I started playing violin at 3 years old. Wichita State University gave me the opportunity to get my Music Ed degree and start teaching lessons. I have taken over 500 lessons myself and played in many heavy gigging bands playing gigs almost every weekend. Improvising, Country, Jazz, and Rock are my specialties but I have played lots of Blues, Funk, and Latin jazz as well.

I will make a structured class, that will teach anyone how to read sheet music and how to turn notes into works of art. Many things will be repetitive however that is the only way to get better as time progresses, I will find ways to adapt these moments of repetition into a joy for learning and an appreciation for classical music. I also don't teach everyone the same I am very adaptable to each person and find ways for each individual to learn with joy and passion, on this journey to musical excellence.

About David

I have been playing violin for about 8 year, I have experience in playing for chamber orchestras, string quartets, and I was concert master for my high school orchestra. "There are many websites that will tell you instructors don't like teaching adults, but Elisa was a wonderful and patient instructor for all ages. She is able to adjust her approach to accommodate all age groups and skill levels. It's important to let Elisa know what your goals are so she can mold the lessons to help accomplish your goals. Elisa also arranges group rehearsals and recitals to broaden the students abilities in group settings (optional)."

"A unique and special experience! My daughter always looked forward to her sessions with Zeynep. She has been her mentor for the past two summers at the PALS program. Once after a lesson my daughter told me that she was surprised how much better she played the song after her session with Zeynep.
