Have you ever wanted to learn this wonderful and very humoristic language and culture? Be it you're just travelling because someone told you that they're making the best cheese in the world (which is true!) or you're moving there because someone got you a job (lucky you!) or you just want to learn another language because you're curious. Let me warn you: It is not a modification of the German language, even though there's a few words that might look similar at first glance, but they're pronounced completely different! So, a small country with a huge culture! Ik hoop, tot ziens!

About Chrissy

Originally born in Germany, Chrissy developed a passion for music, language and teaching early on. Right out of High School she helped her mother, who was an educator at that time, write and stage-manage a children's Musical which found great response from the audience. Having 10 years of experienced cello teaching, I feel very comfortable helping my students understand the foundations of cello technique. I graduated with a Bachelors of Music from the music conservatory Cleveland Institute of Music, and got my Masters in Music from Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music.

In addition, I completed a 2 year rigorous Suzuki Technique Pedagogy Program where I am now certified to teach all 10 levels of the cello books. I am confident in explaining any questions a student may have. I love to make practicing a game, so that way we are developing the proper skills but also challenging ourselves while having fun! Even I can understand that practicing can get tiresome and dull at times!

As a traveling musician who has performed all over the world, I feel it is important for students to appreciate all types of music. While classical training and technique are absolutely crucial to the beginning stages of a student's development, I like to show ...

I love tailoring lessons to my students! Music is personal and I want to make sure you're learning what you're interested in or need to learn in order to prepare you for auditions or keep up in groups you play in. I always ask students for a list of music they're listening to or want to learn - nothing's off limits!

While I prefer working out of Piano Adventures Method Books for piano students, I'm happy to work out of materials you already own.

About Stephanie

I started Suzuki violin lessons at the age of 3 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Music degree from UW-Milwaukee. In following years, I did post graduate work at Alverno College and went on to complete Suzuki teacher training in Suzuki Books 1-4. Besides teaching private violin, viola, and piano

Jarod is an exceptional music production teacher!

Jarod and I have been working together weekly for more than a year now. Prior to us working together I had zero production knowledge and very little musical knowledge. I didn’t even know what a MIDI was. Jarod structured his lessons initially around how to use Ableton, but to say he is an ableton teacher would be inaccurate. Jarod has in fact been an immersive teacher across all aspects of edm music production including production, song writing, mixing, mastering, audio engineering, music theory, vocal production and the music business. He possess deep domain expertise across all these topics, and teaches patiently, with humor and with an infallibly positive attitude.

Within a year I have produced a number of songs and will hopefully release one soon. I have learnt how to produce, structure and compose all elements of an edm song, much faster than if was self taught with YouTube videos.

It’s very unique to be able to learn from a signed artist who is actively releasing music. I highly recommend Jarod if you are interested in learning music production. He will be a great partner to you and friend!

Jarod knows how to make his clients feel welcome in his studio, he is productive with his time, gives very helpful feedback during recording, and I look forward to future in studio sessions with him.

"Jessica is one of the most passionate educators I know. Having trained intensely in ballet growing up, she understands the importance of hard work and discipline in the dance studio. She holds her students up to the highest of standards while creating an incredibly positive, fun, and safe environment to work in. She has worked with a wide range of ages and adjusts quickly to whatever the needs of the students are. She is nurturing and sensitive and is able to handle any challenging situation with grace and poise. As a highly trained dancer and actress, she has a great wealth of knowledge to pass on to her students. She loves theater and dance and her joy shines through her work. Her passion is contagious and her students can’t help but soak it up like a sponge. As an employee, she is easy to work with, collaborative, timely, responsible and trustworthy. Jessica goes over and beyond her job expectations and her classrooms are always buzzing with excitement and sweat! I can’t recommend Jessica highly enough!!!"

"Fawn is more than a teacher, she's a mentor and a trusted ally in this crazy business of music. I decided to wait and write this review for July 4 because Fawn gave me my independence! What better day to celebrate her, than today? Under Fawn's guidance, I'm not the same performer on stage, vocalist or musician I once was, before I was scared, my voice would crack, my hands would shake, my legs felt wobbly. NOW, I am strong, fierce, fearless and independent! No more vocal issues thanks to her brilliant endurance training! For the first time, I performed in front of a crowd of 5,000, and rather than being afraid, I was excited! I could not have done that without Fawn. I am so excited for what the future holds. I won't give up my time with Fawn for nothin'! Here's to bigger audiences, more music, and YOU, Fawn! xx"

"Thank you, Vanessa Pace!

THANK YOU, VANESSA!

A year ago when I was shopping for a voice teacher, Take Lessons provided a wide selection of viable options. As a senior adult, I was feeling a need to clarify my "Call" in life, and to return to some of the personal strengths that I hope to continue using in the last 1/3 of my life. In my profile I indicted I was looking to maintain the voice that has been a part of every aspect of my life from theatre to singing, to preaching, to creating radio spots. When I mentioned that goal to Vanessa in our first meeting she countered: “We won’t just maintain it, we’ll restore it!” What a confidence booster that was!

Although my life work mostly involves speaking, I also have a love of singing—something I have participated in one way or another for the last 50 years. I wanted to overcome the “old lady” vibrato syndrome if possible and to be able to sing without concern that those within earshot would shudder.

In addition, I was looking for certain attributes in a teacher:
• A person who is at my stage of life or beyond.
• A person who is knowledgeable in both singing and speech.
• A person with a personal teaching style that is positive and encouraging.

ENTER VANESSA PACE!

Vanessa is confident and knowledgeable. In addition, she has customized my learning program to suit my current objectives, which have changed from one week to the next depending upon my professional assignments from work and my personal creative pursuits.

In this year Vanessa brought me to a point of “breaking through” inhibitions and moving beyond what I thought I’d be able to do. Her constant use of cues to put me on track with the use of my voice has been invaluable! She compared letting sound pass through the vocal cords (without strain) in the same way breath becomes music through a clarinet. Using words like “Pull up your spine—you’re two inches taller!”; and reminders to draw on the strength of (underused) larger muscles to support the efforts of diaphragm have been helpful in numerous practical matters of everyday life.

Vanessa is inspiring in that she is a life-long learner and passionate about things to the degree that she invests in them with intelligent research, attention to science, and a spiritual passion that drives her to draw out the best in her students in similar fashion.

If you are looking for a voice teacher, Vanessa will work with you where you are--and help you move toward the goal of where you are hoping to be.

I am thanking God this Thanksgiving Season for Vanessa Pace.
