I’m a professional improviser! Was trained and worked with “The Second City” and teach improv classes to kids! I still do multiple improv shows a week and still write sketch comedy! In my lessons you’ll learn the basics such as “yes, and”, playing games with partners, showing locations and relationships, as well as object work and comedic timing! While acting is a magnificent art, it is also a labyrinth of techniques and ideologies. Throughout time there have been many disagreements about the best way to approach the teaching of acting, but I believe that no matter which way you enter the maze, we are all moving towards the same goal; that is to live truthfully in imaginary circumstances. The craft of acting can falter into a personal nature, however there are common terms and tools that can be learned to aid in achieving the universal goal that is set in front of us. I therefore am bound to teach and specify the rudimentary tools that I have come to consider profoundly vital to the integrity of any serious actor, many of which are drastically overlooked by most.
In An Actor Prepares Stanislavski writes, “… A nagging critic can drive an actor mad and reduce him to a state of helplessness. Search for falseness only so far as it helps you to find truth. Don’t forget that the carping critic can create more falsehood on ...

I look forward to helping you discover your stronger, clearer, more expressive speaking voice. We'll create an individualized plan based on your goals and needs. Do you need to build confidence and beat stress? Would you like to speak with greater resonance, volume, clarity, pronunciation, stamina, and/or technique? In my studio, students learn with an emphasis on action and experimentation, rather than imitation. This is especially helpful for people who have tried repetition or ear training and want to do something different. It's also especially useful for those who rely on a strong and healthy voice for their profession. In addition to speaking technique, we work on breathing, movement, and posture as essential companions to a rich vocal life. I'm here to help you discover and embody your own special, powerful voice!
If conventional approaches to improving your speaking voice aren't working for you, I can help. A teacher since 1999, I draw on a wide range of experiences and techniques. I can work with you to create an easy, enjoyable plan.I've worked with children, high school/college students, professional act

We all have our favorite actors – from the captivating smile of Julia Roberts to Leonardo DiCaprio’s boyish charm – but looks aside, there's plenty that goes into sustaining a successful career as an actor amid a sea of driven competitors. If you’re a budding actor, dreaming about moving to LA for your big silver screen break, spending Friday night in watching reruns of your favorite movies may not be as couch-potato-ish as it sounds. In fact, studying the performances of your favorite a …
