I am versed in Chord-melody, pick-and fingerstyle Jazz. I am comfortable teaching most contemporary styles of guitar playing, and the techniques required.

I've been teaching for over 20 years and can tailor lessons to the individual using the music you want and my large repertoire ranging from simple American Folk through Advanced modern music. I can get you to accompany,solo and also read music too( if you wish). I have concise approaches to all matters of technique, scale work and arpeggios. You can be confident that you are coming to an experienced teacher/player who cares deeply about music and loves helping the student progress.

I have been playing instruments for years, such as Cello, Piano and of course Guitar. I have received the best instruction in learning and playing the guitar when I first started playing guitar in high school. My Guitar teacher has multiple degrees in teaching and playing guitar. I have also had the privilege of being his guitar teacher assistant for two years, which has helped me learn and grow as a teacher. To top everything off, I am also a two year pavan graduate which is a fine arts school. I really learned lots of cool stuff about guitar there and would love to share my knowledge with you!

My goal as an instructor is to keep the lessons fresh, fun, interesting, and to ultimately guide the students to better teach themselves as they gain experience and familiarity with the instrument and music. Students can have their lessons catered to the music and styles they wish to pursue. Lessons are tailored to each individual student so that we can build upon their strengths and focus on lessons to improve weaker areas. Students will learn how to build dexterity, use proper technique, and be creative. Every student has different goals, some really want to learn theory and read music. Others may simply want to learn to strum a few chords. Whatever the goal, I can provide the instructions to help the student succeed!
