*** Lesson Details *** I am a very fun loving person and believe in creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable to be themselves. At the same time I am a stickler for details and do not allow laziness. I believe a balance of fun with excellence has allowed my students to excel far beyond their own expectations. Good results takes HARD WORK! Please do not come to lessons with the expectation to sing like Beyoncé or play piano at Carnegie Hall after 4 lessons. Mastering your voice and instrument takes equal parts of time, hard work, dedication and patience.
My teaching style is individually based. For vocal clients, I asses their strengths and weaknesses and develop a plan to build up their weak areas while helping them find "their own voice". I focus on breathing, intonation and control which I believe are the foundation of great singing ability. I use a classical Italian based program along with pop, R&B, jazz, and rock. I have vocal coached in many languages including Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
For piano clients I focus on strength, dexterity and precision in fingering. I also help students learn to feel the music and bring their personality and touch to each piece they are performing.
*** Studio Equipment *** Tanisha currently teaches at her performing arts academy the White H Arts Academy. There are private instruction rooms and a lobby waiting area for parents and guests. Parents may also sit in the lesson room if desired. Private lesson rooms include a piano, speakers, and a music stand.
The White H Arts Academy also has two state of the art mirrored dance rooms with sound systems and wireless microphones for practicing stage performances or rehearsing for a big show.
*** Specialties *** Vocals: beg to adv Piano: beg to inter
Vocal genres are classical (opera), pop, R&B, gospel, rock, jazz, blues and musical theater. I studied voice at Berklee College of Music. Have also studied Seth Riggs SLS (Speech Level Singing) method independently, however, I am not certified. I also teach in languages other than English including Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
Piano instruction levels I teach are basic to intermediary focusing on classical, and general accompaniment abilities.
So far so good!! Tanisha was very helpful during my first lesson. Made me feel as if she has known me already. Very good at relating current events in your life to the actual coaching. Awesome!! Can't wait for my next lesson.

I pace our lessons and over explain a technic to make certain the client gets the concept in a HUMORFUL, JOYFUL way. Sara was wonderful. She taught me NVC framework that was very much helpful in sharing my feelings with another person. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve social communication skills. I am going to take her class again once my work has slowed down!

Sara Ann is amazing! I absolutely loved the lessons with her. She is definitely an expert. Not only she spotted all my bad habits with pronunciation and provided exercises and training to get rid of them, but she also made every lesson fun.
I had 4 lessons with her so far, now waiting for my last one. She asked me to tell her what I would like from her for my last lesson... honestly, I want her to keep doing what she's been doing - nothing different. I don't think a teacher can get any better than her!
Thanks, Sara Ann!

I solidified my theater acting muscles for 4 years before moving to LA in 2007 and worked on 2 films, Heist and Ingles Ya in addition to national commercials for Soapnet, Gaterade and Pepsi, just to name a few. My most recent film, Markham Tactical premiered on August 6th in Chicago and will be debuting on the festival circuit in 2016. I also made my TV show debut in 2010 on Chicago Code. I followed that up with appearances on Mob Doctor, Crisis, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Empire and Chicago Med. I enjoyed my session with Christian. He is fair and knowledgeable
August 20, 2017
Very knowledgable teacher! Christian is patient with me as a beginner and has a great teaching method whereby he never tells you exactly how to perform a piece, as that is not what acting is about.
April 17, 2017
I don't know about you (yes you, the one reading this), but I've been secretly wanting to act my whole life and am a full of life personality with hidden insecurities. Even though I have never really acted professionally, I have been theatrical and playing all sorts of characters, speaking in accents and dancing to everything in front of the mirror, in comfortable social gatherings and have even put on shows for my pets and husband! Last time I acted "professionally" was in a high school play. And even then, I mostly helped make the props!
I tell you this, because, with that kind of a background, nervous and yet SO excited to JUST TRY, I chose Christian as my teacher- my professor of Acting!
I am 3 classes in and Christian is very supportive, non-judgemental and extremely easy to learn with. I am impressed with his skills, his ability to immediately decipher something I'm trying to explain, and then how easy he makes it for me to put his constructive feedback into practice. The practice is not easy... because that stuff always takes hard work, but he explains it all so easily so I can start practicing and exploring the acting world. He is honest about the acting world, the people in it and the various steps it takes to get to wherever you are trying to get! So be honest with yourself and let this be an authentic and fun experience! Plus, it's so nice to talk to someone that actually gets what it's like to be dreaming!

From magic to music, and from theater to rock and Roll, Casey has done it all. For over 20 years, Casey has traveled the country performing for audiences from 1 to 20,000. He has a life-long history of experience with stage productions, live sound, and stage lighting. He has been an award-winning magician since he was the age of 7, and he has taught for over ten years.
Casey has an extensive magic "workshop" from which he teaches. He always keeps up-to-date with the new magic tricks, lectures, and trends. Casey can “perform” many of the current magic tricks on the market or on TV to help the st
udent decide the area in which he or she wants to focus.
Many elements make a good magician and a memorable magic show. Casey can help find the best ways to achieve the student’s goals in magic, all the way up to full-scale magic shows suitable for thousands.
For beginners, Casey can teach the fundamentals of magic, mentalism, sleight of hand, and any other form of magic, illusions, or trickery.
For intermediate students, Casey can do all of the above, as well as help shape and mold the student into the performer of his or her desires. Casey can teach advanced magic tricks, theater and live show "how to's," and much more.
Advanced students will appreciate the technical portion of Casey's background. He can teach all aspects of live sound and lighting, and work alongside an already seasoned performer to tweak specific “moves” or scripts.
Each student will progress at his or her own pace.
I've been dancing for 10 years and teaching for 3. I currently teach at 5 different studios and give regular private lessons to various students. I've taken workshops and classes from the best dancers in the industry today including Matt Steffanina, Marty Kudelka, Jaquel Knight, Ysabelle Capitule, Nick Demoura, and many more. Their credits include Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and the Step Up movies.
In my class, I'll give you a warm-up to understand the style of movements that are essential to Hip-Hop and then we'll jump right into my choreography going at whatever pace is comfortable for you. Once you're a regular student, I'll make unique routines to songs of your choosing with an emphasis on moves or styles that you like.
Jared did a great job of encouraging and empowering.

Jared did a fantastic job of being able to feel out my daughter's abilities and quickly help her gain the skills needed to perform the routine. He was friendly, personable and a great teacher! We would highly recommend!

Keomi is amazing. She is an excellent teacher: She can adapt to even the most beginner of students, gives great instructions/cues and is bright, fun, and positive all while remaining grounded with an eye for detail.
June 3, 2018
Keomi has a lot of positive energy and is sensitive to the the skill levels of her students so she tailors her classes to give just enough challenge while building on students’ strengths and experiences.
Keomi gives a great cardio workout where you really sweat yet the class is so fun that you don’t notice how hard you are working!
You WILL learn many classic hip hop moves which Keo strings together to make a sexy/cool but accessible choreography. You come out of class feeling blissed - both for the vigorous workout and for accomplishing the dance moves! This is a great class for all levels.
"I have already taken a lot of dance classes including Salsa, but only attending irregular group classes it was hard to retain the basics and my dancing go
t a little sloppy. Andrew got me up to date with basic fundamentals, all through this online course. I didn't have a lot of faith in the online format at first, but Andrew quickly gave me confidence he could teach me. He carefully observed each of my movements and was patient in helping me improve little by little. My girlfriend (who has a lot of salsa background and was embarrassed to dance with me prior to my classes with Andrew) noticed a huge improvement after I took just a few classes from Andrew. Thanks so much!"
"Da-Rell is amazing!!!!! The lesson was for my ten year old son and far exceeded our expectations. My son was so excited after his first lesson and he gave
it ten out of ten! Da-Rell has a very personal approach I can envision that he is an amazing teacher for anyone!"
"Tony is spectacular! She empowers me each time we work together!"
"One of the best teachers I have ever had! Chad creates an environment that makes you feel really comfortable with exploring yourself as an actor. Not to m
ention that fact that he is so kind and genuine. I know I will be forever grateful that our paths crossed!"
"I absolutely love Becca! She is so encouraging and knowledgeable. I recently got cast in a musical and I was pretty nervous. I found Rebecca and after our
first lesson I knew it was a great fit. She made me feel so comfortable and I think, we accomplished a lot in just the first lesson! I strongly recommend her to anyone who is either starting out or has some experience."
"He works very well with my child and goes into detail in all aspects."
"Dave is phenomenal, during lesson planning he was able to do what no ones been able to do for me—"
"Engaging, quick to follow up with notes. Looking forward to next lesson."
As with any profession, actors have tools. Just as a doctor needs a stethoscope or a fireman needs a hose, there are certain items an actor must keep in their toolbox. I usually start classes or lessons by asking my new students or clients what they think these tools might be. Sometimes, the answer is very literal ("Script!"), and other times abstract ("Passion!").
None of these is a wrong answer. Being an actor or artist is subjective and everyone's process is different and valid. But t …
