Dance culture has a tendency to be exclusive. But why? Everyone can dance, and everyone can learn to dance - we just need to know how our bodies are meant to move and what they are capable of doing! Dance is an art form whose pedagogy is passed down from teacher to teacher. As studies of biomechanics and kinesiology evolve, so should the approach to teaching dance. We know that not every “body” looks, moves or is built the same. With new developments in science, we can now teach dance with a more biomechanically safe method that allows the art form to be more accessible to all bodies. Not only will this allow accessibility to all dancers but also provides longevity to dancers.

I offer lessons that are designed to be achievable by any and every body - from non-dancers, to advanced dancers. The lessons are taught through a biomechanical approach that allows for accommodations and safe execution for all bodies and structural limitations while still staying true to the aesthetic of the ...

I'm extremely new to ballet and dance in general (for reference I'm 16). Briana was very patient and an amazing teacher! Very friendly and welcoming while still being very professional. It's great to get the exact corrections I need without feeling bad about it and yet still work on it until proper. Very happy and pleased!

I got my start in dance at the age of three and was classically trained in a dance school as well as in my academic school. I had my first choreography project in high school and immediately fell in love with the ability to create a story through movement. For some extra training and exposure, I began to teach at a separate dance school in addition to my high school team and my dance school I had been competing with since first starting my career. While I’m college, although I did not major in dance, I joined a semi professional company that allowed me to continue my art along with my studies and used it as an avenue for expression and self exploration. After a 20 year career, I so look forward to giving you/your children the gift that has continued to give to me for so many years.

My love for dance grows far beyond my 20 years in the field, it has become apart of who I am and look forward to sharing that with you in a unique and exciting way! "My 12 y.o. daughter has been taking private lessons with Briana. My daughter has no prior experience but would like to join a group class some day and Briana has been great coming up with an appropriate lesson plan and providing a foundation to start with so she will be comfortable joining a group class as well. Briana is very enthusiastic and my daughter has really enjoyed the classes. I can tell she has learned a lot & will benefit a great deal from these lessons. We definitely plan to continue the lessons and I highly recommend Briana to anyone seeking dance lessons."
