About Donna

Yes, my resume is a bit quirky, not many people go from a career in computer programming to astrology but in essence what I've done is to take things I'm good at and turn them into a career I'm passionate about. My varied background might make me the right teacher for you. I love teaching and l

Great communicator. I was hesitant about signing up for ‘online’ lessons; however, I was able to walk through the steps guided by a very patient teacher. Donna is fantastic, and I look forward to our next class. I could've easily spent the entire day online with her.

Vinny has given lessons to my son for 3 years in the Chicagoland area. He started in 7th grade. My son made the highest level of Wind Ensemble when entering high school as a freshman. I highly recommend Vinny. Vinny works on your child's school music and he also gives a lesson that you need to accomplish. Vinny is a likable person, great with kids, he has this "cool" vibe to him that makes you smile and the kids relate to him very well. I suggest you try him out!

Mya is AWESOME! My 10 year old daughter is loving the lessons she has been taking it for a month now and has learned so much. I have purchased her own machine so now she is being taught with her own machine. I have signed up for more lessons, definitely worth the money.
Delma
Mya is an awesome instructor! She helped my mom sew a quilt for her great-granddaughter and then wanted to sew another for her new great-grandson but was overwhelmed and unsure how to get started. Mya was nice enough to come over and guide her through the completion. Mya is intuitive and understands right away how to explain the different quilting techniques and sewing machine use. This has brought my mother immense pleasure especially since her limited mobility and pandemic have limited her activities greatly. I will be forever grateful.

She was very patient, professional, and knew what she was doing.

Hasaan is a very patient teacher--which is definitely a requirement for online sewing/pattern making lessons. We worked on my bodice sloper, and he was able to quickly identify the fitting issues I had. He shares best practices, tips, and terminology all throughout the lesson so that you learn as much as possible. Will continue with him.
Lauren Stein
I had a tight time schedule to finish a summer project before I went in for surgery and Hasaan was very sensitive to that. He was able to teach me new skills in pattern making and cutting that made the process easier/ more accurate as well as sewing techniques. I would say my experience with him was very positive and he was always cheerful and and in a great mood and helped me out a lot with my project. I would definitely recommend using him for lessons.
Betty L.
Hassan was a pleasure, he was patient and was able to teach my daughter was she wanted to learn. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a teacher in this field.

I am an origami artist and origami teacher with more than 20 years experience of teaching origami to children, adults and seniors. I live in NYC. I have been teaching origami in private and public schools as well as community centers, museums and senior centers. I work well with special needs children and adults. I use paper and materials you can find in your own home, like printing paper, napkins, dollar bills or business cards. Origami is not just another art or craft form. It is a way of acquiring multitude of skills, in a fun way . Origami engages students in learning basic math concepts like shape, size and number. In the process they learn patience and concentration sequencing and problem solving. Most importantly, people of all ages gain self esteem as they succeed in finishing a model and take pride of their work. They also find that the models they fold can serve them for practical purposes; All kind of boxes to store crayons, staples, A dish to put candies, a hand ...

Haggit was great. We had a fun time and learned some along the way. Thank you Haggit :)

Haggit was an excellent instructor who gave instructions that were easy to understand for students at all levels. She came to our class well prepared with several different models for us to make and had a great set-up so we could easily see how to make the folds. We really enjoyed our lesson with her and are excited to use our new origami skills!
Marie Kasprzyk
Haggit was very flexible when scheduling the day and time to host a group origami event. We hosted the event for an organization at Texas A&M. She was very flexible to provide the information needed for us to provide the correct materials, zoom link, etc to the participants. Due to COVID the event had to be remote and the participants were not able to participate in the same location. The origami project that we hosted was really fun and she ensured to take her time showing the types of folds so that everyone was able to easily follow along. She provided additional information about origami such as books that we could study to become really good at origami.
