These days it's rare to find someone who is as dedicated to their students as they are to there work. I was blessed to have Anita as an instructor. Not only is she knowledgeable and passionate about her craft she is also an active practitioner. Anita brough current and relevant experience to her classes and uses her talent to bring true value to the live of those she teaches. I can tell she was attentive to, and invested in my understanding and success. This is the one, you wont find one better.

Carolyn has and is exactly what I was looking for in a voice coach. Like me, her interests in the performing arts are broad. I felt both excited and comfortable with her. She is professional and easy to talk to. I can sense strongly that Carolyn is full of love and compassion. I am so excited for the next lesson! Here's to the new horizon and everything in between! :) Thank you Carolyn for reassuring me that my decision to switch careers was a wise decision indeed. Dance forward.

I've been teaching Acting for 8 years professionally and my students have gone on to be lead roles in feature films, supporting roles in feature films, and cast in stage plays. I am a very hands on teacher. I like to get into the character with the actor. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to dissect and embody a character and as time goes on you'll be able to perform two one-minute monologues for a TV/Film agent. If you already have an agent you will be coached for auditions. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About LaMarcus

LaMarcus has been teaching private lessons since 2010 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home, at his home, and online. LaMarcus has helped students learn skills in film/tv acting, Producing there own films & directing movies. He is best known for his roles as teenage football star

Mr. T. walked me through a step by step process of creating and producing a film. He did a deep dive into not only each stage but the physiological aspect of the filmmaking process. I highly recommended.

Mr. Tinker is an incredible instructor. He not only provided me insight on different techniques but he gave me confidence to believe in myself. I highly recommend you work with Mr. Tinker.
Emily
DON’T EVER loan LaMarcus Tinker money or invest in his productions as you will never get it back. I loaned him money to put in escrow for a named actor for a film he was producing. Mr. Tinker not only didn’t pay the money back per our contract, he used some of the money for “other things” even though the loan was specifically and only for escrow. Mr. Tinker never communicated to me that the money would be used for something other than what was agreed and never informed me I would not be paid back as per the contract. It wasn’t until I kept pushing him for the money that he admitted he didn’t have it. Several people invested in this production and not one investor has been paid back nor has he informed the investors that he is no longer producing the film. In fact, as of Feb, 2021 he advised some investors that things were proceeding as planned and he was trying to secure actors. This is a complete lie!

I have taught and directed for 30 years in NY and DC. From lesson 1, students engage with a dynamic approach to acting through Meisner-based improv. During the 1st 12 weeks, we go from basic truthful acting to dynamic scene work, followed by 12 weeks of in-depth scene study, then extensive character training and in-depth film and audition technique. My students are successful in film, theater, commercials and TV in DC, NY and LA.

About Robert

I have taught acting for over 30 years based in the Meisner Technique, and I write and direct my own plays and films. I have years of experience as an actor, jazz saxophone player, singer and poet, as well as a philosophy degree, which I bring to my understanding of acting. I use this rich backgro

"Rebecca has been the most helpful coach I have ever worked with! Some of what she has guided me in was tricky to do online but she always finds a way to make activities work. It is a fun class, and I can tell my skills are growing a lot from working with her.

We've been doing a lot of work on accent training that is going well as she can pick up on things I didn't know existed; as well as helping me work through the little things you wouldn't think about in commercial and monologue work; as well as basic concepts that I needed more practice in.
All around great instruction."

"Gina is extremely knowledgeable in her craft. I took a wide variety of acting classes taught by her over the span of three years when I was in college, and they are among the most beneficial classes I've had the opportunity to take. She is very clear in her teaching, focusing not only on acting technique, but going through all the survival skills she has accumulated throughout her years working in the industry. By the time I finished the last class I took with her, I felt well-equipped to handle the acting industry! I would recommend Gina to anyone wanting to learn about acting and working in the film industry."

How to Become a Stage Actor: What Theater Students Need to Know

I’ve said it once and I will say it again, we are all actors by nature! Anyone can be an actor if given the proper tools and training.  There are ways to become a stronger stage actor and as performers we should always be learning and growing. When speaking to new actors, I often quote Michael Shurtleff, the author of my favorite acting text, “Audition”. He once said, “Use what you know. Don't worry about what you don't know.”  This couldn’t be more true! Acting is reacting and …

10 Things They Don't Tell You in Acting School

You’ve studied Stanislavski, Meisner, Adler, and Suzuki. You’ve learned the Circle of Fifths and mastered your second turns. But are you ready for the real world? Here are a few golden tidbits to help any recent grad transition from the acting school environment into the working world, written by actor and teacher Jasmine B.: 1. 4 Drama Techniques to Always Remember

Stars like Meryl Streep and Al Pacino make it look easy, but if you want to become a professional actor, don't expect to rely on talent alone. Even if you're a natural performer who can cry on command and memorize lines, you'll need to learn the following fundamental drama techniques to really master the art of acting. 1. Vocal Dynamics Your lines are just words until you deliver them, but unless your voice is well-trained, they'll still fall flat or sound forced. In order to accurately port …
