About Raymond (Remi)

I completed musical studies at the Conservatory of Music of San Juan, Puerto Rico and graduated MAGNA CUM LAUDE, with Majors in Musical Education and as a Performing Artist.
I am a qualified bilingual Music Instructor.
I have performed as a guitarist with several orchestras, musical groups, bands and as classical guitar soloist I have given numerous recitals and concerts.
I have worked as a Music Educator at the Social & Pedagogic Academic Institutes teaching pedagogic & didactic principles to teachers and at the same time I have been teaching classical and popular guitar at all levels and
ages at several other music schools.
I wrote a guitar method "MELODIC GUITAR" for beginners from 7 years of age and up, and this method has been translated from Papiamentu into the English and Spanish languages.
Although my music background is classical, I play and teach popular music, which I love.
Just to mention a few guitarists who appeal to me: Carlos Santana, George Benson, Paco de Lucia, Julian Bream.
I also teach electrical and acoustic guitar, bass-guitar, piano/keyboard, ukulele, Venezuelan & PR cuatro, songwriting and music theory.
Music is an International language; a way to express inner feelings!
And Teaching it, is my passion!

Fran G.

Jacksonville, FL

The development of the piano lessons will depend on the level, goals, needs and available time of study of each student. Starting with board exercises that will provide independence and strengthen the fingers of both hands, studying at the same time the rhythmic figures, elements and symbols of a score.
I propose a flexible program to keep students excited and motivated, the idea is to make a diverse and entertaining class, although it is important to consider that the piano is a very rich instrument (rhythmic, harmonic and melodic instrument), which gives us many possibilities, but that requires constant practice to achieve a beautiful sound.

My first lesson with Frederick was great. I'm an intermediate player and he started me off with good discipline exercises. He is a doubler on clarinet and flute and that is what I want to do. I think he'll be a good coach.

She was very friendly, was knowledgable and informative. My son was able to pick up where he left off after 3 months or more; just moved here and had to wait for his piano to come....loved how she connected with him, and discover his abilities and what he needs to work on. Very excited for my son for his upcoming lessons with her.
