My parents had me take piano lessons since I was five years old, and it's stayed with me ever since. Having taken lessons throughout grade school, I now make use of my free time learning new songs and playing regularly. In my lessons, my enthusiasm and appreciation for the instrument come through to inspire students to learn and enjoy piano for themselves, not just because they're being told to learn. I've worked with kids of all ages in various activities (coaching, tutoring, camp) and know how to work well with them and to get them self-motivated, which is the ultimate goal of any instructor.
Hi there! As a current graduate student at Boston College I'm looking to help support myself and what better way than to be part of the community and share my love of piano, tennis, philosophy, and the English language with others! Having taken piano lessons throughout grade school, I'm well versed

Being 16 and playing piano and taking lessons for 11 years, and having it integrated into most of my life, has given me an appreciation for the piano, that I'm not sure anything else could. I adore the piano and everything about it! I won't lie, it takes work. But what doesn't? I've been teaching piano for a little over three years now, and it's one of my favorite things to do!
I am 16 years old and a member of the Missouri Philharmonic Orchestra, and the principle cellist in the Play and Sing His Praises Homeschool Orchestra, where I also get to have the pleasure of being able to teach children and adults an instrument, when they otherwise might not have had a chance.

Piano should be fun! I've taught for 10 years all ages and abilities. We choose songs that student is interested in a. Any genre that he/she is passionate about. I include some exercises and theory based around the songs we are working on. This makes it easier to memorize , read and understand music. It is like reading notes as words rather than a jumble of dots. I love jazz and classical and have toured domestically/internationally with pop acts.
Classical, Jazz, Pop, R&B. Anything you are interested in! I include a variety of activities during the lesson that help keep it engaging and develop a complete understanding of the piece. This includes some light ear training, theory and exercises which can all be tapered to ability and repertoire

I would highly recommend Tom to anyone interested in learning how to play the drums."
Will ask for Laura again and recommend her to anyone."
The Sing Off is in full swing now, with eight talented a cappella groups remaining in the competition after this week's episode. The show, which is in its third season, features a cappella groups from around the U.S., performing each week in hopes of continuing on to get the grand prize of a Sony Music recording contract and $200,000. While Glee helped make choir groups "cool" again, The Sing Off has brought a cappella singing to the spotlight. This is truly a battle of the voices, as per …
