I have been teaching Theory as part of the lessons for over 23 years.
Theory is the analysis of what is behind the music.
I always include Theory in the lessons to help the students understand their music.

My daughters had their first piano lesson today with Terri. I can honestly say that I’ve never met anyone so patient and sweet natured and professional like Terri. The first time I spoke to her on the phone reflected her nature in person. Shes very knowledgeable with the piano music. She knows how to level herself with my 7 year old and specially with my know it all 5 year old. After the lessons she updated me with their progress and commented on my kids strengths and weaknesses. She just didn’t talk to me as her client but she talked to me like a friend. Her smile radiated through the music she teaches. We all loved her.

Good habits and an excellent attitude make great cellists. It doesn't hurt to love music too. I love music and I love to share my passion with my students.

Having a teacher who is an experienced performer is an important quality in a teacher. I am a professional classical musician currently working as a freelance cellist in the Chicago area. I play with Chicago Philharmonic, the Northbrook Symphony, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Northwest Indiana Symphony, among others. Before coming to Chicago I played for 13 seasons with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

I have taught privately for over 10 years including 2 years in Paris. My teaching is a reflection of my teacher, Phillippe Muller. I studied with Msr. Muller while studying at the Paris Conservatory. Msr. Muller is currently a Professor of Cello at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.

About Wei

Even though I have been teaching and performing on the cello for most of my life, it's not all there is to who I am. I am a chef (almost--12 weeks to go), a mom, a wife. I have a cute little Tibetan Terrier that loves visitors. My husband and I love hiking in beautiful places. Studying with m

She asked me what I wanted to learn and assisted me in a very patient way, and showed me the correct way of strumming and whatever else that was needed. A very good start.

Felicia is a great teacher! We work well together, she asks how I want to learn and she helps me to understand what I’m learning! As an adult learner, it helps that she can modify my lesson to suit my specific needs. I think this will be a great partnership!!
Autumn
Felicia has truly helped me improve on the viola. From spotting my wrong bow hold to making sure that I am absolutely positive on where the fingerings are for the key, she has most definetly improved my playing over all and is helping me advance past most of my peers in my school orchestra.

Emma is a great and patient acting teacher. While my other teachers rarely dived into my characters' objectives, Emma never fails to work with me on character development, script analysis, projection, breathing, and stage presence. I learned so much from her, I recommend her for everyone.

In my 27 years of piano playing, I've been using synthesizers for 17 years.

I build all of my own synth sounds, but I can teach how to use and manipulate presets.

I can teach many different things about synths such as:
building patches, building sounds that sounds like popular sounds in popular music, differences in synths, pads vs. leads vs. sound fx, routing, analog synths vs. digital synths vs. software synths, and the list goes on.

About A.J.

A.J. Vincent has been playing keyboards for 27 years, he has been singing for 12 years, and he has been working in the music industry as a professional performer for 15 years. I enjoy trying to make a connection on your level. We all come from different backgrounds but teaching and learning music is just like learning a language.

Interested in creating a natural feel and sound on whatever instrument you play? Improving your technique? 4 mallet marimba? Drumset?

For the better part of my adult life I have been performing and teaching classical contemporary music. Although I am well versed in the traditional repertoire of classical percussion (orchestral and contemporary chamber music/solo), my heart is first and foremost a performer. If you are looking to become creative musician who enjoys a challenge and likes to find creative solutions to skill-building, let me know! I'm sure I can help and would love to work with you!

"I started my violin lessons with Brian during my sophomore year of high school and continued with him through my senior year. He immediately began working with me on the music I had received from being in the Capital High School Orchestra. Throughout my years with Brian, we worked on perfecting many solos, creating beautiful ensembles, and enhancing my knowledge of music theory. Brian provided me a perfect transition as I moved from playing in high school orchestra to making music in my personal life. Whether you an absolute beginner or have been playing for years, I would absolutely recommend taking lessons from Brian! He is an amazing teacher, working with you every step of the way in pursuing your dreams in music, whatever they might be."

Our lessons are filled with hard work, laughter and fostering a deeper connection to the music, and to myself as Fawn has taught me to navigate and "be my own boss".
