I have been playing guitar for over a decade and have tons of performance experience gigging in a local rock band. Combine that with a curriculum that starts with fundamentals and expands quickly into playing your favorite songs and you have a great start to beginning or expanding your guitar playing abilities.

Currently, I have been playing various community theater gigs across the northwest suburbs in Chicago. I own my own home studio and I think it's important to learn fundamentals in technique and music theory but if all you want to do is rock, I'm fine with that.

I tailor all my lessons to the individual students interests and wants.

Teaching Style
I believe first and foremost in supporting and developing what musically inspires a student’s decision to study and play music. In order to fully develop control, musicality and understanding of the music language, it is important to focus on several components including music theory (scale and harmonic structure/function and rhythm), style, ear-training, reading and performance skills.

Expectations of Students
Like any aspect of life, consistency and patience are two very important qualities to posses when working towards a goal. The duration of each practice session is proportional to the level of the student. Learning how to practice efficiently with your instrument is key for adherence and success in obtaining your goals.

Learned in acoustic, electric and bass guitar, I teach students of all ages and find ways to make lessons entertaining while also being educational incorporating both technique and theory into lessons. I'll work directly with you to develop a curriculum that will achieve your musical goals.
