I focus on the fundamentals and on having fun playing the clarinet. In the first lessons we will concentrate on developing good embouchure and hand position so you can create a beautiful sound. We will work on a variety of music, depending on your interests. I can help you master your parts for school bands and ensembles. I welcome students at all levels, and make sure that all of my students recognize the progress they make at each lesson. I look forward to working with you!

Playing the piano is something I have enjoyed since I was in the third grade. I loved music so much, I picked up the flute, as well, a few years later and joined my high school band. Since 1996, I have enjoyed teaching children who have a passion to learn as I did. With a degree in elementary education, I have experience both as an elementary school teacher as well as a music teacher of piano and flute. I studied the piano under seven different piano instructors and the flute under 3 instructors. As both an academic teacher and music teacher, I have watched how children who are trained in music flourish and excel in their academics, their creative skills, time management, discipline/character, their ability to concentrate, development of hand-muscle/hand-eye coordination, self-esteem, and ability to relax and cope with stress. I am constantly observing this in my own children's lives as they take piano lessons, and it has been so rewarding!!! I am looking forward to the opportunity to
I have been playing the piano for 31 years and the flute for 29....these are still some of my favorite hobbies. As early as elementary school, I was privileged to participate in numerous masterclasses, recitals, and state and national competitions. In high school and college, I began accompanying f

Hello! I specialize in teaching younger beginners ages 5-12 the basics of drumming in a way that helps your child locate and develop their innate musical senses and skills. I help kids learn how to "feel" music naturally and how to "speak" the musical language with ease. I focus my lessons on fun experiences that can't help but lead kids down a path of musical discovery and development.
Hello! My name is Mike and I'd love to help you learn how to play the drums! I'm a lifelong music lover and I started playing the drum set at age 12. I love helping my students learn the drum beats and fills from their favorite songs. I center my teaching around fostering a natural ease and love fo
As my son has a disability, it is often hard to find a teacher that can not only help him to find enjoyment and enthusiasm, but treat him like the serious musician he is. The best part of his teaching… Larry doesn’t even realize he’s learning. To him, they just jam.
I’ve seen my son grow not just as a drummer, but as a musician and student since Mr. Mike became his instructor. Now, he can listen better, play better, and have more fun on his instrument. I am very grateful for Mr. Mike’s patience, compassion, and skill set as a drum instructor and for the confidence he brought to my son.

Mr. Keene is a remarkable piano teacher. My son did not want to take piano lessons but Mr. Keene inspired him to play the piano and play it well. My son has been with Mr Keene for just a few months and my son's piano playing has greatly improved. I was worried about having a teacher go too slow though the books and lessons but Mr. Keene has worked at a great pace and moved my son along adequately and he has learned so much. I am very impressed. He is very knowledgable and we highly recommend Mr. Keene for piano!"
John is an excellent teacher. He is very knowledgeable about the guitar and the technical aspects of music, and he is also very personable and encouraging. When I started lessons with John last summer I had been playing the guitar for over 30 years, and feel I have learned a tremendous amount from him.
I would recommend him for any level of lessons. He's a great guy!"
Highly recommend!!! :-)"
My daughter looks forward to her lessons every week."
