I have a broad understanding of music. I am well versed in saxophone, jazz, music theory, composition, and arranging. Aside from my experience in all these fields, I have a curriculum that offers students a skill tree. The skill tree both cleary documents what students has learned and what the next steps are in the student's path. This also gives students choices in their education. I am all about students being able to provide their own input into their education. My job is to set expectations and guide students through their musical path.

Hello, I'm Zach Tyler, a professional saxophone player, composer, and arranger. Right now I am offering lessons to anyone with a desire to begin or further their musical path. I am a huge believer in music being a core part of the human experience which is why I have cultivated a curriculum that w

Raycurt is not only knowledgeable, he is extremely skilled. He is thorough and maximizes time by providing superb instruction. My son looks forward to attending his classes; and I am a parent who is beyond pleased with Raycurt’s level of expertise.

This was a really unfortunate and wasted experience. Raycurt was wildly unprepared to teach. He brought a broken metronome and almost no sheet music/lesson plan. I had spoken both to the sales rep and Raycurt himself prior to the lesson and he was still fully unprepared.

I also explained my level of experience and was assured Raycurt was qualified to teach at the level I needed, but he came off as less knowledgable than me, which was particularly disappointing.

Worst of all, after multiple hours of speaking on the phone, I couldn't get my money back for this lesson.

I'd strongly recommend not using takelessons at all, they've put a horrible taste in my mouth for their entire service.

She has learned (through listening and patience) what I need to work on during the previous lessons and we're focusing on these issues during class. She's very knowledgeable and easily transfers that to me.

1st lesson went great! Ms. Depauw is knowledgeable with music theory, and techniques that I am using to help me re-learn sharps, this includes practicing scales (groan). I look forward to working with Ms. Depauw to help me improve my playing, and since I play for my Church, I know they will appreciate the lessons. LOL

About Trevor

Every musician was first and foremost a fan of music. My love of music began when my mother took me to a performance of Beethoven's fifth symphony when, coincidentally, I was five. From that point, I started fervently listening to my mother's records (those are the huge, black monstrosities th

What is my approach? First of all, I listen carefully, very carefully. I believe it is important for an excellent job to know precisely what my client wants to accomplish. Understanding this is the prerequisite to give good advice, guidance and then, of course, a plan, a kind of strategy to follow in order to reach these goals. There will be a permanent interaction between my client and myself to monitor the progress, eventually speed up the tempo or, if necessary, to slow down.
There is no dogma; there is only one main criterion: success.

About Wolfgang

My specialization is to prepare individuals for rigorous tests like the SAT I and II – German, AP German (Advanced Placement Test), and for the challenging German language admission test at universities in Germany. I spent two decades of my professional life teaching English in Germany, authoring

Our son truly enjoyed learning German with Wolfgang. "He creatively finds the way you learn and pinpoints that to make learning German a fun experience." He enjoyed learning about the culture (including food) and not just the language, as well as learning through games like "20 questions in German." He also appreciated Wolfgang's use of English examples to understand German when necessary. We will miss our time with Wolfgang
Alex
Wolfgang has a wealth of knowledge that he is able to teach in a simpler way to help me understand the language better. He goes at the pace I needed and stays on subject until I understand the topic. Highly recommend!!!

Wolfgang is an amazing, tutor, teacher and mentor. I’ve always had a desire to learn German and Wolfgang has fostered and great learning environment that has allowed me to continue to pursue my passion.
In my time with Wolfgang I have gained a greater appreciation for the German language, culture and idiosyncrasies. He has far-reaching expertise that goes beyond a text book. His linguistic knowledge will keep you on the right track and he will ensure you are having a fun time as well.
In the two years I have known Wolfgang he has been generous, challenging and a joy to be around and I look forward to each class.

I have been teaching private piano lessons in the East Valley for the past 6 years. I have experience with both the very young and very wise; brand new beginners and those with prior experience. Our goals are to develop a long lasting connection with piano by learning to set goals, problem solve, and build good practice habits. We will balance our study between theory, technic and artistry to become performers. I primarily teach classical piano, but am happy to branch out to pop and jazz with students after we have a strong foundation built up.
