I am an experienced trumpet player of 11 years. During those 11 years, I have done all kinds of playing, from jazz, orchestral, and concert band to pep, marching, and pit orchestra.

I currently study music education at the University of Illinois, where I am a trumpet student of Ronald Romm, founding member of the Canadian Brass.

I've taught trumpet players of many experience and age levels. Let's get started!

Students will expect a very individualized lesson. A plan and set of activities will be selected specifically for each student to ensure they are achieving the greatest amount of improvement possible.

As a trumpet player, I feel confident instructing beginners and advanced students on this instrument. I tailor my lessons to students individual needs, using many different respected trumpet methods to meet the challenges of the individual players.

I've been playing trumpet for 20 years, and I'm anxious to pass along my love for the instrument to others of all ages! I teach a variety of styles with my experience performing many kinds of music from classical to hip-hop. Whatever your interests I can get you playing with a healthy approach to brass playing and solid fundamentals!

The last four years I have been playing worship music for church services in Houston and Austin, TX. I feel like the Lord wants me to now teach the younger generation how to worship God with instruments. I started playing the trumpet in 6th grade and I was in the high school band for five years. I was in the All-Region Band every year from 7th grade through 12th grade and I once made it to Area while in high school. I play primarily hymns, but I am open to adding select anointed praise and worship songs. I think that hymns are a good starting place for those learning to worship God, since they are shorter songs and easier to play rather than something more lengthy and complicated. I'm very patient and I'm a trained and certified teacher as I used to teach and tutor high school science previously. Playing an instrument and worshiping God is something that should be fun and enjoyable, but also involves practice and hard-work. I look forward to working with you and your child, so
