Originally born in Germany, Chrissy developed a passion for music, language and teaching early on. Right out of High School she helped her mother, who was an educator at that time, write and stage-manage a children's Musical which found great response from the audience. During her Music studies in the Netherlands she was offered an internship at the local Music School which she gratefully accepted and where she enjoyed her first voice coaching experience. There she was also nominated as one of the most promising young singer/songwriters at the LUX Festival in Nijmegen. Over the years she was blessed with more and more private students in voice as well as piano. During her stay in New York she received the opportunity to work with a Broadway show ensemble ("Dreamgirls") as a Music Director on their different harmonic parts. She's proudly b
een a member of the Music of Oz Studio staff in Crown Point, Indiana since Jan. 2011 and is looking forward to teaching out of her home now as well. Chrissy is crazy about all her students and wants them to succeed! She's very much looking forward to working with you and having buckets of fun! :-)
In addition to teaching music, I have also worked as a special education assistant and wrestling/track coach at Lake Zurich Middle School South and an assistant Kung Fu/Tai Chi instructor at Green Mountain Arts in Logan Square, Chicago, Illinois. Jazz piano, Voice, and Composition are my main areas of expertise. However, I have also been recording, and playing guitar almost my entire life. I fully believe in music education not only for entertainment and personal enjoyment, but for many other means. Beyond its capacity for being used as entertainment, music aids in learning, helps develop advanced motor skills, increases memory function, and many other purposes for a well rounded education. It is my goal to help educate the next generation in traditional music practices as well as incorporate new techniques that are relevant to our
current day and age.
*** Lesson Details *** Lesson plans vary from person to person. I always make it a point to get to know the student's existing musical knowledge, goals, and background before I create a personalized lesson plan. All important concepts are covered as they are needed so students can understand theoretical concepts based upon actual application and usage. In short, I teach in a way that students can "dig in" right away and play, create, improvise, sing and/or compose freely and naturally. I always encourage students or parents to contact me with their goals, previous musical training, etc., and discuss what they really want out of lessons so they can get the most out of taking me on as an instructor.
*** Studio Equipment *** Acoustic and Electric piano, Digital Recording Studio, Extensive library and teaching resources
*** Specialties *** *Teachers marked as a Student Has taught a minimum of 25 lessons and has received the highest feedback rating from students.Jazz Piano, Composition, Choral
Daniel cancelled my son's first lesson with less than a one hour notice. He attended the second lesson, but again cancelled the third lesson with a 30 minute notice. He sent me a text message to notify me and I called him back and left a voicemail. 24 hours later and I still haven't gotten a call back. I want my money back. He has wasted my son's time. Poor professionalism.

Really enjoyed the first lesson. Daniel made it fun and im excited to learn more.
April 5, 2017
Daniel adapted throughout the course of the hour-long lesson to understand what I already knew and find appropriate ways to fill in the gaps of my knowledge. He also started me on the process of learning a new approach when looking at and learning to play new music pieces.
Dave K. began playing guitar at the age of 10. His influences include Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Guthrie Govan, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pat Martino, Pat Metheny and Scott Henderson. At the age of 17 he began teaching private guitar and bass lessons to classmates from his neighborhood high school. It was through this initial experience with teaching that he realized he wanted to make music education his career. Since then he has taught private guitar and bass lessons at Naperville Music, Rossi Music, Horizon Music, and the Plainfield School of Music. In addition, he has taught orchestra, guitar, and jazz band at Rolling Meadows High School. *** Lesson Details *** As a private music instructor for the past 15 years, I personally have been granted the opportunity to teach a wide variety of music students. I have taught students ranging in age from 6 to 65. I have taught students from various ethnic and economic backgrounds. I have taught students with various physical, emotional, and learning disabilities. Regardless of the situation, I have always approached each lesson with the idea that every student deserves my best efforts as a teacher. This is because I believe that everyone, regardless of age, cultural heritage, ability, or financial circumstance deserve the opportunity to participate in the best music experiences possible.
I believe that everyone has the ability to learn to play a musical instrument and achieve success on it if they possess the desire to do so. This is because music is a vital part of the human experience. Music has the ability to turn ordinary life experiences into extraordinary ones. Think of everyday events such as: waking up in the morning, commuting to and from work or school, going through the work or school day, going to dinner with a friend or loved one, going to a sporting event, watching a movie or television show, or working out at the gym. Now, picture what these everyday events would be like without the presence of music. Without music, these experiences would be extremely dull and we as human beings would not be able to full appreciate the wonderful moments in our lives.
As a music educator, my promise is to guide my students through the journey of learning to play music so they can experience the joy that it brings into their lives and the lives of others. I promise to help my students realize their full musical potential. I will always treat each student equally with fairness and respect, provide the best possible atmosphere for their growth, and recognize that each student is unique in how they learn and grow.

Excellent lesson. Does a wonderful job at taking older students and gently holding their feet to the fire to bring out the best- even under the most challenging of circumstances. Kudos to being such a uniquely great teacher!

I realize it was the first lesson but I was a little disappointed that we spend nearly the entire time on housekeeping items, like canceling and re-scheduling appointments. I think that could have been covered with an e-mail or handout. I also thought we spent too much time going over the differences between acoustic and electric guitars - considering my age and background. Would have liked to see him demonstrate what I was asked to practice before the next lesson instead of just being told to refer to the workbook.

Dave had a relaxed informative approach, a knowledgeable teacher who took his time with me, a real novice.
I enjoy sharing my love and passion for music with others! I have instructed privately for over 27 years. I have instructed in music store studios, my home studio, and in-home lessons. I have instructed in public, private and charter school systems; class room and privately. Besides performing, instruction (passing it on) is my passion. I have been performing professionally for over 35 years. I have toured nationally and internationally. I have been a full time self employed musician since 1987.
John is fantastic teacher and very knowledgeable about music. He has a great rapport with his students. My daughter is very enthusiastic about her drum lessons with John every week and always looks forward to it. I would highly recommend John to anyone interested in music lessons.
July 7, 2015
Not only is John an off-the-charts professional drummer, he's a fantastic human being as well! He loves music and it comes through in the lessons! In 35 years of playing and hanging around wannabees, John is the genuine musician! Anyone really wanting to learn correctly needs John. I recommend him 100%.
I have my bachelors degree in sacred music, my masters degree in music performance, and my doctorate in worship studies. I am an experienced music teacher with great interpersonal skills and enjoy creating a fun and meaningful learning environment for all ages of students. I teach music theory concepts as I teach music, and I also enjoy sharing the history of music and famous composers. Students should not just learn notes, but they should also learn about the wonderful story of music I have taught private clarinet, flute, saxophone, voice, and piano lessons for many years with great success. Many of my former students write to me periodically to tell me what they are doing in music. I look forward to working with many more students as we embark on the journey of learning music, pieces, history, and theory together. Students will look ba
ck and say they really enjoyed their lessons with me. I also have a background in teaching special needs children.
Paul has been very patient and wonderful with my 6 year old son who has just started lessons.
October 17, 2016
My first lesson was great. Mr. Paul was very patient and judged my skill level before making a lesson plan. Initially I was nervous, because I have never taken lessons before, but that quickly went away. I can definitely tell that he knows his stuff when it comes to teaching. He a great teacher and conversationalist.
September 15, 2016
Paul was very pleasant. He thoroughly explained things to my daughter in a manner that she could understand. He listened to her play and they also played together.
This was her first flute lesson with Paul, but she's already looking forward to the next lesson.
Mrs. Ada received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and Teaching from the Music College at Moscow State Conservatory.
She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Music Performance and Teaching from the Russian Gnesins’ Academy of Music.
Mrs. I has experience performing, teaching and conducting at various music schools and orchestras in Moscow and in the Chicago area. This includes positions at the Suzuki Academy in Chicago, Village Music Guild of Chicago, Walther Lutheran High School, Little Lambs Scholastic Academy in Chicago and Creative World Montessori School in LaGrange. Mrs. I is a member of the Illinois Music Association. She currently owns a music studio where she teaches private lessons in piano and stringed instruments.
Ada is wonderful! I took lessons with her for a while and I thought her teaching style was great. I felt like I learned a lot from her in a short time. I had to quit piano for a while as I'm too busy but when my kids get older I want to start up with her again. Currently my 5 year old daughter takes piano from her and loves her. Ada is a great combination of very kind, but also disciplined. My daughter looks forward to her lessons with Ada every week! I would recommend her highly!

My son has been taking lessons from Mrs Ada for two years. We really appreciate how she helps him excel and inspires him to do a piece well. He has also enjoyed the many opportunities to perform publicly. I would recommend Mrs Ada.

My daughter is 14yr old and is passionate about music. Finding Mrs. Ignatov has been a blessing. In the past year and a half, my daughter's technique (bowing, phrasing, intonation) has improved vastly under her instruction.
She cares about her students and wants them to achieve their goals/dreams. My daughter made the CYSO's Philharmonic Orchestra in her first year of auditioning, all thanks to the guidance of Mrs. Ignatov and her attentiveness to details!
If you or your child love music and wish to achieve your full potential, Mrs. Ignatov will help you get there.

Whether you dream is to sing in p
ublic or to make singing your lifelong career; I am the person who will help you elevate yourself. The students I will accept must be willing to commit to a minimum of 5 lessons.

LOVE Kiki! Couldn't ask for a better match. Just one lesson and I can hear the improvements. Excellent technique and fun instructions, can't wait for the next lesson.

"Mr. Gallo is an excellent instructor. He worked with my son to get to know where he was as a student and then created instruction based on that. He als

"Great instructor. Organised way of teaching. She makes learning easy. I like it."

I'm willing to bet that "playing like a girl" will stop being an insult within this little lady's lifetime! At just 8 years old, Lisa-X is able to play rapid fire metal solos that will melt your face off and blow your mind.
She's smaller than her guitar, but she sure knows how to make it sound big and mighty. Plus, the sweet grin she gives the camera as she's bending a note around 1:46? Priceless!
Child prodigies like Lisa are absolutely amazing, but there's really no wrong age to sta …
