In my one hour of comprehensive teaching, students learn extensively the techniques of the violin, including tone production, vibrato, musicality and pieces of music which are chosen from standard violin literature or Suzuki books. The whole idea is to get students to look at the whole learning process as a fun activity, and very soon they acquire the ability to produce beautiful sounds, correct intonation and strong vibrato. In addition to the above, I conduct some some ear-training exercises to improve intonation as well.

He is very patient and has excellent communication skills. I have no knowledge of how to play the violin or music of any kind. After my first lesson I strongly feel he will be my private instructor for many years to come. I left with proper technique of how this instrument is to be cared for and good posture when practicing. He also informed me of the books we will be incorporating into my lessons. Most importantly homework is given and he is very patient and explains everything at your level.

I was very pleased with my first lesson with Nader. He is very kind and patient. We covered some basic points with what we'll be covering for my lessons with the cello. His instructions and explanations of technique is very clear I feel my lessons with him will be very beneficial and enjoyable.

Mr. Nader is an excellent instructor who always puts his students first. He customizes his lessons in accordance to each individual and patiently works with them so that they may achieve their optimum potential.

More than just a passive teacher of the violin, Mr. Nader dedicates his time and energy as a full time instructor of violin, cello, and music theory. Furthermore, Mr. Nader exhibits a level of knowledge, intellect, understanding, and culture rarely seen in the world today. When one walks into his music room, one will be struck with awe at not only the amount of books in Mr. Nader's library collection, but also the wide variety of subjects ranging from Music, Music History, Biographies, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, and many more. However, do not think that these books are just for display. Quite the contrary, one short conversation with Mr. Nader will show that he is well versed in all these subjects; a modern incarnation of the Renaissance polymath. Building off of his broad knowledge base, Mr. Nader not only teaches one how to play an instrument, he also teaches one how to cultivate oneself in Music and the culture from which it originates.

With a passion for Music and a yearn to pass on higher culture to the avid learner, Mr. Nader is the best instructor for all those who wish to learn Music along with its connection to the history, society, and culture from which it springs.

Enjoyment and engagement precede technical study— always!

Why are you drawn to this instrument, piece of music, or performance situation? We will study all of the things you’d expect: scales, exercises, études, and repertoire. But I like to think I add more value than the notes on the page. And learning to play an instrument is all about reflecting your joy of playing it to the world! Precision is necessary but first is passion. This is why we always begin with enjoyment and engagement.

I consider the whole person I am teaching. I like to approach playing any musical instrument with the whole mind and body. You’ll learn how to most naturally hold and play your instrument with as much ease as if you were simply walking down the street. Only with ease can we play these instruments for life!

Laura taught my daughters violin while she lived in Springboro.

Lillian went on to perform with the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Strings and Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. The structure and love for music brought to her via Laura overcame a bit too much rigor from an earlier piano teacher. Lillian went one to play violin, piano, viola, alto & bari saxophone, synthesizer, and eventually bass guitar. She also became the Drum Major/Field Commander for the Springboro Marching Band. She also performed with the Xavier University Singers while studying bio-physics. Why the long review you may ask? It was Laura who changed the path via lessons and through violin that continues a love of playing to this day.

Rebecca too followed the same path and same instruments adding marimba to her repertoire. She too was Drum Major but has sadly since lost some of her love of performing. She started with the same piano teacher and might have stopped entirely if not for Laura.
Lillian
I had Laura many years ago as a violin teacher. She was so patient and understanding in her teaching. I had her during my early years so I can’t remember everything but I do remember her fostering and nourishing my love for music. She is skilled with teaching young kids, and I’m sure she is just as skilled with older kids as well. I would definitely recommend receiving lessons from her!

My son has been taking lessons from Connie and we love having her as his teacher! She helps him with his confidence playing solo and also working through school orchestra music... he’s now one of the more advanced in his group! Connie focuses on the details to set up a good foundation and has been great helping him with some bad habits he devolved years ago. She has lots of experience with every age group and teaches all the way through very advanced level. Thankful she came recommended to us!

She's very good. Very patient and clear. She'll tailor the lessons to your level of understanding. I'm an older adult learner with no musical knowledge at all and am learning fast thanks to her. I look forward to continuing my lessons.
