About Daniel

I love teaching, I can teach you at where you at and take you where you need to be. I only need a student with the desire to learn and to practice.

Lessons may cover: Basic techniques. Designing your composition. Mixing vibrant colors. Wet-on-wet. Loose watercolors. Dry brush. Round brush. Flat brush. Textures--using salt, dabbing, scratching, lifting, etc. Light source. Loosening up. Glazing. Stretching paper. Taking care of brushes. Paint selection. Painting outdoors in the open air, from photographs, or from still lifes. Using your phone to help you edit your painting. All levels--from beginner to advanced. Demonstrations on cresting watercolors in the style of famous watercolorists. From beginning to advanced.
Additionally, you can schedule a lesson and let me know that you want to use it as a critique to review some of your work. I recommend the 45 minute session for a critique.

About Jane

I LOVE teaching. I'm an award-winning artist and I've taught watercolor & drawing for 20+ years. I've taught students of all ages from the US & Italy. I've taught at Cleveland Botanical Garden, Missouri Botanical Garden, Illinois Central College, in churches, libraries, home schools, & at Harvard University Extension School, Cambridge, MA. We will paint or draw what appeals to YOU...from oceans to flowers to abstracts to landscapes to seascapes, etc. --or we can focus on one technique that interests you or "the basics."

Some of my students are now professional artists & some have become art teachers. The materials can be simple. For drawing, we’ll use drawing tools (pencils, charcoal, etc) a great eraser, & paper. For watercolor painting, we'll use a couple of good quality brushes, about 6 paint colors, watercolor paper, water and a

palette. Ta-Da! You’re ready to go. (I’ll provide a detailed supply list for enrolled students.)

Whether you are wanting to learn how to paint using acrylic paints because it is something you have always wanted to learn or you are looking to learn new techniques, I am here to guide you! Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be painting in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of color theory, drawing techniques, hand sight coordination techniques, and more. I have been painting for over fifthteen years in a variety of scales including large murals to small canvases. I am as eager to share basic to advance techniques as you are to learn. Self expression and painting techniques are a tool nobody can take from you once you have learned and embraced the art of painting. I have a degree in Art Practice from UC Berkeley and have taught 2nd grade students and adults as well. Let's get painting!

About Belinda

I am a professional working artist and I am also a site coordinator for an Expanded Learning program here in Riverside. I obtained a degree in Art Practice from UC Berkeley where I specialized in multimedia installations that included large scale paintings, sculptures, and original music/audio. Due to the versatility in my own work from large to very small scale paintings I have acquired techniques and skills for every scale in between.
I am a strong believer in self expression and visual literacy which gets stronger with the formulation of concepts one builds through inspiration for each painting. I enjoy teaching and learning what my students' interests are and what motivates them. I can help you learn specific skills for abstract paintings to detailed portraits.
Through research I have also learned that individua

ls benefit greatly from creative freedom thus performing better in other academic subjects, learning healthy ways of expression, and mentally feel fulfilled through the therapeutic effects of painting.
If you are looking to work with someone who loves what they do, who is patient, motivational, and can teach you basic to advanced skills in painting, drawing, music, and Spanish send me a message and we can begin your learning journey!

The first lesson went very well with my daughter. Belinda was methodical in her teaching and approached the lesson with my daughter’s interest in mind. During the lesson, Belinda was able to actively engage my daughter the whole time, and more importantly, her teaching revived my daughter’s interest in drawing. She has already devised future plans to have my daughter practice sketching noses, eyes, and ears so that my daughter may draw the human face later with more realistic details.

About David

Dedicated art professional with 18 years of experience in creating artwork utilizing various medias. In my early years I worked as an outsider artist giving watercolor lessons for Susan Edwards of the artist place called "The Art Attack in Sycamore Illinois. After some years of painting and displaying my work at outdoor art shows and inside some stores i went to Northern Illinois University and obtained my Bachelor of Fine Art in painting. I have joined art leagues and art guilds near where I live. I recommend the Kishwaukee Valley Art League and the Rockford Art guild. There i learned how to reach children and adults on how to get interested in painting. Strong competency in teaching and leading aspiring artists in group or individualized settings. In order to become a better artist you learn by drawing in a sketchbook from photos i

will assign every two weeks. If you think they are good then you will redraw them in a journal. We will critique them by email and make wonderful discoveries on how you are getting very good at becoming an artist.

Inside my art studio I have had artists stick to my belief that a sketchbook and a journal with pencils is the best way to improve.

Happy Drawing and remember my favorite words "Just Paint"!

I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching drawing and painting in university and college.
I cover realistic style to abstract art with watercolor, oil, or acrylic. Also, you will learn a variety of techniques like glazing, impasto, and alla prima. subject matter can start with still life and continue architecture, landscape, and figurative art.

About Roya

My name is Roya. I am a professional artist and educator, and I’m a professor in painting and drawing. It would be my pleasure to teach you painting or drawing. Over the last 10 years, I have taught painting and drawing, including figure drawing and painting courses in universities and colleges.

I’m using 2 different teaching strategy based on my students interest.

In the first plan, I start to teach from basic to advanced technique; my goal at the beginning stage is to provide students with enough skills and technique that they can skillfully begin making art from 3- dimensional sources, not just copying from other arts.

In the second path, I start teaching any subject or technique that my student prefer like pastel landscape or oil painting portrait.

I teach a variety of technique, medium and styles from realistic to abstract

, or any style that you prefer

I have been teaching professionally for more than 10 years. I can teach a total beginner and I can guarantee the profound change in his skill level (regardless of his age), after 2 months of the attentive following of my instructions. I like to watch the progress of my student and this is what brings me the best satisfaction in my occupation.
I think that every human being is unique with his own unique way of thinking and perception of the common things. When teaching, I believe in dialogue, for this reason, I never record my lessons on video, except for the promotional needs. I like to meet new students, to understand their way of thinking and to invent the individual teaching approach or methodology for each one of them.

About Danil

I am an academically trained professional artist with the overall working experience of about 20 years and an impressive record of exhibitions (two of them are museum one-man shows) in the USA and abroad.
I am teaching in three languages: ENGLISH, HEBREW and RUSSIAN, representational, realist, impressionist/post-impressionist, expressionist (Fauvism and Expressionism) and abstract painting and drawing with the emphasis on European tradition.
I am working and teaching in different mediums, like charcoal, graphite, acrylic, oil, watercolour and soft/oil pastels.
I have a Russian classic art education, MFA from Pratt Institute (Painting /Drawing) and about 15 years of teaching experience.
Currently, I am working as a commissioned portrait artist and also performing on stage with some well-known musicians as a multimedia artist and re

al-time digital painter.
As an art educator, I specialize in students of different ages and skill levels. I have developed a methodology for teaching the beginners of pre-pension or relatively late age. I believe in dialogue in education and for this reason, I never record my lessons, except for the promotional purposes. I teach online, in my studio or at a student’s home.

I was very lucky to take private lessons with Danil - after only a few of them I had a clear systematic approach to my drawing process. I very much appreciate analytical way of work in art, and that’s what Danil was doing greatly : he sharpens the tools while keeping your individuality. Highly recommended!

Did you ever want to learn art from a professional? what about someone who's worked at pixar? an animation studio? freelanced? i did it all.

As an illustrator it's my job to figure out multiple concepts for one idea. As a teacher, i like to believe that there's more than one day of doing something. With my one on one lesson plan and schedule, i cater everything to my student's specific needs. Most teachers do things strictly out of the book but then you don't share your wisdom, personal experience or technique that's involved. i stepped out of the illustration industry to continue a life of teaching. i want share my knowledge with the future generation of artists and help them grow to understand why they love to do art.

About Tony

Would you want to learn art by the book or, would you want to learn from someone who has experience being where you are to being a professional making it his life goal?

I'm here to share my personal experience and knowledge with you as an artist. i started going to art high school, college and then working in art part time professional until i realized my real passion is teaching.
