You will learn the fundamentals of office to advanced skills to help you succeed even further in school and work.
You might not always notice it, but music is all around—from the stereo in your car to the music piped in at department stores. And you also may not be aware that music has a wide array of impacts on your health: Studies show that music has a strong effect on your mood levels and emotions, and also on how you think and your general intelligence. The music you listen to can have a profound effect on your test scores and your ability to quickly process information. And if you’ve ever played an instrument, studies show that you’re already ahead of the curve. Playing an instrument is a great way to test out your creative thinking and push your brain to process information in a new way. Whether you’re listening or playing, a little music can go a long way. I am here to help you realize not only your playing potential, but guide you into not ju
st becoming a guitar player, piano player, but a musician. I am able to teach Piano, Guitar, Music recording from software/hardware to MIDI, including Sonar, Reason, and related software.
I have studied music at California State University San Bernardino, where I minored in music and learned the immense possibilities of the music field. Music is part of my everyday life, and its an honor to know I can play music but also create it. My goal is to show you as the student how to realize that dream.
*** Lesson Details *** I am a very friendly, fun and patient instructor. I believe that when you take any type of music lesson, it should be to have fun. With fun, passion, and dedication, sky is the limit. The curriculum I like to use are the most simplified forms to teach an instrument. It's about playing smarter, not harder. I do offer recording sessions to my students to track their progress, and give you a copy to keep as memorabilia.
*** Studio Equipment *** Bergman Upright Piano. Fender Acoustic/ Gibson Electric. Marshall Amps. Digital and analog Recording Station.
*** Specialties *** I have in-depth knowledge of classical works, but my emphasis is in modern rock/ Alternative/ Pop. I like teaching the songs you like to hear from The Beatles to Green Day! I love all music genres and if I have not heard of the song you want to play I will learn it so that I can teach you!
Paul is a great and fun guy with exceptional musician knowledge across multiple platforms. The lessons provided me with the basics I needed to basically perform as a DJ. There is a lot to learn & he's the guy that got me started. I highly recommend him as a teacher.

I've been sewing since I was 13. I've sewn things over the years such as dresses, pajamas. I do a lot of tailoring things too. I just love to sew, and I love teaching people to sew too!
The way that I teach is to help the student develop their own style. I have students work on their own individual projects that they pick out while asking me questions that they might have while they are doing their project.
However, if they would like there is an option for me to develop lessons for the student on certain sewing techniques that the student could learn. Although, be aware that learning how to sew takes time and that all the techniques of sewing cannot be done all at once.
Then, there is the third option that the lesson could be a mix of the student doing what they want (choosing their own project) and learning some pre-designed
My first goal is to give my students all of the tools they need to feel confident from the very first lesson. I would like for all of my students within the first lesson to finish either of two basic projects (pajama pants or a draw string bag).
My lessons are not like videos you may find online. Meaning projects will take longer than you think they will. I will work with you to properly construct a quality finished project without too many frustrations and in a timely manner. I recommend buying lessons in 90 minute packages, since sewing always takes longer than expected.

I have a unique lesson plan that can teach you to become proficient with Microsoft Excel in just a few hours. Most of my students learn the basics of Microsoft Excel in just two or three hours and are amazed by just how proficient they have become in such a short amount of time. Aleksander helped my son prepare for Regents Exams in Math (Algebra, Geometry and Trig.), English and SAT. The results were spectacular. He graduated high school with 98% average in Math and English. He scored above 1500 on the SAT and was accepted into a school of his choice with a scholarship. Aleksander guided us through with college application process, helped fill out FAFSA, and helped my son select a major he is happy with. Great instructor! Great person!

Alex helped me with my College English/Writing and Accounting courses. His lessons were vigorous, but fun and very engaging. Thanks to him my grade went from C to A.
I was so happy with the progress that I asked him to tutor my niece in high school math. Again, he surpassed all expectations. She ended up having one of the highest grades in her class.
Hi! I'm a tutor specialized in formulas and navigation in Excel. If you're currently taking an Excel course, I can guide you through that as well.
I'll explain in plain English, how to use formulas as vlookup, how to build pivot tables, how to analyze data, and how to make spreadsheets look relatively readable.
Hi! I'm a statistics/Excel tutor with experience in AP, undergrad, MBA, and calc-based statistics. I know statistics can be unintuitive, and I'll work with you to reach your goals. I'll explain concepts and questions in coursework using relevant examples and plain English.
I'm available for long term tutoring as well as immediate assistance. I'm also used to teaching/drawing diagrams on online platforms, and can guide you through the process.
I’m a graduate from Cornell University and a former Accenture statistical analytics consultant. I received my Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Operations Research.
While at Accenture, I’ve taught clients introductory statistics to give them the tools to understand business data. I enjoy teaching Math, Statistics, and general digital marketing/statistics. I also have experien
ce in statistical data mining and script programming using R.
I’m passionate about making sure my students are equipped with a deeper understanding of seemingly difficult topics. I like using a combination of visuals and situations relatable to a students’ interests. In my experience, abstract topics like Statistics tend to be easier to understand when people visualize a concept on paper or online.
In my spare time, I follow the NBA and NFL. I’m also a semi-professional hip hop dancer.
I have mentored over 50 students in 20+ different subjects. I have experience with grades 4th to 12th, undergraduates, graduate students, and industry professionals.
I guarantee improvement in your understanding of the material starting from our first lesson together. I am committed to my students' success!
My name is Gerardo M. I studied Mechanical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. I am a STEM-focused tutor that specializes in teaching all levels of math (AP included), science, academic test prep, and college level classes. One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my ability to communicate with my students. I identify areas that need improvement and figure out where the fundamental disconnect between the material and my student's understanding of it exists. In addition to tutoring, I have 7 years of experience in technology startups in the semiconductors and consumer electronics industries.
My philosophy is to teach my students to learn by intuition and logic rather than memorization. I emphasize teaching the fundamentals to build up a strong foundation of understanding. I believe this approach produces superior l
ong-term learning and enables my students to continue succeeding later in life.
Gerardo definitely knows a lot about Microsoft Excel. He taught me how to use pivot tables, create histograms, produce graphs of data, and he also helped me learn a few keyboard short-cuts to do my work more efficiently. Gerardo is a patient and effective tutor and I highly recommend him!

Gerardo helped me out in Calculus because I was truly struggling. I had a tough professor and I had not taken a math course in a couple of years. He did a great job at tutoring me through webcam and he was really patient with me. I would definitely recommend!

Gerardo helped me prepare for my AP Calculus AB test. I had trouble understanding certain concepts such as related rates and using integration to find volumes. He explained problems very clearly by going step-by-step, and making sure I understood the process every step of the way. I highly recommend Gerardo if you are looking for a math tutor.
I used Excel since 2012! I used it for University courses. I used it for work at TD Bank. I used it for work at Ministry of Finance. I used it for more work at a small solar panel company and i use it now as part of running my own business. I know it very well! And i tough it to many people i worked with.
(by the way, i'm writing this assuming addressing the person that i will work with, if you're a parent or somebody else reading this, please imagine you were the one that needs this service).
So in the previous section i think i described myself pretty thoroughly. I will use this section to let you know what you can expect from me, so you have a better idea of who i am and what i can do for you.
I will focus on YOUR needs
What does that mean? I remember when i was learning English and they were teaching me a lot of irrelevant stuff. I learned things like: " Sally likes apples and Bob likes cakes" It's all nice, but what i really wanted to know was what to say to a teacher when i want to go to the washroom. But nobody ever asked me what i want to learn, they just told me what i should learn. And that's fine, there is a plac
e for practicing things like "Sally likes apples", but if you have an area where you want to improve in. Tell me and we'll practice. We can roleplay! I will ask you questions and you will try to answer as best you can and i will correct you. I will talk with you in English like i would talk to a friend (like my friend did to me when i was learning English) and you will pick it up much faster! I will go as slow or as fast as you can handle. You can tell me about your day. Or ask questions. We will try a few things and find what works for you!
I am a fan of compound learning.
What does that mean? Here is an example! We can learn what the words: apple. Juice. I. Want. are individually. ORRRR we can learn a sentence of: I want apple juice. Instead of trying to make your brain remember 4 objects separately, you will only have to remember 1 object that contains all of those smaller objects. That speeds up learning a lot. Of course, it depends on your level. And we will start with the very basic stuff. But as soon as you get the basics, we will move on to this. And before you know it, you will start speaking in complete sentences. And once you speak, you will read, write and be on your way to think in English.
I will be patient with you!
I will go at the speed that you can handle. There will be homework too!
Igor would do great with anyone! I am a friend of his grandma(my mother is in the same ESL class as she is) and he is so patient with her! I saw the progress she made myself in just a few short months! He is friendly, really nice and i'm sure will do great!
"Joanne is a patient, knowledgeable teacher. She quickly assessed my level of knowledge and we dove right in. By the end of the lessons we had moved throu
gh what I had wanted to learn and dipped into more advance applications. The practice exercises she sent were well formated. When I had a question she responded promptly and thoroughly. I definitely recommend her."
"My Excel lesson with Liz was custom-tailored to my requests and I found our time well spent and informative. I was able to ask questions, explore specifi
c areas and came away with a better knowledge of how to accomplish my goals in Excel. The TakeLessons experience was a great value!"
"Jason has been a great tutor. I expected the things I wanted to learn to take much longer than they have. In fact we have 1 more lesson to touch up some t
hings but learning the things I needed to only took 2 lessons. Great Tutor!!!"
"on-time, efficient and very helpful. I would recommend Daniel."
"Erol is very patient and a good teacher. I knew very little about excel but I feel the lessons are going well and it's not as hard as I thought it woul
"She is an excellent teacher who knew what I needed (thanks to her survey questions earlier sent to me) so much so that I got what I wanted in the hours sc
heduled for my lessons."
"It's difficult to even express how grateful I am for the time I spent with Christopher- the irony being that, with his help, my words could undoubtedly be
more confident and precise. Over 6 weeks, Christopher managed to teach me a subject that was previously- despite alternate intervention and endless review- impenetrable. Patient, kind, and brilliant, I can think of no one more qualified for teaching another human being. Truly blessed to have come across this profile, as are you."
"Joanne goes above and beyond in helping me with my lessons. She is very patient with me and is a excellent teacher"
"Erol was helpful and knowledgable on the concepts I needed to learn. I wanted to start classes earlier than he had for availability but he made it work an
d did 3 consecutive days like I wanted. There wasn't a rush on time and he was very flexible in order to make sure I understood the base concepts I needed, which were a few skills related to marketing reporting. Thanks Erol!"
