I can't say enough good things about Earl's instruction. He's extremely knowledgeable and talented and yet responsive, inspiring, and kind. Rather than applying a narrow and rigid approach to teaching, lessons are built around my abilities and interests and he has taught me new ways of looking at music and playing guitar. I feel very fortunate to be one of his students.

Attacking the students aspirations and goals of their personal requests to the trainer, and getting to know the client and where they would like to see themselves in a limited time of training so the clients money and time isn't left in the mud! We will play and organize our curriculum through music and melody, with a counted rhythm to the beat we are attacking. Listening to our favorite songs is a good way to learn how to play an instrument, it gives a familiar count and sound that we can connect to! Music is simple but fun so our sessions will always revolve around repetitive lessons ,BPM , counting, rhythm, and listening to many many songs and playing them!

My first lesson with Zach was great! 5 stars. He asked the right questions as to what aI am looking to do. And we quickly came up with a lesson plan that with the right amount of work in my part will get me headed in the right direction. Zach does a great job of making his students feel comfortable and good about their abilities.

It took me a long, long time to finally find a good vocal teacher who actually knows how to teach voice! Dan Gardner is not only versed in multiple styles of singing, but he is proficient in a number of voice techniques that other teachers simply don't know how to teach; like, how to breathe and support so you don't go off tune. You'll hear a lot of stuff that physiologically does not make sense, like "breathe into your stomach"; OR they ask you to do things, without explaining how to do them, like "relax", or "you need to take enough breath before you sing a long note", or "moving from head to chest voice smoothly comes with practice", but don't actually give you exercises that would let you accomplish that,, etc, etc..
Instead, Dan Gardner has developed methods of range expansion, breathing, support, relaxation, using mixed voice, projection, voice rounding that actually WORK... Whichever level you are at with your singing, Dan Gardner will definitely make your singing better... Consistency with your lessons will pay off... Not only do I like my voice much better now, but other professional singers also noticed the wonderful change... It took me a couple of decades to find a voice teacher who would make a difference in my training and move me to a different level. I have been working with Dan Gardner for 5 years now... The difference between the sound of my voice in my first lesson and my voice now is like the difference between 2 different individuals... Even the timbre of my voice changed... Can't say enough about how great of a teacher and a person Dan Gardner is...
Damien
I loved working with him, I went from tone deaf to singing better than most of my friends. Before I started doing lessons with him, everyone was trying to help me learn how to diaphragmatically breath and no one could. After only two lessons with Dan I was instantly able to do it. I highly recommend him! Progression is pretty quick and he works with you in different ways until you're able to understand what he's trying to teach you.
Jill
Dan is AMAZING! I had 20 sessions with Dan and from day one he was not only coaching me on breath and opening up the throat but also how to feel the song and know what your story is in each song to relate to your audience. When people ask me about Dan I say he was not only my voice coach but my therapist! ;) I have grown so much through this process, not only as a vocalist but as a human. Most of singing is confidence in your ablility. Period. Dan has a strict but gentle approach to his teaching and is not afraid to make corrections so that you can build that confidence! I never knew I could do so much with my voice and I am very grateful to Dan. I look forward to showing the world my talent.

"I studied under Jordan when he was a TA at SDSU. He was laid back, easy to get along with, and always helpful when I had questions for him.
Since then, I've had the pleasure of performing in SDSU ensembles with Jordan. I mean it when I say it: Jordan is not only one of the best music teachers in San Diego, but he is also one of the best trombone players I've ever had the pleasure of knowing."

"My son takes beginning band with Nick. This group of very young players is learning how to hear a piece of music, break it down, play it together, and make it their own. Along the way, Mr. Nick teaches them theory, technique, and joy in playing music. Nick has the patience of a saint. His expertise is in guitar and banjo, but he knows his way around the whole band, and can teach rhythm and technique on a wide range of instruments. I highly recommend. Note, we’ve done lessons both on line and in person. Both were good."

"Danny has helped me get comfortable on stage. I always had a fear of talking to my audience in between sets. I get so nervous. Not anymore. So going in for voice and learning how to use a the microphone but also the icing of knowing what to say. I am not perfect now, but not a horrifying mess like I was. Now I can at least speak and feel relaxed. Simplicity singing lessons that f work. :)"

"I have taken lessons from Dr. Serna for bass viol for three years. First in my home, then on-line due to Corona virus restrictions. I appreciate Dr. Serna's extensive education, which presents during our lesson in a variety of ways. First, in his knowledge of repertoire for the instrument. He is undaunted by any piece in inquire about. Second, he discusses music theory when teaching a piece of music, which strengthens my understanding. Third, he has played multiple instruments, including classical guitar. As I also played classical guitar, this has provided some creative and enjoyable synergy. He also pulls from his double bass technique to assist with teaching the bass viol. Fourth, he is keenly observant and notices subtle position faults, etc., even over Zoom calls! Amazing! Finally, he is patient and takes the long view in teaching the student. He is able to notice what is good/improving even when I am struggling with something. His lessons are light-hearted and positive."

"I feel so honored to speak on the behalf of Christine, she has truly helped me with my own small business. I'm a professional real estate agent that enjoyed good old fashion family fun, which includes karaoke. I was never a singer, but always enjoyed singing. I figured it was worth an effort to take a few lessons with Christine and see if I liked it. Well, I loved it!

I've been enjoying music and singing every since I started taking lessons with Ms. Christine. I now give monthly dances and include karaoke with prizes; I'm a featured singer/host and it's been WONDERFUL. Never would have thought voice lessons could bring so much meaning to my life. Forever grateful. Thanks so very much :)"
