Si was invited by The Juilliard School Pre-College Division to study abroad under Shirley Givens at the age of 12. At the age of 15, Si was invited to have her debut with the Dalian Phil harmonic orch
estra with an audience of over 2000 audience. After received her Bachelor degree at Mannes Music school She was invited back to The Juilliard School to pursue her Master’s degree with a tiny acceptance rate of 6% under Sally Thomas who was a very well known respected faculty at The Juilliard School for over 50 years. Si was always interested in teaching which was inspire by her parents who were both Music Professors. Her initially teaching experience was at the age of 14, She continued teaching and coaching throughout her college years. Si’s talent for teaching was recognized by her teacher at The Juilliard School, Sally Thomas who offered Si a teaching position at the Meadowmount School of Music as her teaching assistant where it was a huge success in her teaching career.
