Explaining and experiencing Music Theory in areas not used in the classroom, based on the students learning styles.
Some of the past events students participated in, included a Football Event during the Super Bowl, a Summer and Winter Olympic Event and few practice challenges, where students had to complete a series of Music Theory Events to advocate for their success. All of the students did very well completing the events needed and learned new techniques in creative ways.

We have had a great experience with Andrew teaching our daughter piano. He works great with kids and has a wide range of teachable skills. He organizes fun events for his students that showcase their hard work. I am really pleased with our decision to enroll our daughter in his program, she has a lot of fun and has learned a lot in a short amount of time.

I can't choose a subject because Andrew teaches so many different things in his piano lessons that I would be doing him a disservice if I chose just one.

As a former piano lessons taker myself, I must admit that I had some lofty expectations for my daughter's piano lessons. On the first day of lessons for her, I knew that we were in great hands. Andrew has exceeded my expectations with every turn. And a fun and lighthearted way, and through games, activities, and fingers on the piano , Andrew helps the young learner learn the most important thing about music: it's fun! Theory is fun, composition is fun, ear training is fun, performance is fun. As a musician myself, I'd almost forgot. Andrew has helped me to remember, and is instilling these values in my daughter.

Thank you Andrew for being so awesome.

When we study music theory, we will go through music that you personally enjoy and listen to and we will analyze the melody, harmonic function, rhythm, and more. I will explain what the writer/composer was intending and why they chose the musical ideas that they did. I will also teach you all the terms that are used in Tonal Harmony and test you on them to make sure you have a great understanding of music theory!

Learn how music works! Keys, scales, modes, chords, etc.
I'll show you how to get specific feels, moods and emotions.

We start basic and go from there until you have a real working knowledge that can be used with any instrument or style of play. The studies that I use are a combination of taking songwriting structures and breaking them down so that they make sense to anyone. I teach chord progressions as well as scales and sometimes go a bit off the deep end when I feel students are ready.

Kyle K has a unique teaching style. His Ableton Live knowledge has no bounds. In just five lessons he talked me through most of my usual brain-fog to help me understand, in the simplest terms, how to use Live to record music and use Midi to enhance your work. Super, Super man, Kyle is. I highly recommend Kyle if you need a teacher. John G.

"I play in a rock band that wanted to add some Sinatra type jazz songs to our repertoire. I was tasked to play bass with which I had very little experience. I decided to take some lessons with Gary to learn a little jazz theory and technique. He was a wonderful teacher. He focused in on exactly what I needed quickly and pointed me toward resources that I could use to improve. Despite my limited abilities, Gary was always patient and displayed good humor. When I needed him to write a bass line for me quickly so that I could take it on vacation, he made the time to make sure that I had what I needed. I enjoyed our lessons and recommend him highly. Gary is a teacher who truly cares about his students."

"I had the opportunity last week to take a piano lesson from Richard. Growing up I took piano lessons, but never really practiced. I did the bare-minimum to get by, so that my teacher wouldn't be upset with me. After I stopped taking piano lessons, I lost a lot of my ability to play. I went to Richard hoping that he could help me grasp the basics again including: chords, major and minor positions, chord inversions, and a little about composing my own music. First off, Richard didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing how to play. He patiently explained concepts to me, and then showed me through examples. Then he let me practice and offered encouragement as I played. He also did a great job simplifying the teaching. It was very easy for me to follow and understand what he was teaching. I would highly recommend Richard to anyone who wants to either learn or improve their piano skills."

"Tomoko is a fantastic tutor. I had a lot of trouble understanding music theory because it had been a topic I hadn't seen before. She was able to explain things to me in a very clear and easy way. She was also able to help me with ear training lessons which was also surprisingly easy, considering it was a topic I felt I had a lot of trouble with at the time. She's one of the best, no doubt.

Also, if you happen to get piano lessons from her, I'm sure you'll get more than your money's worth. She's an amazing jazz, classical, and overall pianist."

I'm taking music theory and composition lessons from Daniel to supplement what I already know from composing by ear. "Well, I can say that when we met 24 years ago, I've never seen anyone playing the bass guitar as good as he did, I still remember him playing that beautiful six string bass guitar along with a drummer... I was just trying to catch up with those two ... it was just rehearsal and they didn't need a me as keyboard player , just the slap bass solo was enough for me to step down and watch, I learned a lot just by listening to him. He was a very patient teacher and his musical knowledge was amazing,"
