Lon is extremely talented, patient and thorough. He can teach absolute beginners (such as I) very well, and makes you practice till you're confident with the notes. In the meantime, he encourages you even when you think you're getting nowhere with a new, baffling instrument. He is flexible and accommodates schedule changes as needed.

I can already sense that my boys are going to have a great learning experience with Isaiah. He caught on to each child’s strengths and areas of growth in the content as well as behavioral differences. He adjusted to each one fluidly and took the time to debrief after the lesson. I’m looking forward to continuing this relationship.

Have loved every lesson, and feel like I've improved significantly. Definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to learn saxophone, or how to be a jazz musician.

Ask any musician, and they will tell you that making the choice to invest in a private music instructor is a critical step in growth and development--no matter the individual's age or experience level. When you're devoting time and energy into bettering yourself, you want to know that you're learning from a friendly, accessible, and most of all qualified, teacher. Dr. Tammy Y. is all of these things and much more.

Dr. Tammy Y. never failed to challenge me in the pieces she assigned, never failed to help me prepare to my very best ability for auditions or recitals, and never failed to give her honest and helpful critique and advice to help me advance as a flutist.

To anyone looking for a private flute instructor, I would recommend highly, wholeheartedly, and very enthusiastically to learn from this amazing teacher and performer. "I was fortunate enough to have Jeremy as an instructor in my first year of high school. He helped tremendously with my tone and with my understanding of the flute itself by helping me with harmonics. He provided new warm ups and exercises designed to help me improve in areas in which I was lacking. In time, I went on to be first chair on my high school's marching band and wind ensemble. Years later, I still have notes and exercises from our lessons and use them when I practise. Not only do I recommend Jeremy for the excellent job he does as a flute instructor, but also because he's friendly, great to be around, and really makes you look forward to the next lesson."
