To paraphrase Johann Sebastian Bach: "Playing the piano is easy...all you have to do is play the right notes...." Seriously, whether you're just beginning, or whether you've been studying piano for years, playing the piano is a lot more fun and rewarding than playing Pokémon GO...and it will keep you out of trouble and out of other peoples' backyards.

Hi! First, I will ask for your experience not only with piano but with music. We will work on posture, playing technique and reading. Because of my tutelage, my default material for beginners is Suzuki Book 1 which you can either purchase yourself or I can bring one for you. If you have other music material that you would like to work on, I am happy to use that instead. Then I will assign you homework which you will need to practice on your own in preparation for then next lesson.

About Charlotte

Hello! I began studying piano when I was 4 through the Suzuki method and started teaching when I moved to San Francisco to start school. I am dedicated to the Suzuki method and believe in it; in case you're unfamiliar with the Suzuki method, it's a way of approaching music that focuses on fundament

"Absolutely AMAZING! Great for the mind body and soul. Almost two years ago, at the young age of 65, I began taking Piano lessons with Kelly. Having a good teacher, coach, or instructor is so important to the success of any journey.
Kelly has the special qualities that every teacher must have to be effective.
Comfortable from the very first lesson, Kelly's enthusiasm, observations, and teaching skills make every lesson a unique experience that will motivate you
and keep you coming back for more.
Kelly is an excellent choice for anyone of "Any Age" wanting to experience the benefits and joy of studying music. Go for it!"
