About JingJing
Hi, I am a multi-international prize winner and a dedicated teacher. A piano performance graduate of Manhattan School of Music and University of Illinois, I have collaborated as soloist with major orchestras in China, USA, Europe and South America for fifteen years.

In the summer of 2006, I made my critically acclaimed European debut at the International Piano Festivals held in Spain and Canary Islands. In 2008, I was selected by famous New York critics David Dubal to perform in his lecture concert series, live broadcast on WQXR. From October of 2008 to July 2009, I won five international competition awards around globe, which led me to several concert tours in the following years. In August of 2009, I participated in the prestigious George Enescu International Music Festival in Bucharest. In May of 2010, I participated in the Gilmor
e Keyboard Festival Masterclass in Kalamazoo. That year also marked my recital and concerto debut in Panama and Colombia as well as in Krannert Center of Performing Arts in Illinois. In 2012, I made my solo recital debut at Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series in Chicago. Besides my frequent solo appearances,I have been an active collaborative chamber musician.I have performed a number of chamber music concerts with many instrumentalists around the world, highlighting a tour with a string quartet around the Netherlands in August, 2007, after having received two-week-long coaching with Menahem Pressler and Shumel Ashkenasi.

Along with my performing career, I have been teaching young piano students since I was eighteen. I have experience teaching all age-group in masterclasses and private lessons.

*** Lesson Details ***
I love teaching all age-group piano students! I find teaching is rewarding when a student is making progress, learning effectively and having fun with music. My teaching style and lesson focus will be unique for each individual person, and I'm very flexible in adapting to each student's needs and personality. My specialty is to discover and make each student find their own technique and sound on piano.

I am a friendly, easy-going and patient teacher, but I do have expectations. My ultimate goal is to help each student cultivate spiritual and physical well-being, along with the ability to recognize and develop personal and musical strengths, and to recognize and address respective weaknesses.

Magic piano teacher

I have known Jingjing personally through his performances for five years and recently my 6-year old son started having lessons with him. At first, my son wasn't really be able to sit tight for 10 minutes but after a few lessons, he could concentrate for 25-30 minutes. Jingjing's lessons are magical! And my son enjoys the lessons now. He already played a few folk songs and was encouraged to compose his own music at the piano. I really appreciate Jingjing's effort!

About Aaron
Berklee College of Music graduate, Aaron M., has been teaching students of all ages for over 12 years.

My boys, ages 7 & 5, started piano lessons with Aaron a year ago. He has taught them technique & theory all while using songs they boys love. There are days that the boys are not the most cooperative. Aaron is amazingly patient and persistent in getting the boys to do their lessons. I really appreciate and have learned from this patience when it comes to the nightly practicing. I am pleased that the boys have been working with a male teacher and I think it really helps them relate to the music and the lessons. If you are looking for a patient yet knowledgeable piano teacher, I would definitely recommend Aaron.

I emphasize developing a strong foundation in technique and ear training that will carry over to any musical genre, from world-renowned classical repertoire, to classic rock, jazz, and folk, to children's songs or your favorite radio hits from today.
I am dedicated to unlocking every student's musical potential, at any age or experience level, whether the student is just beginning to explore the keyboard or is preparing for an important audition. But more than experience and insight, I teach students to use music as a vehicle for creativity and expression, and develop a sense of true musicianship that goes beyond playing all the correct notes and the right time.

About Lilia
Hello, my name is Lilia and I can't wait to meet you! I have over a decade experience in teaching and offer private lessons in guitar, piano, and voice with a balance between theory, technique, and and ear training to help you play the songs you love to listen to.

Some background info on me:
I graduated from California Institute of the Arts in December 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance. I started teaching dance and gymnastics while attending Palomar college in San Diego in 2011, then transferred to CalArts in 2012 and worked as a college writing tutor and a part-time dance and music teacher. After graduating from CalArts in 2014, I began working full-time as a music teacher and professional performing artist in the greater Los Angeles area and perform in San Diego and the San Fransisco Bay Area as well. In addition t
o teaching, I play the role of as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and composer in my rock band, called Karkaza. We are currently working on recording our debut album and playing shows in the greater Los Angles area.

My favorite part of teaching is knowing that I helped the student have a better day and give them a rewarding activity to look forward to every week. Feel free to reach out any time, and I am excited to help you play the music you love!

It has been about 20 years since I last took piano lessons, but recently decided that it was something I wanted to get back into and Josh has been awesome! He’s been very accommodating and we’ve found a good combination of working on lesson-like material, tempo, and on pieces that I’ve wanted to learn how to play. He is very attentive and takes notes throughout the lesson so that we make sure that we always start back up at the same place each time. I’ve been very happy working with Josh over the past few months and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to play the piano again or for the first time!

David Wettrich has such a gift and passion when it comes to music. Not only does he work very hard to make each piece he plays the best it can be, but he has an innate sense of how to get it there. This is particularly true when it comes to playing by ear. He learns many pieces by ear and then makes them unique by how he interprets them when he plays. But the greatest thing I see about his musical skills is how he wants to be able to share the joy of music with others. And especially how he wants to play for the glory of God.

Learning piano or any instrument takes patience and is rewarding to see progress. I give the student time to learn and process their songs. I welcome questions and give professional feedback. I think of myself of more of a music coach to provide support through your musical journey.

About Angie
I started playing the piano when I was about 8 years old living in Salt Lake City Utah. My family would be watching TV or doing something else and I would go upstairs and play the piano instead. I practiced until I got to the level to play Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata original composition. I still love to play that one. I also loved to play a piece my grandfather gave me called Cordoba, by Isaac Albeniz.

I have played bass and keyboards in an original band giving a good knowledge of musical body language. From there I went on to teaching private and group lessons at Pianos n' Pianos studios. I use a few different method books. When deciding which one to use during a lesson, I assess the age of the student and what they can absorb. I started supplementing their lessons by using a write-it-out method, where students can take a few lin
es from a song they like and combine it with other songs. That way they can “compose” and be more invested in the music we are playing.

If you play a wrong note, I tell my students to just keep going and to not lose concentration. Wrong notes happen sometimes. If you make a wrong note in a performance, you can’t stop, you just have to roll with it and keep going. I also encourage singing with the piano that helps learns pitches and notes!

When teaching young children, I make sure to give them variety and plan lessons only about 30 minutes long. For adult learner, it is very good to play piano to keep the mind active and sharp. So really any age, 6 and up, is a good age!

I’m a graduate from both Mannes School of Music and Parsons School for Design, Piano Performance and Fashion Design major. I have performed all over the world in different cities concert halls, such as “Carnegie Hall”, “Palais Miller von Aichholz, Vienna, Austria”, Internatipnal Academy at Castelnuovo di Garfagnana in Italy, Sichuan Convervaroty of Music in China, and my own artistic organization in New York which is gathering more than 100 members and 50 experiences top musician in NYC who are graduates from Juilliard, Manhattan and Mannes School of Music in multiple majors, as well as illustrators, fashion designers, photographers and other young artists and audiences.

I can provide my students the best opportunities to perform monthly in front of other professional musicians and artists, get the most useful inspirations on not only the music performance, but also the musical comprehension and imaginations.

About Jinglin
I'm a graduate from both the Mannes College for Music in Piano Performance, and Parsons School for Design for Fashion Design.

Other than the various awards I have won, I am the founder of a popular music & artistic organization in New York City, which aims to provide top young musicians and artists from top music schools, such as Juiliard, Manhattan and Mannes, to share ideas with each other and to inspire audiences to play / show something as well.

I myself as an active pianist, has performed all over the world -
Carnegie Hall in New York City, Palais Miller von Aichholz in Vienna, Concerts in Dresden and Berlin, International Academy of Music in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana in Italy, a Second Class Award from the 16th Hong Kong - Asian Piano Competition in China and so forth.

As a passionate artist, I do not limit my imaginat
ion and creativity as there are unlimited types of languages, formats of art, ways of self-expressions and no one speaks exactly the same to another. For instance, Schoenberg designed his playing cards in private and I went to Parsons and designed my fashion garments on the back of Mannes, eventually I got both my piano concert and my fashion show done together - they were soon exposed by editors from more than ten mainstream medias in China.

As a reliable piano educator, I would teach not only the piano playing techniques and music theory, but also encourages my students to explore their imaginations and self expressions. I am the teacher you should probably expect to bring you / your child to various piano concerts and competitions, but probably not to the level examinations. My goal in education is to inspire students to keep the classical music playing, to be a creative artist and a unique treasure in the world.

Teaching style: Strict, patient, effective and could be a little fun.
Topics: Basic Music Theory, Piano playing techniques and performing tips; Music analysis and "language translations”; a little about life.
