I have 20 plus years in several styles of guitar including Rock, Metal, Blues, Worship styles. I also teach songwriting on guitar. If you desire to learn to play the guitar and grow very quickly then I am the perfect teacher for this. You can learn Popular Songs, original Songwriting and much more. Rhythm guitar, picking patterns and reading notes on the guitar are all taught.

For the beginner we start learning immediately, by choosing what guitar and why. The different methods of sitting with the guitar, as well as standing.We then go over tuning your instrument, these things make us more familiar with the instrument. We then learn new songs by playing either chords (harmony) or melodic lines, (melodies or scales). The beginner will also learn to use "proper technique" which includes playing on fingertips, thumb placement for the fretting hand and other approaches. The picking hand techniques include and are not limited to finger picking, or the use of the plectrum.

For intermediate player it's all about theory and practice. This level of student will learn scale and chordal theory, and apply them to existing songs as well as learning the new songs with the theory in mind. On guitar, my husband and I teach and work with both (CHILDREN AND ADULTS), ages 6 to to Adult of ALL Ages, NO AGE to old.

If you have a desire to learn to play, we can get you started and playing before you know it.

If children who are TOO young, (below 5 or 6) to they sometimes have problems getting their guitar strings to pressed down well enough to sound clear, so we like to at least start with a minimum age of 6 or 7 years old, to be sure they can press their strings down well.

Areas of Study:

- Music Theory: ear training, note-reading skills, and knowledge of how music works as a whole.

- Improvisation: drill and learn solo skills and increase confidence when jamming with other musicians.

- Technique: how to hold the guitar and use the left and right hands in a way that that is relaxed and tension free.

- Repertoire: songs you learn for study.

I perform six nights a week in Las Vegas and have used what I have learned through performance to inspire countless students.

After our first lesson, I will then develop a plan, including exercises, songs, and a sample practice schedule that will get you where you want to be if you put in the time and effort!

Lessons will be typically broken into sections of harmony, technique and tune learning. Although, this is flexible, depending on the student.

I understand that every student learns differently and has different interests.
