Playing the piano or keyboards is about more than boring piano lessons, it’s about skills you can use in real life.
1. Learning to Play Notes. It’s what piano lessons have always been about. And sure we’ll do it. But unless you are preparing to go to college and major in piano, it’s doubtful it’s all you need to know.
2. Learning to Play Charts. THIS is what you probably need to know most to be a successful and fulfilled piano or keyboard player. Maybe you want to play in a band, or at church, or just jam with friends. Knowing how to read music charts will give you the ability to play along with any kind of music in any situation. You’ll learn how to improvise both chords and rhythm.
3. What Do You Want to Play? Why just play what others want you play? Or play notes anyone could learn how to play? We’ll talk about what you want to play whether it’s your own music, or the latest Ed Sheehan tune.

I have been teaching Voice and Singing Lessons for 10 years and have performed in many different styles and venues. I instruct students from a classical style of singing to Broadway and Pop styles. I approach lessons from a classical and safe manner and help coach the student in ear training, and proper singing methods to protect the throat and vocal chords. I adjust my methods to each student to make a truly individualized experience for each singer. I plan professional student shows though out the year to give each student a practical application to their instruction!
