My students learn basic note reading, strumming and technique. We have fun writing songs, too! Students can expect to complete Hal Leonard's Guitar Book One, plus Hal Leonard's Easy Pop Melodies, along with plenty of supplemental songs.

About Heather M.

More important than my conservatory education and my experience as an educator and a performer is my passion for teaching music and acting and my undying belief that anyone can learn to be a musician and an actor. I'm currently available to teach lessons in my own St. Augustine home studio and

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.

"Ahmad is an excellent guitar teacher. I have been taking lessons from Ahmad at his place in for several months now and I'm continually impressed with Ahmad and very pleased with my progress on the guitar.

Ahmad has a relaxed and friendly attitude, but it's clear that he's exceptionally good at his trade. He has years of experience and teaching materials on hand, and I enjoy that Ahmad customizes what he teaches to each student's skill level and goals. He has developed a very effective teaching method that works well for me. I've had plenty of music education previously in my life and Ahmad quickly recognized that we could move quickly over the basics of reading music, rhythm notation, etc. and he's always prepared with an exercise or two for me to take home and practice to expand my skills further.

I found Ahmad via his web site and called him and he was very professional and courteous leading up to our first appointment. He's got his teaching down to a science and Ahmad is very efficient with his administrative matters. I'm grateful for this because it leaves a lot more time for the guitar lesson itself.

Ahmad charges a reasonable fee for his service and I'm looking forward to learning from Ahmad for a long time to come."

"I describe myself as an "intermediate beginner" on the guitar -- that is, I know a handful of chords, have a decent sense of rhythm and can "fake it" pretty well. I went to Adam to help me learn how to play properly and get to the next level. He met my expectations and then some...

Adam was quick to size up my capabilities and he worked with me, at my pace and with my input, to help me improve, demonstrating techniques and offering advice that opened up many new possibilities for me.

He also provided access to some great training materials and websites that have been invaluable as I work to be a better musician. I especially appreciate his willingness to help me sharpen up and make more compelling several tunes I've written, adding mini-riffs and flourishes that enhance the songs in a big way.

Adam is talented, knowledgeable and easy to work with, and I recommend him highly."

"Great teacher

I highly recommend Jesse. We have tried different options before, and Jesse is the one who understands my son's learning style. He is very attentive and tuned-in to both my son and us as parents, and we communicate all the time about how to best help him progress.
He can go from classical guitar to any song my son wants to learn. His house is set up as a studio, and it's a great environment for the lessons, with Jesse going from one instrument to the other to accompany children playing. He offers online tools to help with learning, uses apple technology, and in that sense, knows how to reach out to teens."
