Dear guys,

I create and teach uniquely tailored classes in English as a Foreign Language at all levels to adults and children. I created and taught long-term English Immersion Programs for international companies, entrepreneurs and their families.

As a longtime translator, I work on artistic and technical projects from Russian, French and Italian into English.

I’m thrilled and dedicated to diving into our language classes, with goals and dreams unique to each of you. I’d love to share with you the incredible, simple, awesome tools to enliven your learning journey!

About Jane (Zhenya)
I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and have always had an immense love for languages and cultures of the world. I found that diving into a new language and culture is one of the most incredible, joyful, compassionate and meaningful paths to discovering the world. All the while, rediscovering one’s own unique interests and curiosities. It’s always surprising and rewarding in ways we can’t foresee.

As a longtime, professional independent instructor, I never imagined where my languages and creative work would lead me and the wonderful folks I encountered along the way.

It’s been a journey of incredible variety.

I had the amazing opportunity to create and teach the first Russian, French and Italian classes to children in public elementary schools all around Oxnard. I was invited to teach French and Italian classes i
n the Ventura College Community Education, Russian immersion program for the U.S. Government and English to a team of international entrepreneurs and their families.

This work and my students inspired a joyful dedication to creating live video classes. I discovered that it’s a special, interactive and awesome platform into the world and I love seeing it grow.

I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your language journey.

Till then,

Zhenya

Few years ago, when I was attending LACC and taking grammar classes I thought that my knowledge of Verb Tenses was good enough . I used to write huge essays included a lot of pages. Moreover, I was getting straight As for all the essays that inspired me. Maybe my grammar was really correct, but I’m not sure that I expressed meaning correctly because I didn’t feel and recognize many nuances of Verb Tenses. Since , I started to take your classes I have understood how Verb Tenses are diverse , how flexible meaning they have in order to show our emotions.
Some people say it”s not necessary to use all V.T. Simple Past , Present and Future it”s enough for communication with each other, but I’m not agree with them. Using all V.T. we have made English more rich , natural and beautiful for that reason our life become jucier.
I never had been so fascinated by studying English grammar before I met you 
I have appreciated your teaching full love . You’re always ready to share your skills with the people who want to improve their knowledge. I’m happy that I found you!
THANK YOU MY DEAR Zhenya !!!!!!!! 

I've taught ESL to many students, varying from people who could barely say "hello" to those who were just trying to get the past perfect continuous tense right. I love it.

About Michelle
Hi! I'm Michelle, a world traveler/teacher who's here to help bring her experience and energy to students back home in California. I've taught various subjects such as test prep, English, history, and languages to students all over the world, such as China, France, and Ecuador. I've worked with students of all ages and love getting to know them to help figure out how they best learn.

I love learning languages in my spare time and practicing when I can. When I'm not looking a bit silly doing that, I'm usually reading, at a baseball game, hiking, or hanging out with friends. I keep active, making sure to run or climb a mountain when I can. However, it's equally as strong as my love for foods of all kinds.

I really look forward to getting to work with you and helping you with whatever I can!

I have been teaching ESL online for almost a year and I enjoy it so much! I love all of my students. There is no fear in making mistakes! That just means your brain is working. We will learn all the basics and make sure we have a strong foundation and then build upon that. I will cater to you whatever level you relate to. I am excited to get to know you and help you grow!

About Leah
Leah, a teacher, singer/songwriter, musician, entertainer and Berklee College of Music graduate.

She loves teaching and loves her students. Her main joy in teaching is watching her students grasp a new understanding and appreciation for their desired art and growing in their skills and talent. She loves seeing her students overcome obstacles. In her lessons, Leah sets the tone for care and a safe space to truly grow fearlessly. It is important to grow in confidence in your craft. In lessons, she covers setting a foundation, different genres, confidence, warm-up exercises, vocal techniques, ear training, music theory, harmony, performance techniques, audition preparation, range, improvisation, agility, freedom and more. She focusses on a few things at a time and has her students grow into other areas to work.

Musically, she provides
sounds and smooth tones of Jazz and Soul. Her latest EP entitled SonKissed is Jazz influenced music with Neo-Soul vibes and a positive message about love and life. She has been singing around Boston and New York and writing and recording new music. She has great things in store for her in the near future and much music and passion to share with the world.

Originating from Henderson, North Carolina, she grew up singing in school, church and choirs including the Raleigh Girls Choir of Raleigh, NC. Taking singing and piano lessons grew her love for music. She always had a fondness of jazz music starting at a young age, as her father would play jazz music. Studying music has led her to perform in recitals, concerts and festivals such as the Mozart Music Festival with The Capital City Girl’s Choir in Vienna, Austria, to study and perform abroad in Valencia, Spain, to graduate from Berklee College of Music and to continue writing, performing and growing as an artist. Leah also enjoys being involved in and performing in community events as she gives back. It is very important to her to help others as many have helped her.

She gets much of her inspiration from influences such as Jesus Christ, her parents, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Dianne Reeves, Lisa Fischer, Sammy Davis Jr., Sade, Anita O’day, India Arie, Erykah Badu, Adele, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Mary Mary, Robin Thicke, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Esperanza Spalding, Miles Davis, Al Jarreau, Nancy Wilson, Ledisi, Sounds of Blackness, Take 6, Gretchen Parlato, and Quincy Jones just to name a few.

Yoichi's first review left for Gina: Thank you, Gina! I enjoyed talking with you very much. I was a little nervous before my first web lesson started, but you were so friendly and kind that I felt relaxed. You gave good advice. I'll try to learn hard by next time!

Now over 2 years and 100 classes later, the reviews are still great, though more technical... Great lesson! Thank you, Gina! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the speeches! I forgot to ask which is correct, the position of "[...]", which means omission, right after the sentence as in S. Thurlow's transcript, or right before the sentence as in E. Roosevelt' transcript?

ESL lessons with me are unique because I have a fun, non-judgmental approach where I create/present engaging material that is relevant to the students. My motivation is knowing that I can help students enhance their quality of life by helping them learn an additional way to express themselves and connect to other people who don't speak their native language. Teaching challenges me and I believe I thrive because of that.

About Candis
My purpose is to educate, encourage unconditional love & self-empowerment. Teaching English is one of my favorite ways to do this! I love to unite cultures and help others to acquire speaking skills to improve their quality of life! I realize the need for education in the world today more than ever and I recognize that I have the patience and interest to dedicate my career to teaching.

I have my TEFL certification from The International TEFL Academy and a B.A. Degree in Theatre from the Illinois State University. I use these educational experiences to empathize with students so, I have a better understanding of what is most needed when learning a second language.

I am a true educator and I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I have ESL teaching experience specifically from teaching personal ESL classes in Colombia and from teachi
ng ESL online from the United States. I am ready to continue this journey with Takelessons.com and help students who are looking for a fun, non-judgmental instructor.

Experienced teacher of 3 years, specializing in all levels , beginner level , elementary and advanced. This is your chance to have that one to one support in speaking and writing in the English language with me being your tutor giving you those fun interactive lessons.

About Ramla
UMMARY
Teaching is about having passion with expertise in preschool curriculum development, classroom management and relationship building. Teacher's are to be focused on being a good role model towards pupils by exhibiting and reinforcing positive behavior. For this environment, you should be easily approachable by the staff and students alike. With my experience, I feel it has helped me as a professional on how to approach matters and be able to solve any arising situations. I am dedicated to commit to a career in teaching, as I am very confident in working in this field.
As for teaching, it is about having this sense of duty to your students but also maintaining a mutual relationship with your staff in order to co-operate properly and I feel that I can certainly provide this. Moreover, I feel that it is upon the teacher’s duty to meet
each individual’s unique needs. Being attentive to the emotional, intellectual and social needs for each student; for this, I have worked with students who have learning disability and for them it is easy to lose concentration and comprehend what is being taught. So a staff assistant should be then be provided for this individual to help him understand what the teacher is explaining.
This is done with one to one with the staff assistant in the corner of class, to avoid the class discussions etc.I like a bit of challenge here and there, without this experience in my past work placement, I may have needed more time to adjust to settings but I sense I can smoothly fit in.
