Abstract Painting Lessons in Marseilles. Amazing Teachers.

I introduce a fun and expressive experience, along with a mix of traditional and abstract practice. Classes are for all levels of abilities, provided with materials for the first three classes. I will go through a step by step process of many techniques and show how to view your subjects at a more abstract form. I will be showing all of skills that i incorporate into my own work and share it with others.

In our lessons, you will paint from life, exploring composition, concept, and mood through creative assignments. You will train your eye as you paint still lives, landscapes, portraits, figures, abstractions, and beyond! I will show you examples of historical and contemporary painting as we practice a range of techniques. You will gain confidence through practice and experimentation as you work towards developing your own style as an artist! And most importantly, you’ll have fun! I can’t wait to work with you!

I have been teaching for the last 15 years at my home studio. I teach drawing and painting (art). Lessons include Pencil shading, Portraits, Acrylic colors, pencil colors, oil painting, mural painting, warli, abstract work, etc.

Abstract art can be one of the most beautiful, and also one of the most intimidating to create. Don't be afraid! Abstract art is one of my personal favorites to create, and I will help show you how easy it can be once you know the basics. We'll go step by step through what makes a great abstract piece, and how you can get there. It takes some practice but before long you'll be making abstract pieces that are a joy to create. Let's get started!

Gesture, Expression and Experiment are my tools. I combination with an education in materials and the willingness to keep playing we end up confidently creating image. It is impossible to get anything done in an hour so try to find a way to book a longer time. Materials are somewhat included as I always have things but do contribute with art supplies, paper, found things. It's not necessary to spend a lot of money at the art supply store, just keep your eyes open at garage sales, etc and your store of materials will accumulate.

I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching drawing and painting in university and college.
I cover realistic style to abstract art with watercolor, oil, or acrylic. Also, you will learn a variety of techniques like glazing, impasto, and alla prima. subject matter can start with still life and continue architecture, landscape, and figurative art.
