I've been teaching piano for over ten years, and my students have gone on to make piano a life-long hobby, play in recitals and at church, or just enjoy playing for friends and family. My objective as a music educator is to instill in students a lifelong passion for music. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic melodies and as time goes on you'll begin to play your favorite tunes comfortably. I love working with students of all ages and levels, and I can't wait to meet you!

About Caleb

A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Caleb began playing piano at the age of 5. Throughout his childhood he took lessons in piano and voice. Caleb has a Bachelor of Music degree from Bob Jones University, Master of Music degree and Performer's Certificate from USC, where he studied under pianists M

Caleb comes highly recommended from the Hannibal Family. My daughters (Sydney and Reagan) took over 2 years of piano lesson under the guidance and supervision of Caleb, through the USC School of Music, and found him to be an excellent choice for them. Not only is Caleb very knowledgeable and devoted to teaching in the area of music, he's also a great motivator and excellent with children because of his patience and passion for the arts.

Caleb was a great instructor. My son Tarun started taking Piano lessons when he was 7. Caleb was very patient with my son who can be very difficult to teach. Tarun has had another teacher since then but he still talks about Caleb. I would not hesitate a second if I had to pick Caleb as our Piano instructor if had a chance.

Joan taught my son from first time to an advanced beginner. She was very patient and extremely helpful. My son was fully engaged in his lessons and always enjoyed his time with Joan. Joan was very dependable, always on time for lessons and always flexible with her scheduling. She also assisted in purchasing a drumset for my son. I've taken lessons with Emi as a beginner and later as a more experienced guitarist. Always a great lesson. He's a fantastic teacher for people of any experience level. He goes out of his way to tailor his lessons to whatever you specifically want to learn.

I've been trying to teach myself to play the guitar for months now, and I learned more with Emiliano in 2 lessons than I did in those months. If you really want to learn to play, get a lesson with Emiliano. It is worth it. He makes things easy to understand, and was super patient with me who has zero musical talent. I really cannot recommend him enough.
Matthew
Emiliano is a fantastic teacher. I knew little to nothing about guitar before working with him and he was able to easily walk me through everything. Thanks Emiliano!

My music education began 27 years ago with private lesson on clarinet. 5 years later, I began studying guitar, bass, theory and improvisation.

I am a professional musician who plays guitar for a local cover band. I also sub for local groups in the area and have been asked to perform as a guest musician. This is also my 4th year as musical director of a brass band in which I am responsible for selecting and arranging their music, as well as directing then during live performances.

Studying theory and multiple instruments at a young age allowed me to become quite diverse as I am able to play or teach any style. Lessons are customized to each student to ensure that the fundamentals are mastered as well as focusing on what interests the individual student.

I have taught music for 7 years and my students have ranged in age from 6-45 years old.

About Elliot

I believe that all students need to learn the fundamentals of their instrument, but lessons should be fun and geared toward the individual. My lessons are customized to each student and are the perfect combination of fundamentals and studying the styles, artists, and topics that interest YOU!

"Eric is an extraordinary teacher. My vocal abilities were about zero when I came to him. A few months later, I was singing at open mics. A year later, I was taking turns at singing lead with my band.

Eric is patient, thoughtful and dedicated. Whatever you bring to the table, he'll match you 110%. He knows when to push, when to criticize and when to inspire. I'd recommend Eric for anyone who wants to take their music to the next level."

"I have been with Ruth for about 14 months. As a beginner, and an adult, I came into our lessons with a few concerns: Can I actually learn to play an instrument in my late 20s? Will I be able to keep up? Will I be stuck playing childish songs for the first few years? Fortunately Ruth was able to put these worries to rest. Not only is she patient and comforting, working with me at my own pace, she is great at breaking down theory and technique in a way that is easy for anyone at any age to understand. And the book that she has me using is filled with a large collection of songs specifically chosen for adult students; it's great!
Ruth has been nothing but a blessing; I enjoy our lessons thoroughly and I look forward to them every week."

Vocal Tips: Learning How to Harmonize

It's amazing what you can do with your voice!  Unlike other musicians, as a singer you carry your instrument with you at all times.  The opportunities to practice and perform your art are vast, as well as the ways to experiment with different styles, techniques, and of course, harmonies! Similar to a guitar player plucking one note and then building it into a chord, learning how to harmonize will create that rich, full sound when you're singing with a group or a choir. Singing harmonies, …
