About JingJing
Hi, I am a multi-international prize winner and a dedicated teacher. A piano performance graduate of Manhattan School of Music and University of Illinois, I have collaborated as soloist with major orchestras in China, USA, Europe and South America for fifteen years.

In the summer of 2006, I made my critically acclaimed European debut at the International Piano Festivals held in Spain and Canary Islands. In 2008, I was selected by famous New York critics David Dubal to perform in his lecture concert series, live broadcast on WQXR. From October of 2008 to July 2009, I won five international competition awards around globe, which led me to several concert tours in the following years. In August of 2009, I participated in the prestigious George Enescu International Music Festival in Bucharest. In May of 2010, I participated in the Gilmor
e Keyboard Festival Masterclass in Kalamazoo. That year also marked my recital and concerto debut in Panama and Colombia as well as in Krannert Center of Performing Arts in Illinois. In 2012, I made my solo recital debut at Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series in Chicago. Besides my frequent solo appearances,I have been an active collaborative chamber musician.I have performed a number of chamber music concerts with many instrumentalists around the world, highlighting a tour with a string quartet around the Netherlands in August, 2007, after having received two-week-long coaching with Menahem Pressler and Shumel Ashkenasi.

Along with my performing career, I have been teaching young piano students since I was eighteen. I have experience teaching all age-group in masterclasses and private lessons.

*** Lesson Details ***
I love teaching all age-group piano students! I find teaching is rewarding when a student is making progress, learning effectively and having fun with music. My teaching style and lesson focus will be unique for each individual person, and I'm very flexible in adapting to each student's needs and personality. My specialty is to discover and make each student find their own technique and sound on piano.

I am a friendly, easy-going and patient teacher, but I do have expectations. My ultimate goal is to help each student cultivate spiritual and physical well-being, along with the ability to recognize and develop personal and musical strengths, and to recognize and address respective weaknesses.

*** Studio Equipment ***
A 5'7 Steinway Piano in Studio.

*** Travel Equipment ***

Magic piano teacher

I have known Jingjing personally through his performances for five years and recently my 6-year old son started having lessons with him. At first, my son wasn't really be able to sit tight for 10 minutes but after a few lessons, he could concentrate for 25-30 minutes. Jingjing's lessons are magical! And my son enjoys the lessons now. He already played a few folk songs and was encouraged to compose his own music at the piano. I really appreciate Jingjing's effort!

Great mentor!

I've worked with JINGJING WANG for 3 years and he's been always reliable, patient and creative. He taught me many different ways to practice and it was such an incredible experience. Now I am a piano teacher myself and I will keep learning from him.

Sarah is the best cello instructor that I ever had. I really learned a lot from her besides just the technical aspects of playing. Sarah's passion for instructing the cello was clearly evident through her teaching style and what she demanded from me. She could also answer many of my questions about music, theory, and general style. I always felt like she was teaching me to play and practice with the same dedication that she has.
I'm truly sorry that I had to stop taking lessons with her because of a long distance move.

Sarah is an excellent cello instructor. I have been taking lessons from her for just over two years. Besides having a keen ear, she is able to explain new concepts in a way that makes it easier for a new student to learn. She is also patient, and understands that learning comes over time with plenty of practice and guidance. Learning the cello with Sarah has been a very positive experience.

About Amanda
I am a classically trained opera singer with a 15 year background studying voice and performing on stage. I have experience with a variety of styles: classical, musical theater, pop, jazz, and rock. I am currently a member of improv-opera group Forte Chicago, which works to debunk the stereotypes of opera as an art form.

I began teaching beginner voice lessons a year ago and I would like to continue building my experience. My past and current voice students ranged in age from 16-23. In addition, I taught skiing for 3 years specializing in children age 5-12.

I started playing piano at 5 years old and consider myself proficient, however, we may use recorded accompaniment (karaoke tracks, piano tracks, etc) depending on the needs of your lesson.

I have extensive knowledge of music education techniques, music history, and theory. I
am also proficient in Italian, French, German, Spanish, and Latin. My many years or professional chorus work and time as a section leader also contribute to my ability as a teacher and singer.

I teach lessons out of my Ukranian Villiage apartment and I can also do house calls anywhere in the city of Chicago.

I have a very friendly Siberian Husky, Lando who will be present at your lesson. Depending on your comfort level with dogs, please let me know if you would like me to put him in another room during the lesson. He usually sits on the couch or floor to listen.

I am a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where I studied theatre and marketing and filled my time with a variety of creative pursuits from musical theatre to makeup design. However, the most important thing I learned at school was that my true passion is sharing my creativity with others through teaching. I have multiple years' experience as a vocal coach, piano accompanist, music director, and audition prep advisor. I also tutor young adults in the ACT and other high school subjects both in person and online, and have seen marked success in my students' test scores. Through my experiences in the theatre, I have also acquired skill in both theatrical and beauty makeup, and feel comfortable passing on this knowledge to others.

I would love to work with you on any of these skills at whatever level would serve you best.

I am a professional clarinetist and a certified music teacher for grades K-12. I graduated from The University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a Bachelor's of Music in Clarinet Performance and a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education. I am currently in Chicago studying with a clarinetist in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Teaching is one of my favorite parts of being involved in music. I love being able to share the joy of making music with my students. During lessons, we will work on all skills needed to be successful on the clarinet. This includes: reading music, having a good embouchure, correct hand position, proper breathing and air usage, good technique, and much more.

When I began taking lessons with Theresa, the intent was that it would be a temporary arrangement until I could find a new advanced instructor in the area. However, Theresa's young, fresh perspective and enthusiastic attitude towards learning turned out to be exactly what I needed, and I ended up staying with her for about three years. She's incredibly talented and empathetic, which makes being her student both fun and satisfying. She has high expectations and really pushed me to challenge myself, which ended up taking my skills to a level of proficiency that I hadn't expected. She also understands the difficulties and frustrations that come with being a student and is great at working through them. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a clarinet instructor, whether you just want to play and learn for fun, or if you really need and want someone that will push and challenge you to develop your skills. She's been my most influential instructor to date and I will always value everything she taught me!
