Play the music you want to play. I often use a combination of styles to get you to advance in your guitar skills whether you are a stone beginner or advanced. I've been teaching for over 20 years and can tailor lessons to the individual using the music you want and my large repertoire ranging from simple American Folk through Advanced modern music. I can get you to accompany, solo and also read music too( if you wish). I have concise approaches to all matters of technique, scale work and arpeggios. You can be confident that you are coming to an experienced teacher/player who cares deeply about music and loves helping the student progress.

For me, when Peter is playing the drums or Piano after he has given me the structures/scales makes it very easy to learn. Very patient and encouraging. Ask yourself- Why aren’t YOU taking lessons with Peter?

I have been playing instruments for years, such as Cello, Piano and of course Guitar. I have received the best instruction in learning and playing the guitar when I first started playing guitar in high school. My Guitar teacher has multiple degrees in teaching and playing guitar. I have also had the privilege of being his guitar teacher assistant for two years, which has helped me learn and grow as a teacher. To top everything off, I am also a two year pavan graduate which is a fine arts school. I really learned lots of cool stuff about guitar there and would love to share my knowledge with you!

My goal as an instructor is to keep the lessons fresh, fun, interesting, and to ultimately guide the students to better teach themselves as they gain experience and familiarity with the instrument and music. Students can have their lessons catered to the music and styles they wish to pursue. Lessons are tailored to each individual student so that we can build upon their strengths and focus on lessons to improve weaker areas. Students will learn how to build dexterity, use proper technique, and be creative. Every student has different goals, some really want to learn theory and read music. Others may simply want to learn to strum a few chords. Whatever the goal, I can provide the instructions to help the student succeed!

From his profile here I could tell that Juan was not only a skilled musician, but a keen and pensive instructor. After a single session Juan was able to properly asses my abilities and my shortcomings and tailor-designed an approach that matches my personal and musical nature. He uses my strong affinity for technique and uses that to discourage my hesitancy toward theory. He has a comfortable and approachable presence where mistakes and flaws are encouraged as learning footstools. With humble discipline he pushes me to -want- to be better.
With Juan I am absolutely confident in not merely becoming an apt guitarist, but a genuine musician."

Edwin was a great teacher. He was very patient and knew the guitar well enough to teach an adult who knew nothing. I have recommended my friends and their kids."
