Hi, I'm Bri! I'm a graduate of North Central College with a BA in Music (Emphasis in Composition and Percussion) and a minor in History. I absolutely love music, every single aspect of it. I love to make music a part of everybody's lives who want and need it. I want to help you with your musical needs. I have been playing percussion for 19 years, singing for 25, and playing piano for 20 years. I was a member of a recording and performing Chicago band, Oblio and Arrow, where I provided backing vocals and helped with the song arrangements. I am currently a member of Trip City Lights, an LA local funk/soul band, where I provide lead and backing vocals. I also record vocals for different artists hooks, jingles, choruses, and songs (covers and originals). I have also composed/arranged various pieces for ensembles, bands, vocal groups, choirs,
plays, musicals, commercials, etc. I've worked with folks locally in LA, and all over the world. I love what I do!
History has always fascinated me. The way our world has developed and changed and continues to evolve is amazing. Everything can be tied back to the past, and I feel it's important to take a look back, put yourself in that time, and really study how things were to help understand why things are the way they are now.
Crocheting and knitting are a couple of good habits/hobbies I picked up about 10 years ago. I sell scarves online and I'm always working on some sort of project. I will have you knitting and pearling with the best of them!
Music, history, crochet, and knitting....I'm your girl!
As with crocheting, I can teach a range of students, from those with the beginning desire to learn to students wishing to hone specific techniques. My favorite techniques include in the round and double pointed needles, because who doesn't want to learn to avoid more sewing?
My name is Rhiannon and I am a third generation crafter. Originally I went to school for art history, all the while crafting. Eventually I had enough of studying other people's work and instead wanted to make my own and empower others to do the same.
I consider myself to be the "Swiss Army Knife" of crafters. I have delved into nearly every craft and love passing this knowledge onto my students. For these reasons I have a diverse range of crafts I can teach, including: knitting, crochet, embroidery, hairpin lace, needle felting, and shuttle tatting. In addition to my passion for a variety of crafts, I also love teaching a variety of skill levels, from students beginning their first stitch to someone who wants to redesign a pattern.
With a positive attitude and a willingness to learn I can teach you any of a variety of crafts.
Rhiannon was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Looking forward to the next lessons!

I'm enjoying my classes. I've been bringing Rhiannon stitches I want to learn without any notice, and she is always able to help me on the spot to learn them. Her flexibility (both in what I want to learn and in scheduling) makes private classes a pleasant and worthwhile investment. Highly recommend!
Students will be able to knit a sweater., beany cap., mittens., and many more....
I've been tutoring since high school and thoroughly enjoy helping students understand material and become more passionate about learning. I firmly believe that no student is "bad at Math (or any other subject for that matter) they just need to have the material presented differently.
I've been teaching knitting for 7 years and my students have gone on to create bags, scarves, headbands, and bracelets. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to complete a headband or scarf and as time goes on you'll be able to knit a hat in the round. I specialize in working with heavy weight yards and creating a funky, wildly textured projects. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
I have been working with knitting and crochet since 2004. I am a craft yarn certified knitting and crochet instructor and have been teaching professionally since 2010. This includes locations such as Michaels Arts and Crafts as well as Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate Charter School.
As my student, you can expect to learn basic through advanced skills crochet skills, including making a slip knot, single crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, how to make a granny square, crocheting in the round, and how to read patterns. In knitting, you will learn the skills of casting on stitches onto the needle, the garter and stockinette stitch, how to knit in the round using circular or double pointed needles, and how to read patterns.
No matter what your level, my goal is to make you feel confident and experienced enough for you to complete and cre
ate your own projects. Knitting and crochet are my passions and I am excited to help you reach your crafting goals. I look forward to working with you!
Erin is an outstanding instructor. She is very, very knowledgeable. I have a pattern and it was poorly written. She was able to untangle it and explain it to me so that I can work on it independently. She is very patient. I would highly recommend her to anyone learning knitting, stuck on a pattern, or want to expand on their knitting skills. She has a lot of knowledge and can explain and impart this knowledge very well. She is a truly great instructor.

Very knowledgeable. I think my knitting problem is solved.
From beginner to expert level! I aim to teach you how to create quality products from start to finish.
Located in the DC area.
I graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor in Music Education and am getting my graduate degree in Music Education from the University of Maryland. My primary instrument is clarinet and euphonium but am familiar with most instruments at a beginner to intermediate level. As a woodwind specialist, I have taught clarinet, flute and saxophone during summer camps and programs for multiple years. I'm currently the clarinet technique teacher at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC.
I have been knitting and crocheting for 12 years and have made a wide range of products from hair bows to sweaters.
I am patient and willing to teach all levels of students in a variety of subjects and am willing to cater the lessons to your needs.
Tyra is amazing. It was a bit hard to see virtually. We had to do FaceTime because your platform did not work which I believe was not a problem on my side but yours. Nonetheless I am looking forward to my next lesson. She’s a gem

Tyra is a wonderful teacher. My son (10) does lessons once per week. He has struggled in the group setting at school, but with Tyra he looks forward to his lesson every week and loves his time with her. Tyra has great methods of instruction, she knows her stuff, she's funny, kind, straightforward.

We love Tyra. She teaches in a selective high school for the arts, so is used to getting the best out of kids. And I love that she comes to our home!
My youth was spent in Eastern Europe which meant cold winters. With that came mom’s teaching on how to make a scarf, a blanket, a coffee mug wrapper, socks and sweaters. Though nowadays it may be counterproductive to knit, there is no better way to show someone you love than something that is handmade by you. I’ll teach you what it takes to get started. Book your sessions now and let’s start knitting.
Before reading about me, I'd like to share up front the honor that my newest student, R., has brought to me by choosing to learn Romanian. Nothing special so far except that he is 100 years old!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: a century old. He is the outmost inspiring person in my life by teaching me that age is just a number and that learning can happen any day if we choose so. R is a medical doctor, a psychologist, a chemist and biologist. Words can't even define how great of a man he is and how grateful I am to learn from him, too. For instance, about a famous language called "esperanto", a language created in the late 19th century.
I'm an enthusiastic learner even after 19 years of formal education (two Masters, one Bachelor) earned on two continents continued by US military education in various forms, and formally tested studen
t who needed to document skills that were not formally captured on paper (like the foreign languages I know).
I love interacting with people and pass on my knowledge from five visited continents, instill love for learning and continuous curiosity for any subject out there. Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it. Failing once doesn't mean that you'll never win (proof in my athletic years and life ever since); determination, hard work, self-motivation and a good supporting system can bring to reality even the most insignificant dreams that we believe may not come true, and especially those in which we passionately trust.
I believe in breaking down a goal into objectives, assigning tasks to each one of them, and then sticking to achieve them.
I'm a Certified Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. My hobbies include practicing foreign languages (and proper grammar rules which highly reflect on one's education) by speaking them, learning about cultures and slangs, etymology, watching foreign movies, traveling internationally, taking photos, reading (a lot), carefully planning with room for error and impulsive decisions (to take the boredom out of things), meeting with life long friends, drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors for inspiration and health.
I'm elated at the opportunity of brainstorming with you and giving you tools to be an independent learner.
I have a passion for knitting and will inspire you to discover the same joy knitting has brought to my life.
Are you a beginner? Don't be scared! My standard curriculum will teach you knitting terminology, how to read a knitting pattern, basic stitches, how to start & finish a project, as well as walk you through the supplies you will need. Next I will help you knit your first finished object that you can show off to your friends, family & even social media followers ;)
So you already know the basics but are looking to improve your skills? Great! I can help you move beyond simple pieces to more complex objects such as socks, hats, sweaters, or anything else you want to make.
Need help navigating the world of knitting patterns and yarn? I can help with that too! From sourcing indie dyed yarn to navigating the patterns online, I'm here to help.
Hi, I'm Abbie and I want to help you discover the joy of knitting! I've been knitting for over a decade. I've always had a passion for creativity and crafting, and my aunt first introduced me to knitting in middle school. When I went to college I didn't have as much time to knit as I would have liked, but dove back in as soon as I graduated. Knitting is not only a creative outlet for me, but I finding it very meditative and practical as well. I live in the Rocky Mountains so I need warm clothes and love slow fashion (I'm learning to sew in order to expand my me made wardrobe). I love to play with color and can't resist a great skein of yarn.
Some of my favorite projects to knit are socks, hats and scarves. I'm also currently enrolled in classes to learn how to tech edit knitting patterns to help designers produce accurate, easy to
follow knitting patterns.
Personally, I am a mother to a toddler, rescue dog & rescue cat. I live in Colorado with my family and I enjoy hiking in the Rocky Mountains, kayaking, fishing, camping, crafting and cooking.

"We've had Dawn teach a variety of classes at the Simsbury Public Library (CT). Our most popular is the arm knitting class we open to Teens & Adults. Every
one gets to take home an infinity scarf and they all leave learning a new skill. Dawn works well with all ages, is patient, and really enthusiastic about teaching what she loves. We can't wait to have Dawn back to teach more classes this Fall!"
"Tyra is amazing. It was a bit hard to see virtually. We had to do FaceTime because your platform did not work which I believe was not a problem on my
