Befitting his penchant for encouraging artistic interest amongst younger members of his community, Farobag is also the principal conductor of the Zoroastrian Symphony Orchestra that offers a unique mixture of young and seasoned professionals sitting side-by-side in a strictly professional setting. Sheer technique is necessary but insufficient to play an instrument well. Aural skills, that include the study of functional tonality and voice-leading are important factors that impart musicality. This is of great import if the prospective musician wants the audience to truly enjoy his or her performance !
Whether it be the 3 Rs or preparation in the performing arts, a remarkable instructor must go well beyond the subject matter at hand and help imbue the student with a spirit of wonder that, in due time, will foster enthusiasm necessary for excellence.
A child emulates and learns to communicate in his or her mother-tongue through a supporting and nurturing environment. Likewise, a student needs to be sufficiently motivated to embrace learning in a familiar supportive manner.

I started with Patty's classes in 2001. I was 51 years old and getting pretty beat up by Menopause
and Endometriosis in particular. I was a Jogger for many years but needed to add a good class with
weights and high and low impact exercise to really get into good shape. My best friend recommended

Everyone knows that Exercise is critical to good health and if you have any chronic conditions is it

In 2016, I had the privilege of performing Rebecca Bryant’s ASKQUESTIONSLATER at the John F. Kennedy Center of Performing Arts for the American College Dance Association’s National Gala in Washington D.C.
For yoga, I teach a wide-range of yoga styles, with an emphasis on healing, somatic techniques, and Integral yoga principles. I have been practicing yoga for several years and teaching since 2017. Most of my classes consist of Gentle Flow practices to focus on finding space and stillness, providing the body an opportunity to unwind, heal, and restore. However, I am trained to teach Vinyasa Flow, Integral Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Iyengar Yoga. Currently I teach for Free Yoga on the Beach in Long Beach, CA.

I am very proficient in all of the above subjects and have helped dozens of students reach their long-term goals over the years. I am also very patient and have taught children piano lessons for more than 10 years. As a learner I know how overwhelming new subject-matter could be and I tend to understand the pace that the student needs/wants to go at.
I feel a huge sense of accomplishment when I see my students improving. I also am constantly improving myself as a teacher so the lessons will only get better and the material should be easier to understand with time.
