With my guidance you'll be able to cast on and knit, and as time goes on you'll be creating wonderful garments in your own unique style. I specialize in sock knitting, colorwork, and pattern reading and writing, typically using my own books and teaching materials, as well as: printed material, online resources, YouTube videos, and podcasts. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels - so whether you're just starting out or want to learn something new, I'm your girl!

Self-taught knitter with experience and patience. Ability to teach beginner through advanced, with various tools - double pointed, circular or single-pointed needles, from dishcloths to socks to afghans and sweaters. Tutoring includes information on yarn and knitting tool selection. Also state certified to teach high school students and possess natural teaching style.

I am a certified knitting instructor from CYC (Craft Yarn Council ). I have over 35 years of knitting experience. I like to work with all kinds of yarn cheap or expensive, from lace to chunky yarn.
Teaching and designing are my true passion.

Knitting lessons are always fun and unique to each student’s needs and wants. Lessons can include things such as learning stitches, going over a pattern that a student wants to make, explaining knitting techniques, working on projects from beginning to end and anywhere in between. I am a flexible teacher that wants to help you reach your goals by working with you to create the best experience possible.

Go at your own pace and have fun are my knitting mottos! I teach continental style knitting and have been teaching beginners to knit for over 5 years. Together we'll experience the excitement that comes when you cast on something new, learn a new stich, or finish a favorite project.

I'm can start with the basics (cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch) or jump straight into helping on a project you have planned (or started and got stuck on? don't worry - it happens to all of us!). There is no limit to the kind or number of projects we can do. I have plenty of project ideas and am always happy to help with your ideas, too.
