"My 6 year old daughter took her first piano lesson at our neighborhood music store. The store owner told me that the piano teacher makes all the differenc
e in the child's tendency to like the instrument and stick with the lessons. As it turned out, after only 3 lessons with the teacher at this music studio, my daughter told me that she did not like piano and was not learning anything. I told her that if we try another teacher and she still does not like piano, we can be done with it.
We found Joan, and after the first lesson with Joan, my daughter wanted more. She wanted to play piano at home, she wanted to do well, she enjoyed the music she made. Joan is a magician with music and children!
Going through this experience, I can say that Joan is an incredible music teacher, understands children and is able to draw that natural talent and desire out of them. We feel incredibly blessed to have found Joan and look forward to the next steps in our piano learning journey with her."

"I have spent one year locking myself up in my room, every day for a few hours at a time, stumbling my way to learning the guitar. On my own, I have made i
t far enough to be familiar with a repertoire of chords, able to learn songs and even develop the mindset for habit forming. But after one year I felt my own limits and decided to discard my ego and find a teacher.
From his profile here I could tell that Juan was not only a skilled musician, but a keen and pensive instructor. After a single session Juan was able to properly asses my abilities and my shortcomings and tailor-designed an approach that matches my personal and musical nature. He uses my strong affinity for technique and uses that to discourage my hesitancy toward theory. He has a comfortable and approachable presence where mistakes and flaws are encouraged as learning footstools. With humble discipline he pushes me to -want- to be better.
With Juan I am absolutely confident in not merely becoming an apt guitarist, but a genuine musician."

"After struggling to find a local cello teacher for my 7th grade son, I decided to take a chance and have him try an online lesson with Heather. I am so d
elighted with the results! Heather is a fabulous teacher! My son not only improved after the very first lesson, he began to feel more confident in his ability to play. Heather is a knowledgeable instructor who is enthusiastic, patient, encouraging, and very kind. I highly recommend Heather! Also, I love the efficiency of lessons via Skype . . . . no driving anywhere, I can pop in/out to listen and watch, and lessons can easily fit into a busy schedule with multiple children. Very pleased!"

"My 8.5 y/o son has only been with with David for a few lessons thus far and the fact that he wants to continue, even lengthen his lesson says a whole lot.
David is a very patient teacher. He is always open to any questions in person or via email/text. He appears very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend using David as a music instructor!"

Doreene is a wonderful teacher. She has helped me so much. At first I was so nervous, but she made me feel so comfortable. We have so much fun (
which is what singing should be about), while at the same time my voice has really developed. I'm so glad that started taking lessons and wished I hadn't waited so long! Thanks Doreene, you are the best!!"

"Tania is exactly what I was looking for in a voice instructor. When she listens to me sing, she knows exactly what I need to concentrate on and explains s
o well how to achieve it. I'm inspired every day when I hear the positive changes in my voice while practicing. I've had other voice instructors throughout the years but never quite had the same connect. Sometimes you just get lucky."

"Miriam-Rose is one of the best teachers I know. I am also an experienced teacher and have studied violin pedagogy with professors at the Peabody Conservat
ory in Baltimore and at the Jacobs' School of Music at Indiana University, and I can highly recommend Miriam-Rose as someone who's teaching methods and approach are on par with the standards of these prestigious institutions. Her experience with kids and her Scottish Fiddling make learning with her lots of fun. Great instructor, you can't go wrong!"

I have worked with vocal coaches since I was a kid and for the first time when working with Danny within the first lessons, I have already improved my range and control. Also just the basic use of parts of my voice that didn't even know existed. I am also learning how to use my mix and I am excited as it comes in handy in singing country pop.

Danny V is the best coach I have had in a long time. Right on our first meet, we had a talk of my long and short term goals. Danny was able to customize a lesson plan that helped me prepare from being a background vocalist to a front liner. Also helped me with how to use and hold my microphone.

Danny V is everything you could want as a vocal instructor.
I came to Danny about 3 years ago wanting to take lessons. I had a very light classical type voice but I wanted more. Danny worked with me and helped me build my voice up to be strong, powerful yet controlled. I can do everything and more that I had only dreamed of doing with my voice. Not only that but I am STILL improving. Danny helped me believe in myself and that I could achieve the voice I wanted, now I'm here and I couldn't be happier or more proud of my voice! I have and still do recommend Danny to other singers he is the best you can get!

Julian is an outstanding instructor. He has an amazing teaching ability, offering a great deal of knowledge and patience for people of all levels. I am really glad to have found a way to really learn what playing bass is all about. Thanks to Julian, I feel like I am able to hold my own if I ever try to look for a band to play with. I now feel like I can play and sound good doing it. Highly recommend!!

I started out with absolutely no musical training at all. The first few sessions we spent on learning the basics of how to hold the instrument properly. Julian then asked me why I wanted to learn so that he could find the right method for me. Its been about 4 years and I feel I keep getting better. I have learned more than I ever thought id be able to. I even played live in front of fans before a stars game at the AT&T Center. Julian is a great instructor and will tailor your sessions based on what you want to learn, all the while giving you the proper tools to grow on your own and find your own sound.

The truth is you can utilize the classical technique in any genre of music. Trust me it will make a difference in your singing. I would be happy to discuss my methods in more detail. Thank you.

Learning piano was a wonderful experience. I not only got to learn to play, but I also learned about the details of playing the piano. Not only for fun on a day to day basis, but also on a more serious note like playing at performance. I was amazed at how quickly I picked up the piano with Dustin's guidance. With his guidance, I discovered that playing the piano was fun and he made it easy to learn. I would recommend Dustin as a piano teacher to anyone.

We are a military family so have had several teachers. Dustin is a fantastic find! Our son looks forward to his weekly lesson.

I had always heard that finding the right piano teacher for your child was important, I never really understood that until my son began working with Mr. Dustin S. for piano lessons. My 10 yr. old had other piano teachers in the past that really didn't seem to listen or take time to understand our son's needs which in effect, seemed to cause my son to steadily lose interest in wanting to learn piano. Mr. Dustin S. took the time to listen to our past experiences, taking notes (literally) on what were the past concerns and future goals. He thoughtfully planned and adjusted his lessons to keep my son interested in practicing piano as well as in learning to read music. Mr. Dustin S. is very knowledgeable, and truly takes time to know his students.

Music Theory ·
I recently began taking lessons with Michael on understanding more about music theory with the objective of becoming a better guitarist and song writer. Not only the knowledge I have gained, but the overall improvement of my musicianship in such a short amount of time has greatly surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend Michael to any musician looking to take their craft to the next level.

Michael has been wonderful. He seems very young to this old woman, but his maturity is remarkable. I have never had a teacher handle 'Thias the way Michael does. Somehow he seems to always be a step ahead of his young student and has a distinct ability to keep 'Thias focused on the lesson. Mathias has learned so much in the last four weeks, his playing sounds much more mature and organized and he is enraptured with the music he is making. I have always had to keep an eye on the lesson to make sure that Mathias was engaged. Somehow I do not feel the need to do that anymore. I guess I can say that Michael has given me the chance to relax and "enjoy the music". Thank you, Michael, You are making my dream and Mathias's dream come true.
