My students range from first level beginning singers and musicians to already established and working musicians, just looking to better their breathing, technique, and expand their vocal range.

I enjoy making the lessons catered to your own musical desires, so we will be choosing songs that YOU like singing and performing! Furthermore, many of you are in bands or looking ...

Study singing with a WORKING Broadway singer/actor! I am a veteran of three original Broadway casts and two Broadway national tours, as well as dozens of regional productions across the country. Whether you're singing for your own enjoyment, doing high school or community theater, or auditioning for "Hamilton" in New York, I teach a healthy and versatile technique and will focus on your individual needs and goals! Singing should be expressive, dynamic, and FUN!

About George
I've been lucky enough to have achieved my dream of performing on Broadway and I love sharing what I've learned over my twenty year career. Singing is a natural expression of who we are, no matter our "talent" or skill level. It's not mysterious or scary if you know how to direct your energies and coordinate your thoughts, your breath, and your voice. It should always be fun, a true expression of your individuality. The greatest singers in the world don't sound like anyone else. They sound like THEMSELVES! I'll maximize the beauty, expression, and ease of your sound, whether you're a beginner or have a final callback for a Broadway show.
