For the beginner we start learning immediately, by choosing what guitar and why. The different methods of sitting with the guitar, as well as standing. We then go over tuning your instrument, these things make us more familiar with the instrument. We then learn new songs by playing either chords (harmony) or melodic lines, (melodies or scales). The beginner will also learn to use "proper technique" which includes playing on fingertips, thumb placement for the fretting hand and other approaches. The picking hand techniques include and are not limited to finger picking, or the use of the plectrum.
For intermediate player it's all about theory and practice. This level of student will learn scale and chordal theory, and apply them to existing songs as well as learning the new songs with the theory in mind. More advanced picking techniques and the ability to know when to use what picking approach when reading the the rhythm figures on the staff. Knowledge of song composition is ...

I perform six nights a week in Las Vegas and have used what I have learned through performance to inspire countless students.
After our first lesson, I will then develop a plan, including exercises, songs, and a sample practice schedule that will get you where you want to be if you put in the time and effort!
Lessons will be typically broken into sections of harmony, technique and tune learning. Although, this is flexible, depending on the student.
I understand that every student learns differently and has different interests.
Having taught hundreds of students, all from different backgrounds and age ranges, I have the experience and ability to custom-tailor lessons to your needs.

He lets you pick the genre and even songs that you'd like to play. His classical training means that you get experience in sight reading music and musical theory. I'm a bit of weird bird that I like blues and punk rock. He taught me the basics in both so I can have a great time just jamming out with him or with some of my talented friends.
Overall, if you're looking to invest some money in lessons, Ahmad is the place to go."

I've been taking lessons from Jason for about 8 months now, and they've been awesome. I've been playing for several years, but never took formal lessons--just checking tabs and playing along with songs. My main goal was to learn everything I missed: the basics, theory, technique... After just a lesson or two, Jason had figured out my skill level, set up relevant exercises, and began incorporating theory into what I already knew. I've seen huge improvements to my playing in such a short time, and I'm a bad student that barely practices.
What's impressed me the most is how well he incorporates the theory and exercises into actively learning songs you're interested in.. it keeps you exercising the theory while still having fun playing more than just scales. Definitely recommended for anyone wanting to dive into theory, improvisation, etc."

Thank you so much for everything Melaena!"

During this quarantine, having my lessons virtually is such a light during these challenging times, and they’re just as enjoyable as in person. Rob really is easygoing and has a great sense of humor!"
