Singing is my specialty. As the vocalist for Sony Records band Atom Smash I toured for over 1000 shows and have found tricks to keep your voice up to par while singing aggressively. Most coaches focus on classical methods that would'nt stand up to the modern market of music. Using my methods and coaching your voice will be healthier, more stylized, and you will have the stamina to play 200 shows per year like I have. Im a passionate coach that takes my students under my wing.

I'm an experienced touring lead singer/musician in an internationally recognized rock band called Atom Smash. I've had several top 40 singles and a #1 Sirius/XM single. I write for both WWE & CBS. My mentor is Greg Drew, vocal coach to the stars (Avril Lavigne, Lenny Kravitz, etc.) My students have gone on to be finalists on Amercian Idol, the Voice and have signed record deals. Now enough about me and let’s get your passion for music rolling. I work with beginner to advanced vocalists and also have a fun lesson plans for kids as well. All ages and levels welcome. Lets take you to the next level!

I've had 2 lessons so far and I couldn't be happier. I'm been playing for a long time but I haven't really learned how to play. Sergio teaches at a nice speed and the information is really relevant to improving my ability to navigate the fretboard. I'm actually excited about playing again. Thanks Sergio.

I teach students at all levels. I can take a beginner and start them off on the right foot or help an advanced singer take their craft to the next level. Every lesson is catered to the student's individual needs, but usually consist of vocal warmups, performance exercises and working on a variety of songs. Depending on the student's interests and needs, I can also help with songwriting and recording technique (i.e. how to use ProTools, etc).

About Felice
Hi, there! My name is Felice and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2009 and have loved helping my students find their voice, improve their technique, and learn to sing songs they love. I went to American River College and earned a degree in Commercial Music with a focus on Classical/Jazz voice and audio engineering in 2004. I'm a very patient and caring person and my teaching style is engaging, hands-on, and fun. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

Here's my full bio if you'd like to learn more about my background...

Felice is a singer, songwriter, vocal producer, vocal coach and recording engineer and has been working in the music industry in these roles for the past 15 years. After studying classical and jazz voice and earning an Associates Degree in Commercial Music with a focus on
Audio Engineering at American River College, she worked as an engineer at the world-renowned Banff Centre in Canada and the world-class Studio At The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada. While working at The Palms, Felice was so inspired by all of the amazing talent that came through those doors every day including the likes of Michael Jackson, Pink, Timbaland, Maroon 5, Prince, Celine Dion and many more legends in music.

Since moving to Los Angeles, she has worked in the studio with such artists as Nick Cannon, Ashanti, B2K, Colleen Fitzpatrick (Vitamin C), Poet NameLife (Black Eyed Peas producer and songwriter), Cody Longo (star of “Hollywood Heights”) and Paige Thomas (finalist from X-Factor) and many more. Felice has had the honor of winning the Producer's Choice Award for Recording Artist of the Year at the 21st Los Angeles Music Awards in 2011. Over the past couple of years she has been in demand to perform on the festival circuit at the Burbank International Film Festival, ITSA Film Festival and the Palm Springs Pride Festival, as well as special events like the Los Angeles VH1 Save The Music Foundation Young Benefactors Benefit. She performs regularly at some of the most iconic venues in Los Angeles including House of Blues, The Viper Room, Whisky A Go-Go and The Mint, to name a few.

She also keeps a busy schedule in the studio writing with the top writers and producers in the industry and has placed music and lent her vocals to songs on such networks as MTV, Disney, CBS, Nickelodeon and HGTV. Her work as a songwriter has received over 100 million You Tube views.

In addition to her extensive knowledge and skill in the recording studio, Felice is a skilled vocal coach and classically trained vocalist. She has trained under some of the best vocal coaches in the industry including Dr. Arthur Lapierre (former faculty at Berklee College of Music); Jeffrey Skouson (works with the likes of Panic! At the Disco); Dave Stroud (creator of VocalizeU, former Chief Executive Officer of Speech Level Singing International and has worked with Justin Timberlake, Adam Lambert and Jordin Sparks to name a few); as well as Seth Riggs (founder of Speech Level Singing method).

Working in so many different facets of the music industry has given Felice a broad understanding of what it takes to be a successful artist. As an artist herself, she has learned that the more knowledge you have about working in the recording studio, music business and crafting you’re sound and voice, the more in demand and successful you will be.

A lifelong professional vocalist, Crystal helps her students to free their own individual voice and sing like they were meant to.

About Crystal
Crystal brings a lifetime’s experience of professional musicianship to each of her lessons. Born into a family of musicians, she sang her first solo at age 2. She also benefits her students with an extraordinarily diverse musical background, having worked as a vocalist in gospel, country, musical theater, jazz, classical, rock, pop and soul styles. Her performing career has taken her from L.A. church meetings to London’s Houses of Parliament.

Crystal hails originally from Los Angeles, CA - where her musical parents gave her a head start by including her in the family business the moment she was able to contribute. She went on to study classical voice, piano and music theory at The Boston Conservatory of Music. After concluding her studies in London, she returned home and began working regularly as a theater performer, appearing in twen
ty world premiers and re-imagined classics. Most notably she played the lead role of Keely Smith in the big band jazz musical “Louis and Keely: Live At The Sahara” during its eight-month run at Westwood’s Geffen Playhouse. She also formed her own rock band, The Honeysuckle Jones Revival, with whom she performed her own songs all over Los Angeles. And she began working as a studio session vocalist, providing demo vocals for other songwriters, as well as arranging and performing back-up vocals for original artists, including Laura Roppe (currently in the Top Ten on Billboard’s Uncharted list of emerging artists.) Crystal played the lead role of Brooke in the new operatic rock musical “The Burning Opera LA” during its Los Angeles run in 2011 as well as providing ensemble vocals and playing piano and bass. She also performs holiday tunes from the Golden Age of American songwriting with musical quartet The Sleigh Belles.

Crystal believes that music is serious business but that it should be fun. She encourages her students to play music they love, as well as expanding their musical knowledge. She is a firm believer in basics first and emphasizes theory and technique as the tools to support creativity and provide freedom, power and control. She believes effort beats talent every time and the student who practices consistently will see results, whatever their level of ability. Most of all, she believes we were all born to make music.

*** Lesson Details ***
Lesson structure varies depending on the student's instrument, age, level of experience and musical style. However, all lessons focus on:

Technique
Music theory
Performance style

After 3 or 6 months of consistent lesson attendance and practice, students will have a clear understanding of how their instrument works and how to care for it. They will be able to read basic music notation. They will be working toward clearly defined musical goals and they will have at least three performance pieces learned.

Loft Space: full size electric piano with weighted keys, small digital recorder, microphone, Garage Band, parents can sit in on lessons

Crystal has increased my daughter’s self-esteem and expressiveness through song. My daughter is now writing her own poetry and song lyrics, as well as being able to combat her once shyness quality. She loves to perform in front of others now and has a confidence level that amazes me, especially now that she is going into those “teen” years. I'm a classically trained vocalist with 10 years of experience in Musical Theatre, who transitioned into working with pop singers 20 years ago. My experiences consist of vocal producing, in-studio coaching, accent training, vocal arranging, and background singing for artists like Mandy Moore, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Diego Torres, CNCO, and the likes, as well as for TV shows like La Voz, La Voz Kids, La Banda, Mira Quien Baila and France's Les Anges TV series. Most recently, I've been working to help develop and coach young artists and influencers who need overall development and guidance, not just in terms of technique, but recording vocals, vocal producing, social media content creation and strategy, on-stage training, and more.

About Liza
Hi guys, my name is Liza Quintana, PKA Liza Quin. I've been performing since the age of 5, songwriting and recording since the age of 8, and trained/worked in musical theatre and classical voice for over 10 years after that. I became a professional songwriter by 18, and since, transitioned to working with pop recording artists. I've been lucky enough to work behind the scenes in the music industry for 20 years; writing songs, recording vocals on 100s of albums + music for TV and film, & singing back-up alongside several artists like Jennifer Lopez, Nelly, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Alejandro Sanz, Ricardo Montaner, Jon Secada, Ziggy Marley, Snoop Dogg, & Jencarlos Canela, to name a few. Because of these opportunities, I started in-studio coaching & vocal producing many of the artists I had written songs for. This eventually led to get
ting the chance to work as vocal director & coach for the Orianne and Phil Collins Little Dreams Foundation, and, most recently, coaching Latin pop group CNCO in preparation for their 2018/2019 world tour, as well as coaching some on-air talent on France’s NRJ TV series Les Anges 11. But in between all of that show-biz stuff, I've experienced every kind of scene, including gigging in bars, so I feel like I understand all aspects of performer life.

I've been so lucky to do what I love for so long, and now I want to help anyone at any level do something they love, too. I became a vocal coach, not because I think I'm a perfect singer, but rather because I have loved and continue to love learning the craft of singing and want to help others who love it, too. I sympathize with a singer's struggles to constantly get better, and I also appreciate the value in helping people who have always been curious about singing, & just need the right kind of guidance to get the chance to learn a skill that can often make one feel so vulnerable.

With me, beginner students can expect to learn about basic technique, vocal health, and finding their natural voice in a way that pertains to genres they like, so that it all seems not-so-scary. Intermediate students can explore finding their personal style, safely expanding their range, and correcting any potentially unsafe habits, while professional students can get feedback and tips to improve on their overall strategies and goals moving forward.
I hope I get the chance to also help YOU reach your goals and full potential!
