About Keith

Hi, my name is Keith and I have been involved in music from an early age. I love playing and teaching piano. I started taking lessons at the age of 9, and soon added trumpet and French Horn to my list of instrumental music lessons. I continued, through High School and College, taking music classes

Keith is an amazing teacher. My 7 year old son likes him very much. Before the lessons I worried our boy couldn’t build his interest in playing piano, just lose his enthusiasm after a while as the 7 years old always did. But Keith make me totally worry free, my son likes him very much, and he really knows how to build the kid’s interests and confidence while learning. Now my son enjoyed himself very much with Keith in their piano time. We are so lucky to find Keith.

We had four in-home lessons with Keith and he never once arrived on time. And not like 5 minutes late because of bad traffic or something. Once he was 40 minutes late, and another time he was 45 minutes late. For an hour lesson. At first I though there was some confusion because the time on take lessons was slightly different than the time we agreed to (he asked if we could start earlier than the time slot that was listed, and I agreed) but after speaking with him about it, we were both on the same page as to what time the lesson *should* begin, he just never arrived on time. He seems to be very overbooked and busy and does not respect his clients’ time. He told me that the disparity of arriving on time or a half hour late is “superfluous,” so if you hire him, be prepared to have a wide window of when he could show up. My kids liked him as a teacher, which is why I kept giving him chances and trying to work out scheduling issues (I offered to move our lessons to a different time, but he insisted the time we were at was fine) but in the end, things could not be resolved.

Do you want to study with an award-winning artist-teacher who has performed all over the world, and whose students have won countless local, national and international competitions? I accept students of all starting levels, as these change and grow quickly under my tutelage. My goal is to have each student reach their full potential, which is usually much greater than they believe.

Here is more about me:

Her recent album Ferruccio Busoni: The Late Works (Ravello, 2019) was selected by Spotify for its Best New Releases list, received rave reviews from Fanfare, American Record Guide, Whole Note Magazine, and others, and has been heard on radio stations around the world.

Dr. Belsky won the 2019 American Prize in Piano Performance for her earlier recording of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, which American ...

Svetlana has been teaching my son, who’s 10 years old, for 3 years. She’s kind and very knowledgeable. My son loves going to his lessons and looks forward to it every week. Svetlana teaches him musical theory, scales, and classical pieces and he has thrived with her instruction. Last year, he won a silver medal at the Sonatina competition! I highly recommend Svetlana as a piano teacher.

Ms Belsky has a unique ability to analyze a student's current pianistic situation and to guide them toward a deeper understanding of the best technique for achieving a more expressive performance. She has a deep knowledge of the history and performance practices of each musical style. She is generous in her observations, comments and suggestions.

I've been teaching music since I was 25, and my students have gone on to become professional musicians, lifelong friends, and most importantly, happy from the experience.

I do not use method books but rather take the students' requests and pieces they love and turn them into sheet music by hand.

I do not tell the students what they do wrong, only what they do right. Everyone makes mistakes, so when that happens, I tell the student "Good!" and move on to the next musical success.

Online Piano Teacher

Strong instrumental playing begins with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of music and the simple act of making a sound from the instrument. Students learn to play music by ear first, and are later introduced to music notation. More advanced lessons emphasize sight-reading, expression, and improvisation.

Thomas has studied piano for 15 years, and continues to play regularly. His education has included courses specifically on musical instruction methodologies, and he has been trained as a pianist at the collegiate level.

About Thomas

Piano, woodwinds, trumpet, composition Chords, sight-reading, theory, jazz, classical, and pop No one ever regrets learning an instrument… yet many grow old wishing they had taken music lessons! A talent they’ll be able to develop their entire life, your children will thank you for giving them

The first lesson was successful. My particular background in piano is unique, and my needs are atypical as well. I thought Thomas assessed my abilities, lack of abilities, and goals well and quickly. He started me on a different perspective on looking at music (reading the staff) that seems very helpful. I'm encouraged.
